3. UNITED STATES NAVAL ACADEMY:
The Academy is offering a fast-paced, six-day
experience called Summer Seminar for high achievers
who have completed their junior year in high school.
Summer Seminar teaches you about life at the Naval
Academy.
Applications are now open and will close on March 31
st . See Ms. Dolan or Mr. Fong for details.
4. STATE DEPARTMENT VISIT:
A representative from the State Department will be
visiting the school on Friday, March 10 th , at 10:35am.
She will provide information on careers, internships
and fellowships in the State Department. This is a
great opportunity for seniors to learn about the
possibilities for working with the federal government.

5. LIFEGUARD TRAINING:
This class is limited to 15 candidates and you must be
at least 15 years old.
The course starts this Thursday and the cost is $35.
See Mr. Fong for details.
6. COLLEGE VISITS:
4/10 – Portland State University
4/11 – Colorado State University-Pueblo
Open to grades 10-12. Sign-up on Naviance, under
“College” tab; and sign-up at least one day before
visit. Get permission form signed by your teacher.
Forms are available in Mr. Fong’s Office or on
Naviance under“document library”
7. CHEERLEADING:
Tryouts for grades 7-12 will be held during the first
two weeks of April. No experience necessary.

8. ANNUAL BLOOD DRIVE:
Our annual blood drive will be held on Tuesday, March
28 th . This is open to 16 & 17 year olds, staff and
parents.
Please email Mrs. Sutter (esutter@gmail.com), or stop
by her room (A320) to sign-up.
Please support this very important cause.
9. SHOP FOR HIGHER EDUCATION:
Sacred Hearts is once again participating in this
annual statewide 6-week program, which will run
through March 28 th , at all Foodland and Sack-n-
Save stores.

10. LOST & FOUND:
Please stop by the HS Office if you have lost any
items such as: lunch boxes, school sweaters, non-
school clothing, water bottles and flasks, eye-glasses,
etc.
All items left unclaimed will be donated or discarded.
