2. Titus 2:11-15 For the grace of God that brings
salvation has appeared to all men, (12) teaching
us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,
we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in
the present age, (13) looking for the blessed
hope and glorious appearing of our great God
and Savior Jesus Christ, (14) who gave Himself
for us, that He might redeem us from every
lawless deed and purify for Himself His own
special people, zealous for good works. (15)
Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all
authority. Let no one despise you.
3. TITUS CHAPTER TWO
A. The first part of chapter 2 gives instructions to
different groups of people
1. Older men
2. Younger men
3. Older women
4. Younger women
5. Bondservants
B. The last part of verse 10 talks about adorning the
doctrine of God.
C. The rest of the chapter tells us what grace does
for us.
4. I. GRACE TEACHES US
A. Grace teaches us to LEAVE (v.12a).
1. Denying ungodliness
2. Denying worldly lusts,
B. Grace teaches us to LIVE (v.12b).
1. We should live soberly in the present age,
2. We should live righteously in the present age,
3. We should live godly in the present age
C. Grace teaches us to LOOK (v.13).
1. Looking for the blessed hope
2. Looking for the glorious appearing of our great
God and Savior Jesus Christ
5. II. GRACE CHANGES US
A. Grace redeems us from every lawless deed v.
14a. that He might redeem us from every
lawless deed
B. Grace purifies us v. 14b. purify for Himself
His own special people
C. Grace makes us zealous for good works v.
14c. zealous for good works.
6. III. WE ARE TO SHARE GOD’S GRACE
A. Titus was told to speak these things - Titus
2:15 Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke
with all authority. Let no one despise you.
1. Exhorting
2. Rebuking
3. Authoritatively
B. Our lives should be lived in such a way that
those outside of Christ will not despise us
but come to Him for salvation.
7. YOU AND GRACE?
A. Have you learned from God’s grace?
1. Are you denying ungodliness and worldly
lusts?
2. Are you living soberly, righteously and godly?
3. Are you looking forward to Christ coming
again?
B. Have you been changed by God’s grace?
1. Are you redeemed by His grace?
2. Are you purified by His grace?
3. Are you zealous for good works?
C. Are you sharing God’s grace?
