Exemplification Essay: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The one who falls and gets up is much stronger than the one who never fell. Not fighting for what
you believe in and giving up could be very fatal, for it builds up hardihood and fortitude; in
addition, it corrects all the people who doubted you. First and foremost, too many people are too
timid to go through all the trouble and pain to achieve past their limits; however, one act of bravery
could make a person's courage ascend to the sky. For example, Martin Luther King Jr. always had a
dream about slavery being demolished; therefore, he worked tirelessly and accomplished his goals.
Many people today are living freely because of his courageous and dauntless act of believing in
something and fighting for making it a reality.

Attending college once you finish high school has become a thing of the norm. Years ago,
college was considered a thing for the wealthy. If you were poor going to college may not have
been an option. With financial aid, those who wouldn't normally be able to afford college are able
to attend. There are many ways that can help pay for college but in the end, it is still can be
expensive. Student loans are very helpful but can put you in financial hardship trying to pay them
back. Tuition is a thing I know a little too well. I have been in college for almost teen years. The
one thing I regret is not getting a scholarship After I graduated in 2005 from high school, I went on
to attend Lone Star College. I have also attended a technical school...show more content...
There are tons of scholarship opportunities out there based on a variety of qualifications – academics,
athletics, cultural and community experiences, background, location, desired major or area of
study, accomplishments. If you get creative, you'll find a lot of options available out there. For
example, football scholarships aren't just for football players, but some schools offer them to
other members of the team like equipment managers (Sadler, 2017). The difference between loans
and scholarships is that you do not have to pay those scholarships back. There are literally
hundreds of different types available, so consider these as soon as possible. The more you are
awarded, the less money you'll have to pay back for student loans. Even if you earn a couple of
smaller scholarships, every little bit helps to whittle down that student loan balance (Student Debt
Relief, 2017). Last year I was awarded a five–hundred–dollar scholarship. I had to write a one–page
essay on why I thought I deserved to be chosen for the scholarship and why I wanted to go into
my career field. It was that simple. I encourage everyone to consider the available scholarships to
help pay for college. If there is an opportunity to pay for college without getting into debt, I would
advise anyone to take advantage of

Exemplification Essay: Democracy In America
Ah, Democracy. It's US primary season in again, and as the media gushes over the fresh bunch of
it's hard not to be inspired by this motley band of presidential hopefuls. While viewing this
spectacle of political discourse reaching new highs, a question may pop into your mind: "Could I do
it? Could I run in the presidential election and win?" The answer is quite simple: Of course you can!
After all, America is a democracy, a place where, with enough donations from multibillion dollar
conglomerates, your voice matters. If you dedicate yourself to it, maintain a steely resolve, and
follow this guide If you've decided to run, you need to reach the masses. For that you'll need a lot
of press. You see, a lot of the political chumps these days drain their campaign budget into airtime
on televisions and radios, trying to send their message across, but why do that on that when you can
get 24/7 coverage for free? The best way to straddle that wily beast of international media, and ride it
to victory, is to draw on a classic technique: spewing offensive comments. Not only will this catapult
your popularity to new heights, you'll be dominating dominate the national conversation, while als

people that you are supple, strong leader, one that can be trusted and held to a high moral standard.

Deondray Ashe known to family and friends as "Dooley" was two–years old when he died on June
14, 2010 of blunt force trauma. Deondray was found dead in his home and aside from blunt force
trauma had many injuries on his body. The event leading to his death was failure in properly using
the bathroom. Marcus Brown was home with Deondray, and Deondray was apparently misbehaving,
and did not want to use the bathroom. Investigators found that the day Deondray died, the stepfather

you what it means to really love someone. Your parents should not have given up on you, they

your story, and people like me are making it their life goals to stop other kids from going through
the same experience you went through. If I had the opportunity to meet you, I will tell you how
brave you were to stay with your parents. Not of what happened is your fault, and hoped someone

Exemplification Essay: The Immigration Process
You've probably heard the argument line "Why don't they just go back to their country?" or "Why
don't they just come here legally?" It isn't that simple and most importantly, it is an ignorant opinion.
When you say "Go back to your country", it's a lot more complicated than what your brain can
handle. An issue that's talked about a lot in our current news it the immigration crisis. The
immigration process is complicated, especially in the US.

By 1889, the locale had two names, community of "Motlo" or "Motto", named after a Seminole
chief and Lemon City which prevailed for being more appealing. Even though Lemon City had a
general store, barbershop, saloon, blacksmith shop, wharves and warehouses, a school, and a hotel,
all prior to the coming of the railroad in 1896 and the birth of City of Miami, the city was never
incorporated becoming known as "the city that never was." Up to the time that Henry Flagler
brought his railroad to Miami, Julia Tuttle's homestead had nothing more than Fort Dallas built

Brickell's trading post was the only establishment; Lemon City was the trade core of the

Types of Irony Is it strange how love can be a source of happiness, but also cause a lot of pain? Yet
people tend to search for love, and once these people find love it comes with both pleasure and ache.
Irony plays a role in love because love is what people perceive as joy but also causes hurt, yet
people still search for love. In Kate Chopin's Story of an Hour, there are different forms of literary,
situational, and dramatic irony used. The first type of irony which Kate Chopin uses is literary
irony. Literary irony is expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the
opposite. In The Story of an Hour, Louise says that her husband Brently is...show more content...
In the end of The Story of an Hour, Louise walks down stairs to see that Brently is actually alive
which causes Louise to fall into severe devastation and die. The last type of irony used in The
Story of an Hour is dramatic irony. Dramatic irony occurs when the meaning of the situation is
understood by the audience but not by the characters in the play. When the doctor in the story
says, "She had died of heart disease, of a joy that kills." The characters in the story, Josephine and
Richards, think Louise died out of joy when Brently is actually found to be alive rather than dead.
This realization causes Louise to fall into desolation and die because now she cannot live her life
freely. Dramatic irony also occurs when Josephine thinks Louise is sick in her room when she is
really experiencing joy. This falls under dramatic irony because Josephine thinks Louise is
becoming sick due to Brently's death, but the audience reading the story know that Louise is
actually full of joy. In The Story of an Hour, Kate Chopin uses these different types of literary,
situational, and dramatic irony in her story. Irony is the use of words to convey a meaning that is
the opposite of its literal meaning, but there are also other types of irony such as situational which is
situation in which actions have an effect that is opposite from what was intended. On the other hand,
dramatic irony is

It must be a case of "tough love." What could their child have done to have lost all rights of having
a roof overhead and being kicked out with nothing more than a bag of clothes and a couple dollars
for either some phone calls or some food? Still there are some who barely receive that. Truthfully
it's a hard pill to swallow when the reality of these adolescents having nobody to turn to because of
their heartbreaking lifestyles sets in. Being sexually, emotionally or physically abused by someone
close to home isn't any fault of their own; neither is having a parent or guardian who is more
focused on their next hit rather than handling responsibilities they unconsciously took on the
moment they realized they were bringing a child into this world. However, these underage people,
must learn to survive on their own two feet. What other choices do they have? Going to the police
and confiding in them 100% is a exhausting task in its own. These are the men and women who
took an oath and vowed to protect and serve each community with their entire being, but are the
same men and women who come to the "ghetto" or to the "'hood" and harass and arrest innocent
black men and black women for standing on the corner too long. A case of mistaken identity, right?
If these youngings see this on a daily basis happening on the same streets they dwell on, is it
somewhat understandable why they fear the thought of having to approach those

Exemplification Essay: Is College Worth It?
Is college worth it? That is, is college worth all the debt and stress that it brings? Americans with
four–year college degrees made 98 percent more an hour on average in 2013 than people without a
degree. While college is undeniably expensive, stressful, and at times frightening, college is
absolutely worth going to. Getting a higher education, going to college, is important because it gives
students an opportunity for a better future, one can gain valuable resources, such as important
connections with people, and going to college will most likely give you important work skills.
Most people in different parts of the world would die for a chance to have a better future for
themselves and for their families. One such example would be my parents....show more content...
Let's just say that in the future you are applying for a very remarkable, high–level job. Certainly you
can get the job on your own, but what if the CEO of that specific company is good friends with
one of the professors to whom you got very close with during the years that you spent at that
college. Maybe that One professor can influence the CEO to give you a shot at the job you
applied for. You see? What harm did that do? All that professor could have done was make sure
the CEO knew that you were going to be competent at the job you had applied for. While
obviously you were perfectly capable of getting the job completely on your own, some extra help
was very greatly appreciated. At college, most everyone makes friends. Special connections with
people that you will have for the rest of your life. In high school everyone, or at least a lot of people,
have friends. You will always have your high school friends, but I am convinced people get closer
to college friends because you go through the most life changing things with them. However,
connections are not important only for getting a job or for making friends. Some day you might
need some advice, on your life. Maybe advice about your family, or maybe advice about your job. It
will always be nice to know someone, perhaps a professor or a friend, who will be there for you

Exemplification Essay: The American Dream
The concept that individuals are supposed to work hard and make it big may not be as easy as it
sounds anymore. This philosophy was most likely derived from the origin of "rugged
individualism" by former President Herbert Hoover, who believed that nearly all individuals are
able to succeed on their own. However, the laissez–faire economy from the past is much different
than the nation's economy today, and so that concept has changed over time. The United States had
been known for being "The Land of Opportunity". The American Dream is the nation's ethical
appeal, "The National Ethos". It draws in and persuades people that there are opportunities to be
found in America. However, why is it then that a pessimistic attitude is arising in those...show more

Especially since that gap will make it harder for citizens to increase their income for financial
support. This is seen in an article where statistics showed that "most affluent 20 percent of families
have seen their incomes (adjusted for inflation) rise steadily at a high pitch...income was moving up
for the poor and middle income earners as well–but since 1970, those incomes have more or less
stalled" (Geewax). This is important because it shows the increasing economic gap between the rich
and poor, thus making the American Dream's popular motive to achieve upward mobility much
harder. Furthermore, with the inability to increase income, the majority of citizens feel as if they
are unable to keep up with the cost of living. As said in the article, "Today, income inequality in the
U.S. exceeds any other democracy in the developed world. Two–thirds of American families earning
less than $30,000 a year are often in crisis mode" (Zuckerman). By being unable to keep up with the
cost of living due to stagnant income, this becomes another economic barrier to those two–thirds of
the population. From dealing with the cost of education, food, and taxes, the economic inequality
and stalled incomes are keeping numerous citizens from achieving their American

For many of us, sports are a daily part of our lives. In fact, for most people who are now involved
in coaching, it may be either their first or second priority. For anyone who has chosen to undertake
the task of coaching sports, that coach must have a clear and defined coaching philosophy. As was
mentioned in the text and assignments for this week, if one does not have his or her philosophy
defined, it will make his or her job and goals of teaching and coaching that much more difficult to
obtain.
Character development is a great philosophy to have, it is the one which I myself try to live and
coach by, and one that personally, I feel should be adopted by more coaches. Far too often we see
or hear of a coach, be it a youth coach or someone involved in professional sports, who fails to
understand that while winning may be important, the number one goal should always be the well
being and growth (both personally and professionally) of the members of the team. Perhaps the
most recent example of this is the recent events which have and are still ongoing with the Miami
Dolphins. There is currently an ongoing investigation as to whether or not bullying is being allowed
or even encouraged in the locker room of the Dolphins....show more content...
While I have never personally had to deal with a situation as exaggerated as this one, I have seen
firsthand how bullying can cause severe problems and rifts in a team. While coaching a group of

physical skills or a combination of these were not as good as the majority of the team. Of course,
boys at that age will inevitably begin to recognize this and poke fun at the other

Exemplification Essay: A Career As A Therapist
Everyone should certainly be in therapy. I have learned through my own experiences that seeing a
therapist isn't only for periods of crisis. When I sought therapy during a bad breakup, it wasn't until
I was happier that I truly reaped the benefits of it. Yes, those that are undergoing a depression,
addiction or a bad breakup would need the help of a mental health professional but the benefits of
therapy extend far beyond personal tragedies.
As a member of society, I must interact with others daily and sometimes these interactions are
complicated and nuanced. Though I can usually deal with them intuitively, there are some that can
wear me down mentally. Yes, I can seek the advice of my friends and family but often their opinions
are biased because they are personally and emotionally invested in my well–being and I may not get
an honest opinion due to it being difficult for them to say things that would be hard for me to hear.

Asking someone if they are ready for college can be intimidating. Questions can begin as soon as
one starts senior year. Some will say that it feels like a race to get everything done because there
is constant pressure of hearing what others are doing. The decision on whether to go to college or
not is a personal decision. Also, applying for college can be tedious work. Becoming educated on
the process can help tremendously. It helps a lot to find someone that has been through it; there are
hidden secrets that few know about. As long as one is carefully completing the process, asking
questions, and making wise decisions, deciding to attend and apply to college can be easy. Is college
really worth it? Now–a–days, it seems that if someone does...show more content...
A positive aspect of going to college is that most employers, when hiring, will put those with a
college degree at the top. It does not mean that those with a degree are better, but it shows an
employer that a person has worked hard and can accomplish goals, which are what most are
looking for. In an article by Hansen, she states that "The lifetime income of families headed by
individuals with a bachelor's degree will be about $1.6 million more than the incomes of families
headed by those with a high–school diploma, according to the Postsecondary Education Opportunity
Research Letter" (Hansen). That amount of money can make a difference when a person begins
a family. Applying to College If one makes the decision to attend college, they are many steps to
consider when beginning the process. Often times, steps are left out when someone explains
what needs to happen. To some, this process does not need to be rushed. However, some believe
that it needs to take place as soon as possible. The first step is deciding on a school. There are
many schools out there to choose from, so a list of everything a student wants is ideal; it will
make narrowing down easier. The ideal time to being touring schools is the summer before one's
senior year. Touring schools, looking at requirements, and making sure the desired major is offered
should be taken into consideration first. It is also a good idea to find a couple schools that one is
interested in to allow variety when making a final

Government Assistance is a wonderful program that has been helping many Americans from
living on the streets. This can could be a great idea. However, in practice this is not the case.
There are plenty of people on government assistance that abuse the system for non necessities.
Whether it may be for "toys" or something more extreme such as drugs or alcohol, these people
should not be given financial aid if they are just going to waste it. Not only are they hurting the
program, but they are also hurting the taxpayers that fund the program. Because of this, there is a
largely believed notion that all people on government assistance as too lazy to get a job. Although I

Exemplication Essay

  • 1. Exemplification Essay: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The one who falls and gets up is much stronger than the one who never fell. Not fighting for what you believe in and giving up could be very fatal, for it builds up hardihood and fortitude; in addition, it corrects all the people who doubted you. First and foremost, too many people are too timid to go through all the trouble and pain to achieve past their limits; however, one act of bravery could make a person's courage ascend to the sky. For example, Martin Luther King Jr. always had a dream about slavery being demolished; therefore, he worked tirelessly and accomplished his goals. Many people today are living freely because of his courageous and dauntless act of believing in something and fighting for making it a reality. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Attending college once you finish high school has become a thing of the norm. Years ago, college was considered a thing for the wealthy. If you were poor going to college may not have been an option. With financial aid, those who wouldn't normally be able to afford college are able to attend. There are many ways that can help pay for college but in the end, it is still can be expensive. Student loans are very helpful but can put you in financial hardship trying to pay them back. Tuition is a thing I know a little too well. I have been in college for almost teen years. The one thing I regret is not getting a scholarship After I graduated in 2005 from high school, I went on to attend Lone Star College. I have also attended a technical school...show more content... There are tons of scholarship opportunities out there based on a variety of qualifications – academics, athletics, cultural and community experiences, background, location, desired major or area of study, accomplishments. If you get creative, you'll find a lot of options available out there. For example, football scholarships aren't just for football players, but some schools offer them to other members of the team like equipment managers (Sadler, 2017). The difference between loans and scholarships is that you do not have to pay those scholarships back. There are literally hundreds of different types available, so consider these as soon as possible. The more you are awarded, the less money you'll have to pay back for student loans. Even if you earn a couple of smaller scholarships, every little bit helps to whittle down that student loan balance (Student Debt Relief, 2017). Last year I was awarded a five–hundred–dollar scholarship. I had to write a one–page essay on why I thought I deserved to be chosen for the scholarship and why I wanted to go into my career field. It was that simple. I encourage everyone to consider the available scholarships to help pay for college. If there is an opportunity to pay for college without getting into debt, I would advise anyone to take advantage of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Exemplification Essay: Democracy In America Ah, Democracy. It's US primary season in again, and as the media gushes over the fresh bunch of it's hard not to be inspired by this motley band of presidential hopefuls. While viewing this spectacle of political discourse reaching new highs, a question may pop into your mind: "Could I do it? Could I run in the presidential election and win?" The answer is quite simple: Of course you can! After all, America is a democracy, a place where, with enough donations from multibillion dollar conglomerates, your voice matters. If you dedicate yourself to it, maintain a steely resolve, and follow this guide If you've decided to run, you need to reach the masses. For that you'll need a lot of press. You see, a lot of the political chumps these days drain their campaign budget into airtime on televisions and radios, trying to send their message across, but why do that on that when you can get 24/7 coverage for free? The best way to straddle that wily beast of international media, and ride it to victory, is to draw on a classic technique: spewing offensive comments. Not only will this catapult your popularity to new heights, you'll be dominating dominate the national conversation, while als getting countless millions of advertising for free! Sure, some of the press coverage...show more content... Do the honorable thing, and instead of attacking their ideas, eviscerate their personal reputations. Give your rivals fun little demeaning nicknames , and refer to them exclusively by them. Threaten "to spill the beans" on their wives, or allege pedophilia, a great standby. Whatever you do, don't apologize. Never apologize, never surrender, and never give up. An apology shows weakness, you have to be above the mere mortals you are striving to lead. You have to show the people that you are supple, strong leader, one that can be trusted and held to a high moral standard. • 9. exemplification essay Oct. 30, 2013 Prof. Farve Exemplification Essay Types of Irony Is it strange how love can be a source of happiness, but also cause a lot of pain? Yet people tend to search for love, and once these people find love it comes with both pleasure and ache. Irony plays a role in love because love is what people perceive as joy but also causes hurt, yet people still search for love. In Kate Chopin's Story of an Hour, there are different forms of literary, situational, and dramatic irony used. The first type of irony which Kate Chopin uses is literary irony. Literary irony is expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite. In The Story of an Hour, Louise says that her husband Brently is...show more content... In the end of The Story of an Hour, Louise walks down stairs to see that Brently is actually alive which causes Louise to fall into severe devastation and die. The last type of irony used in The Story of an Hour is dramatic irony. Dramatic irony occurs when the meaning of the situation is understood by the audience but not by the characters in the play. When the doctor in the story says, "She had died of heart disease, of a joy that kills." The characters in the story, Josephine and Richards, think Louise died out of joy when Brently is actually found to be alive rather than dead. This realization causes Louise to fall into desolation and die because now she cannot live her life freely. Dramatic irony also occurs when Josephine thinks Louise is sick in her room when she is really experiencing joy. This falls under dramatic irony because Josephine thinks Louise is becoming sick due to Brently's death, but the audience reading the story know that Louise is actually full of joy. In The Story of an Hour, Kate Chopin uses these different types of literary, situational, and dramatic irony in her story. Irony is the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning, but there are also other types of irony such as situational which is situation in which actions have an effect that is opposite from what was intended. On the other hand, dramatic irony is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Exemplification Essay Kandace Gordon Exemplification Essay Another minor dispute has escalated into yelling and screaming, throwing of objects and breaking of hearts. Words that shouldn't be expressed between two loving people cause tears and feelings of hatred, anger and disrespect. This is just one of many problems that could have been effortlessly resolved before the mole hill grew to the size of Mt. Everest but of course walking away from the situation isn't always the easiest thing to do. It must be a case of "tough love." What could their child have done to have lost all rights of having a roof overhead and being kicked out with nothing more than a bag of clothes and a couple dollars for either some phone calls or some food? Still there are some who barely receive that. Truthfully it's a hard pill to swallow when the reality of these adolescents having nobody to turn to because of their heartbreaking lifestyles sets in. Being sexually, emotionally or physically abused by someone close to home isn't any fault of their own; neither is having a parent or guardian who is more focused on their next hit rather than handling responsibilities they unconsciously took on the moment they realized they were bringing a child into this world. However, these underage people, must learn to survive on their own two feet. What other choices do they have? Going to the police and confiding in them 100% is a exhausting task in its own. These are the men and women who took an oath and vowed to protect and serve each community with their entire being, but are the same men and women who come to the "ghetto" or to the "'hood" and harass and arrest innocent black men and black women for standing on the corner too long. A case of mistaken identity, right? If these youngings see this on a daily basis happening on the same streets they dwell on, is it somewhat understandable why they fear the thought of having to approach those Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. At a young age, my Grandma had the poorest living conditions. Brought here from Okinawa, Japan, she lived in very poor housing with poor schools. She could not attend school until the age of 7 because she was not able to speak English very fluently. She moved out as soon as she could because she was abused by her father. She quickly married and had 4 kids. Upon disclosure that her husband was abusive to her children, she left him fueled with memories of her childhood. She then was a single mother with 4 kids. My Grandma then had to learn what it took to be grown up. Because she was raised in the Mormon religion, she thought she would need to constantly be reliant on a man; nevertheless, her situation would not allow this. • 12. Exemplification Essay: Is College Worth It? Is college worth it? That is, is college worth all the debt and stress that it brings? Americans with four–year college degrees made 98 percent more an hour on average in 2013 than people without a degree. While college is undeniably expensive, stressful, and at times frightening, college is absolutely worth going to. Getting a higher education, going to college, is important because it gives students an opportunity for a better future, one can gain valuable resources, such as important connections with people, and going to college will most likely give you important work skills. Most people in different parts of the world would die for a chance to have a better future for themselves and for their families. One such example would be my parents....show more content... Let's just say that in the future you are applying for a very remarkable, high–level job. Certainly you can get the job on your own, but what if the CEO of that specific company is good friends with one of the professors to whom you got very close with during the years that you spent at that college. Maybe that One professor can influence the CEO to give you a shot at the job you applied for. You see? What harm did that do? All that professor could have done was make sure the CEO knew that you were going to be competent at the job you had applied for. While obviously you were perfectly capable of getting the job completely on your own, some extra help was very greatly appreciated. At college, most everyone makes friends. Special connections with people that you will have for the rest of your life. In high school everyone, or at least a lot of people, have friends. You will always have your high school friends, but I am convinced people get closer to college friends because you go through the most life changing things with them. However, connections are not important only for getting a job or for making friends. Some day you might need some advice, on your life. Maybe advice about your family, or maybe advice about your job. It will always be nice to know someone, perhaps a professor or a friend, who will be there for you through no matter what is happening in your Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 14. Exemplification Essay: The American Dream The concept that individuals are supposed to work hard and make it big may not be as easy as it sounds anymore. This philosophy was most likely derived from the origin of "rugged individualism" by former President Herbert Hoover, who believed that nearly all individuals are able to succeed on their own. However, the laissez–faire economy from the past is much different than the nation's economy today, and so that concept has changed over time. The United States had been known for being "The Land of Opportunity". The American Dream is the nation's ethical appeal, "The National Ethos". It draws in and persuades people that there are opportunities to be found in America. However, why is it then that a pessimistic attitude is arising in those...show more content... Especially since that gap will make it harder for citizens to increase their income for financial support. This is seen in an article where statistics showed that "most affluent 20 percent of families have seen their incomes (adjusted for inflation) rise steadily at a high pitch...income was moving up for the poor and middle income earners as well–but since 1970, those incomes have more or less stalled" (Geewax). This is important because it shows the increasing economic gap between the rich and poor, thus making the American Dream's popular motive to achieve upward mobility much harder. Furthermore, with the inability to increase income, the majority of citizens feel as if they are unable to keep up with the cost of living. As said in the article, "Today, income inequality in the U.S. exceeds any other democracy in the developed world. Two–thirds of American families earning less than $30,000 a year are often in crisis mode" (Zuckerman). By being unable to keep up with the cost of living due to stagnant income, this becomes another economic barrier to those two–thirds of the population. From dealing with the cost of education, food, and taxes, the economic inequality and stalled incomes are keeping numerous citizens from achieving their American Get more content on HelpWriting.net

This was her first day back to school and then the babysitters after school. Over the weekend she had spent her own money she had earned from doing chores around the house to buy a small stuffed bunny rabbit. AD had taken the rabbit with her in her book bag to school in the morning so that she could have it at the babysitters when she got out of school. After multiple warnings from her father about not taking it because she will leave it at the babysitters, AD insisted on taking it. Just as predicted, once AD returned home from the babysitters she remembered that she had forgotten her bunny. This did not become an issue until it was Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. For many of us, sports are a daily part of our lives. In fact, for most people who are now involved in coaching, it may be either their first or second priority. For anyone who has chosen to undertake the task of coaching sports, that coach must have a clear and defined coaching philosophy. As was mentioned in the text and assignments for this week, if one does not have his or her philosophy defined, it will make his or her job and goals of teaching and coaching that much more difficult to obtain. Character development is a great philosophy to have, it is the one which I myself try to live and coach by, and one that personally, I feel should be adopted by more coaches. Far too often we see or hear of a coach, be it a youth coach or someone involved in professional sports, who fails to understand that while winning may be important, the number one goal should always be the well being and growth (both personally and professionally) of the members of the team. Perhaps the most recent example of this is the recent events which have and are still ongoing with the Miami Dolphins. There is currently an ongoing investigation as to whether or not bullying is being allowed or even encouraged in the locker room of the Dolphins....show more content... While I have never personally had to deal with a situation as exaggerated as this one, I have seen firsthand how bullying can cause severe problems and rifts in a team. While coaching a group of ten year old boys in baseball, there were a few players who either through a lack of experience, or physical skills or a combination of these were not as good as the majority of the team. Of course, boys at that age will inevitably begin to recognize this and poke fun at the other Get more content on HelpWriting.net

But he had a bad habit of buying artistic treasures and antiquities and charging them to his employer. Here's how the university's audit department investigated his crimes and shut down the "Fairbanks Collection." If there were a law that required people to trade their names for a single adjective, Lawrence Fairbanks would be cosmopolitan. A tallish, gaunt man of 45, Lawrence held the position of assistant vice chancellor of communications –– the glitziest job in the glitziest department of Aesop University. • 18. Exemplification Essay: A Career As A Therapist Everyone should certainly be in therapy. I have learned through my own experiences that seeing a therapist isn't only for periods of crisis. When I sought therapy during a bad breakup, it wasn't until I was happier that I truly reaped the benefits of it. Yes, those that are undergoing a depression, addiction or a bad breakup would need the help of a mental health professional but the benefits of therapy extend far beyond personal tragedies. As a member of society, I must interact with others daily and sometimes these interactions are complicated and nuanced. Though I can usually deal with them intuitively, there are some that can wear me down mentally. Yes, I can seek the advice of my friends and family but often their opinions are biased because they are personally and emotionally invested in my well–being and I may not get an honest opinion due to it being difficult for them to say things that would be hard for me to hear. A therapist, however, is not someone who is physically present in the world I am emotionally navigating and...show more content... I learned that replacing "you were being very disrespectful" with "I'm feeling very unhappy with what happened" was less confrontational and far more effective. • 19. Asking someone if they are ready for college can be intimidating. Questions can begin as soon as one starts senior year. Some will say that it feels like a race to get everything done because there is constant pressure of hearing what others are doing. The decision on whether to go to college or not is a personal decision. Also, applying for college can be tedious work. Becoming educated on the process can help tremendously. It helps a lot to find someone that has been through it; there are hidden secrets that few know about. As long as one is carefully completing the process, asking questions, and making wise decisions, deciding to attend and apply to college can be easy. Is college really worth it? Now–a–days, it seems that if someone does...show more content... A positive aspect of going to college is that most employers, when hiring, will put those with a college degree at the top. It does not mean that those with a degree are better, but it shows an employer that a person has worked hard and can accomplish goals, which are what most are looking for. In an article by Hansen, she states that "The lifetime income of families headed by individuals with a bachelor's degree will be about $1.6 million more than the incomes of families headed by those with a high–school diploma, according to the Postsecondary Education Opportunity Research Letter" (Hansen). That amount of money can make a difference when a person begins a family. Applying to College If one makes the decision to attend college, they are many steps to consider when beginning the process. Often times, steps are left out when someone explains what needs to happen. To some, this process does not need to be rushed. However, some believe that it needs to take place as soon as possible.
