 Milton’s version of the Biblical character.
 Adam is first thought of God .
 He is higher in hierarchy.
 Eve, created to be Adam’s mate. she is Created from the
womb of Adam.
 Hierarchical relation between Adam and Eve.
 Humankinds disobedience is a corruption of God’s hierarchy.
Superiority and inferiority
 Equality finds in garden of Eaden.
But in reality they are not equal because their “Genders” are
not equal.
 Adam received the Gift of reasoning from god.
 Eve had must submitted to Adam.
 Eve is victim of patriarchy society.

4.  Love of adam and eve.
 The purpose behind their creation is to love each
other..
 God created Adam for Eve and Eve for Adam.
 God’s purpose was to raise them as a embodiment
of love.
 Love also becomes the weakness of Adam.
 His affection towards Eve leads him to eat the fruit
of knowledge.
 He wants to avoid losing her.

5. ADAM AND EVE LOST PARADISE
 After eating fruit of knowledge fruit of knowledge.
They recognize their sin.
 The knowledge that they gained was only of good
that they have lost.
 we find fall of Adam and Eve involve notion of
error and wanderimg from the right path.
 After God come to know about the sin of Adam and
Eve.
 God punished Eve.
 The seeds of patriarchy are in punishment of God.

6.  Women suffer’s a lot because of God’s punishment.
 They wanted to become superior through fruit of
knowledge.
John Milton’s purpose in representation
of Adam and Eve in his epic poem is he wants to
justifies the ways of God.
