Many consider that their own faith is the only completely true one and religions other than their own
are all man–made. They believe that the consensus of scientists and the beliefs of all other religions
are at least partly false. Others believe that God revealed their faith to humanity in the form of
sacred books. For example, islam regard qura'an as composed by God and dictated to a human while
Christians believes that the author was inspired by God to write accurate text. The result is that
Islam considers the Qur'an to be without error and Christianity consider the Hebrew Scriptures to be

practiced or completely random as long as it is repeated or done in particular way. There are some
traditions that can be argued as rituals and vise versa. The main difference between tradition and
ritual is that tradition is passed down from generation to generation and has been established over a

For example, adult Muslims practice prayer five times a day. As a Christian, it is more flexible. I
perform at least once a day. Specifically, I pray right before I go to sleep. There are certain steps I do
in each prayer that has become second nature. I start by asking God to watch over my loved ones,
and then follow with asking God for help and guidance over stresses in my life as well as thanking
Him for living another day, and I finish with repeating the "Lord's Prayer", a Christian prayer that
was taught by Jesus to his disciples. I do this because if I didn't, I would feel that the prayer was
