3. Thales
Thales of Miletus was a famous and
popular Greek philosopher of pre-
Socratic times. He was born in around
mid 624 BC in the city of Miletus Asia
Minor in (TURKEY ). Thales is known
as the first Greek philosopher,
mathematician and scientist.

He knew the pyramids shadow at the
same time of the day would equal its
height.

6. When he died ?
Thales is believed to have died
in around 546 BC. The cause
of death is unknown.
