2. As I didn’t want my products to be any thing like Kate Nash’ products, I decided not to
look at her products in order to create mine. To make it clear all my media products were
by the same artist I wanted to create a connection between them through the text,
colours, style and through the artists appearance. To do this I needed to have them all
with the same house style. The colour theme through out my products was white and
light yellows, along with the images and footage been in black and white. I used the same
font in everything product which was from the urban fonts website and was called
.
To suite the style I was trying to create I kept the costume of the artist plain but edgy. By
having a plain dress but striking make-up. In the chorus of my music video I had a black
dress with studs on the shoulders and hair scrapped back with dark eye make-up. This
was to suite the idea I was creating for the chorus of the music video. I also used this
look for the front cover of my Digi-Pack to link both together and because I thought this
was a strong look for the target audience to first see. Through out my video the artists
make-up and outfit only changes for the chorus just to suite the interpretation of the
lyrics.
3. I used the green screen for the versus of my music
video so I decided to use that for the images for my
front cover and the images for my website. This
again was to link all of them together so the look
almost becomes recognisable for my artist. As I use
black and white and colour in my music video to
interpretive the two sides to the artist in the song,
the versus been a more calmer and soft side so I did
these in black and white but the chorus’ in colour for
a more striking look. I also used black and white and
colour images for my website for the same reason as
above. However for the Digi-Pack as I only needed
one image for my cover I decided to do it in black and
white but use the costume and make-up I did for the
colour side to the video. This was it is using
something different but putting both sides together.
4. I believe I created a strong and clear brand identity through out the 3 products, Digi-
Pack, website and music video. I have tried my best to create a constant flow of theme,
style, colour scheme and over all images by taking elements from my music video and
putting them into my Digi-Pack and website creating a brand identity for my artist.
If I had the chance to start my products again I don’t believe I would do anything different
in to create my brand identity as I believe all three of my products together all go together
well and create a brand identity.
