Whole Foods Job Structure
Case Study 1: Whole Foods, Prepare a Job Structure
By
Matthew Osborne
HRM 598
Professor Frederick Perry
Introduction Whole Foods is a supermarket that has several different positions that it needs to evaluate. This paper will address the recommended
titles, and levels to be associated with this group of positions. This will help the company determine what and how to pay its associates. It will also
help the associates understand what to expect when working at Whole Foods, what it takes to do a good job at Whole Foods. This will also help the
company determine career paths for high potential individuals.

What departments overlap? If the job is responsible for stocking shelves, what other responsibilities fall into that job? In any case, the largest job
responsibilities have to be considered before smaller ones and along with that, how much does each job affect the overall profitability of the store.
Job C was the Prepared Foods Department Team Leader, the largest compensable factors was the fact that it is responsible for profitability, expense
control, buying, compliance, as well as hiring, development and termination. Job H is responsible for the same things, but on a much larger scale,
as it is responsible for multiple stores. This is important because it defines that the job is a job that has a large amount of responsibilities including
supervising other employees as well as other responsibilities such as profit and loss. These must be looked at first, then, the transactional types of
responsibilities need to be broken out. Where the majority of the time is spent, is where the overall structure of the job is defined. Looking at these
different things, gives a clear picture of what the job actually does. Then it can be compared to other jobs within the industry to see if the company is
following industry best practices for these positions, as well as determine how the positions should be compensated.
Evaluation of Job Descriptions
The job descriptions were lacking in a few areas. They did

Why Do You Need To Be A Teen Activist
When things aren't right and you know they should be. You don't need to be a superhero, you need to be a teen activist. A teen activist is a teenager
who sees something, and they think it needs to be fixed. But instead of ignoring it and leaving it for someone else they fix it. Important qualities of
teen activists is that they need to be brave, and willing to fight for their cause. But the most important one is they need to be hardworking.
The first reason that teen activists need to be hardworking is that they have to be able to raise hope for their cause. The "Malala Fund" is a great
example of a hard working teen activist trying to change the mesh of bad choices made by humans and make them right. It claims "If one girl with an
education can change the world, what can 130 million do?" According to "Life After Bully" by Hannah Rand Alex Libby collected money to make
some t–shirts that said "I stand for the silent." "Turning E–Waste Into E–Treasure" claims that Alex Lin collected E–Waste, refurbished it and sold it to
other people. Teen activists need to be hard working and give hope to people affected by the poor opportunities in life.... Show more content on

"How to Help," by Karen Fanning tells us that. Iqbal changed the laws about child labor "for six years, he spent his days crouched over a

she has the Malala Fund to help make schools for children including girls. That's why teen activists need to change

Informative Essay: Justin Bieber's Celebrities
The Peeber is back in the headlines, well not the Peeber, but the Bieber. According to entertainment news media outlet, E! News the hashtag,
#JustinPeeber, can finally be put to rest. Justin Bieber was seen walking in Los Angeles with a nice sized wet stain on the front of his sweatpants,
which left comments to start swirling around that he just might have peed on himself. This "pee" outing by Bieber took Twitter by storm, which
laughed the trending hashtag, #JustinPeeber. Bieber has finally come forward and cleared up the wet pants incident, doing the best thing that any
celebrity in his position would do, he made fun of himself. Bieber first went on Instagram on Thursday and he referenced the Billy Madison meme,

Sliding Door Research Paper
Sliding patio doors can be difficult to clean–especially if you have little ones running around. The glass becomes covered in fingerprints, the screen
itself becomes caked in dust– and soon, you realize that you cannot see out of your once beautiful sliding door. Although spraying the door with your
garden hose may work temporarily, you will quickly realize that it just isn't enough. So what do you do? Remove the door and tackle cleaning it. If
you don't know how, don't worry–it is easier than it sounds and you can use these seven steps to make it even easier: 1. Ensure You Have the Proper
Tools Before you get all gung–ho, make sure you have the proper tools to both remove and clean your sliding door. To do it properly, you will need:
Screwdriver Vacuum Large tarp Dish Detergent Lubricant (WD–40) Old toothbrush ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To make things flow smoothly, place these items in your workspace–, which may be your backyard, garage, or anywhere large enough to hold the door.
2. Remove the Door Once you have everything gathered, you should remove the door. Use your screwdriver to loosen the screws that hold the
door in place. Set the screws aside in a safe place. Carefully lift the door from the tracks and lay it down on the tarp. Repeat with the screen door. 3.
Brush Away Debris Gently brush away any excess dirt and debris from the screen door with an old towel or toothbrush. If there is still a lot of
excess dirt, use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove the rest. Make sure you remove any dirt and debris from the track, as well.
Again, you can use an old rag, toothbrush, or a vacuum. If you have any buildup, use steel wool or an old toothbrush with soapy water to remove it.
4. Apply Water Prepare the screen door for cleaning by rinsing it with water. You can use your garden hose to do this if you have one. If not, you can
use a bucket filled with water and simply pour it over the

Eagle Scout Research Paper
I am proud to be an Eagle Scout. Since first grade, when I joined Cub Scouts, I have participated in and enjoyed the Scouting program, and I cannot
imagine what my life would have been like without it. Though not all of my friends continued through scouting (in fact I am the only member of my
Cub scout den who continued through Scouts), I have continuously made new friends and relationships through the scouting program. Scouting has
been a defining part of my life, and my life would be drastically different without the Scouting program. During fifth grade, after completing my arrow
of light and crossing over from Cub scouts to Boy scouts, I learned that no longer were our parents responsible for running and planning meetings and
outings. It was a wholly different kind of experience. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rather than being lead by the older scouts, it was me and my friends who began to run the troop. The ones that I had looked up to had mostly left, and,
almost seemingly without warning, it was our turn to lead, and mentor the new scouts. I was a troop guide, then an Assistant senior patrol leader, and
then the quartermaster. All the while, I continued on my own to advance steadily through the scouting ranks. However, with these greater
responsibilities, came greater enjoyment to be had out of scouting. We went to summer camps, high adventure camps, and dozens of troop–sponsored
camping trips. I was nominated for, and accepted into, the Order of the Arrow, the Honor Society of Scouting. After being nominated by my Troop, I

Epoxy Research Paper
If you have a home with a garage, you have so many possibilities in terms of transforming this area. In order to make this area a better place to be,
whether it's for work or fun, these steps can be taken.
Put Epoxy on the Floors
A stressful thing about having a garage is all of the grease that can accumulate on the surface. This doesn't have to be as much of a problem when you
put epoxy on the floors. When you do this, you are essentially putting an invisible, protective barrier on it. This protects the surface from things like
grease and oils that may drip underneath your car.
Epoxy garage floors are strikingly shiny, helping you improve the visual aesthetics of your garage. Putting epoxy on the floors in the garage can also

You need to see things while working in order to stay safe. That's where LED work lights come in handy.
These lights give off a bright type of light that will not cause irritation to your eyes. These lights are also long–lasting. In fact, some of these LED
lights can last up to 50,000 hours. This is advantageous because you won't have to replace these lights often, giving you the chance to save some money.
In terms of safety, these lights are great because they don't give off any amount of heat. Therefore, you don't have to worry about getting burned if you
get too close to them while working.
Replace Damaged Garage Door
After a while, your garage door may not be in pristine condition. There may be dents all over it, and it may not go up and down smoothly. In either
case, you can always have it replaced with a new one. There are a lot of good types to choose from today, such as steel and aluminum.
Garage doors made out of aluminum are particularly beneficial because they will not rust. Whether it rains or snows, your garage door will retain its
elegance and structure. Aluminum garage doors are also affordable compared to steel garage doors. Whatever type you buy, make sure a professional
installation company sets it up. This prevents you from getting injured or wasting a lot of

The Battle Of The Fairfax Court House In Virginia
The first person who reported back to the Fairfax Court–House in Virginia after the skirmish was Major General Julius Stahel of the commanding
Cavalry Division department of Washington due to the orders received. The skirmish began between the hours of seven and ten in the morning. Stahel
states that it all started with an attack done by "Mosby, with his band of guerrillas, together with a portion of the Black Horse Cavalry and a portion of
the North Carolina Regiment." The strategic attack was done in the sneakiest way, Mosby and his conjoined calvaries and regiment blindsided their
opponents without any warning as they came from Warrenton. So to sum it up, the army suddenly came out the woods and crept behind the troops

However it wasn't over yet, seventy men who were a part of the Fifth Regiment New York Cavalry, that was posted in the rear came to the rescue.
Under the command of Major Hammond, the men came upon the rebels from behind just as they had did the First Virginia Cavalry in their sneak
attack. Shortly after, a running fight ensued between both sides. The fight continued for about five to seven miles down the side of the railroad.
So, the men followed the rebels in every direction possible, killing and wounding a substantial amount of soldiers. Mosby being one of the
wounded, was reported shot in the shoulder, resulting in the compromise of his force with the exception of twenty. However the end didn't come
until the fight made its way toward Warrenton "all the prisoners taken by Mosby were recaptured, with the exception of two." Not only that but
Major General Stahel believes if their horses had "been in better condition, and not tired out by the service of the last few days, Mosby, nor a single
one of his men, would've escaped." But despite the horses being tired out, and them being outnumbered the First Virginia and Fifth Regiment New
York managed to come out with a crazy victory. On the other had, the rebels suffered a tragic loss. Their men were murdered and scattered along the
road from Warrenton Junction to Warrenton. However besides those killed, many were immediately removed from the fields and woods by citizens

Marriott Honor College Motto
The University of Utah Honors College motto engraved on the rock outside of the Marriott Honors Center reads "Serve the World". The motto
assumed to be written and approved by the donor and honors boards is an attempt to inspire college students through a short phrase. It's safe to say the
people on these boards have good–hearted motives in writing a phrase they believe will drive honors students to have an unstoppable drive to produce
a positive change in the world. Aspiring to be a phrase vague enough to make students want to find the solution for climate change, cure cancer, and
end world hunger; while also being a phrase that is powerful enough to make students feel like they have the power to change serve the world, the motto
attempts to reach near impossible heights. The well intentioned ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The motto written by unknown author however is too abstract to convey any directional importance, is too similar to the motto's of BYU, and it is
short and overwhelming. It is important to understand and appreciate what the board was trying to do, whether they were trying to please donors,
they were donors, or maybe that's just what the board found the most uplifting, but if the organization is expecting to create critically minded
students like the Honor's College tries to pride itself in doing; the motto needs to convey that. It not only needs to reflect and satisfy what the donors
and board are trying to do but also accomplish the goals of the University's Honors College as well, so that money continues to flow into programs
like the Honors College, but the programs can also carry out their objectives. If satisfying the donors is too distant of a distraction from the end goal, it
is not worth their donations. Taking a quote from a well–known respected philosopher could be the answer to the

The Importance Of College In College
Being in college is way different then it was when you were in high school. In high school some students take it as all fun and games but once you
hit college every decision you make will affect you in your life. College is where someone people start to get their life together. To succeed you
need to make a survival skill that will help you get through college and achieve. Skills such as having an agenda that will help you put your
priorities straight and on task. Also being careful who you let in your life for they can't drag you down. Not only that, but make sure you make
time for you to study that way you will be prepared for any surprise such as pop quizzes or assignments. For instance, When I was about to start my
first year in college I had people telling me to just take one or two classes first. As hard headed I was I didn't listen and went straight into full time
classes. Not only did I notice I should've listen but now I completely understand where they were coming from. My head was exploding when I notice
how pack and overwhelmed I was getting because I didn't had time to do every little thing I had to do on time. Having that personal experience made
me notice that you should never overload yourself with so many things at once. For instance not overloading yourself by having back to back tough
classes. That way you would be giving yourself time in between to relax and even some time to study. Thats where having a schedule comes in handy.
You could put dates ahead

My Life : The Best Path In Life
When a child is born, its family raises it in hope for him to become successful. Inevitably time remains slow, yet it is constant. Thanks be to God
that we wake up every morning knowing that we can rely on its consistency to creep on us as children grow older. A mother's dream, with three
children, is for the last child to live happily and a father's is for his children to be cautious of the threats the world has within. But as a result of the
values and characteristic that the child has developed, he chose his own path in life. He chose to become a pilot. When he reached high school, he
learned that the best way to earn your career is to obtain a degree that certifies you in your profession. That is when he decided to attend Embry–Riddle
Aeronautical University. There he wants to major in Aeronautical Science and someday earn his way to his own 747.
I grew up in Fort Washington Maryland. Every Morning I woke up to the sound of an aircraft on final approach to Reagan National Airport.
Unknowingly, that is where my passion for aviation was born. Yet, at such a young age, I did not realize that. One day, my father took me to the
annual air show at Andrew Air Force Base. I was about 10 years old and I believe that that day was when I realized my passion. Time kept progressing
and before I knew it, I was a senior in high school, trying to figure out what my plan was going to be. Then I met Colonel Drew, a former graduate
from Embry–Riddle and a International Space Station

The Main Roles And Causes Of The Rhodesian Bush War
Memo 7 The Rhodesian Bush War lasted approximately 15 years, from July 1964 to December 1979. It is one of the longer civil wars of the 20th
century, especially when the years of political unrest leading up to open conflict are taken into account. Its length was due to a variety of factors that
fit within the existing theories of civil war length. While the war was an anti–colonial civil war, which are often brief, it was fought predominately as a
peripheral insurgency, with insurgent forces maintaining safe–havens outside the country. External subsidies also played a significant role in
prolonging the war, with both the Chinese and the Russians providing material and training in support of the rebel groups. The conflict was fought
over an indivisible good, which forced both sides to fight towards a binary outcome. These factors not only contributed to the length of the war, but
were also largely responsible for its escalation from political protests and localized violence to a full civil war. The insurgents fighting the central
government in Rhodesia had safe havens in the neighboring countries of Zambia and Mozambique, which caused the war to take on the form of a
peripheral insurgency. ZAPU and ZANU both relocated to Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, after they were banned by the Rhodesian government. Once
their opposition to the government turned violent, they maintained their Zambian bases and used it as a staging ground for launching operations into
Rhodesia. Without

My EMT-B Practical Testing
Going into the testing I was expecting it to be a lot like my EMT–B practical testing. I expected the tests to be scenario based, with a list of things the
students had to do. I was expecting the format to be stricter ex: having to say BSI right away and scene safe. Going in I figured nerves would be
very high for some of the students during this time. Not only is it finals week and the students are already stressed, but also you are being awkwardly
tested by some stranger. I was expecting the students to ask a lot of questions after the test regarding their score and what was done correctly and
incorrectly. The students, in my opinion, had plenty of time and material to be prepared for the exam. Students were given time in class occasionally...

It's important to have rooms reserved, the bags ready to use, and the students aware of testing location. During the exam we were running late, but we
seemed to do a good job of not wasting time and getting students in and out. It's important to make sure you have enough of everything and that all the
proctors are prepared. Along with that it's important to be mindful of time and the students to keep testing running smoothly. When testing multiple
students with different proctors it seems as though things aren't fair. Though if everyone takes notes on why they graded things the way they did it's
easier to average out everyone's exams. For me I just made a mental note of what I was looking for and what a student needed to do to get credit. I kept
the same standards for every student that I tested. Along with that it's important not to be bias depending on the student. You shouldn't know the
student on a personal level or have taught them because this could lead to unfair

Chapter 2 Of The Annual Shape Trip-Personal Narrative
It was day 2 of the annual canoe trip that my Boy Scout troop goes on. I was in a kayak because of a lack of canoes. The day started out with a cold
and groggy morning. The scouts ventured out to find wood to start a fire with, and the adults began to fix breakfast and their morning cup of
coffee. After the boys had gathered enough wood for a fire, and the adults had breakfast prepared to be cooked, the scouts constructed a roaring
fire for everyone to cook their food over. Breakfast was set to be fish. Since we were without any electronics or cooking devices, we made "hobo
packs," which consisted of putting all of our food in an aluminum foil wrap and heating it. The painstaking wait was over, and we now had a delicious
meal to fill our stomachs before another day on the water.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

stomachs were full. Once more, we abided by our Scout Motto, and left the island so we could paddle our way to the end of our endeavour. Just a short
distance of nearly a mile from the island, some heavy rapids awaited our coming. They were something we all had to just deal with, and figure out
by trial and error, the best way to pass through them. A fellow scout of mine, Ben, decided he wanted to be the first to try his luck in these rapids. Ben

something with our time away from school. However, I personally feel like my life is a bit busier than most others. To start off a normal day after
school on a monday is actually quite calm, until tuesday hits. After class ends I rush over to VAMF( Basically a geek club at our school) for I
happen to be the president of our club. Shortly after I rush home to quickly eat food so I can go to my next destination, scouts. I happen to be the
oldest scout there, not only by age but by experience as well. Luckily I'm no longer in charge of them and I get to sit back and make sure they don't do

What Makes A Person A Positive Role Model For Young Adults?
What makes a person a positive role model for young adults in today's world? At our school, we follow the acronym of 'PRIDE'. We believe that to be
a successful student and/or positive person in general, you should be prepared, respectful to both teachers and peers, should show integrity, should be
determined, and should show excellence in their work, studies, and everyday activities. During several events that occur throughout the graphic novel
Nimona it is seen that the main character, Nimona, shows three of the five positive behaviors that the students of Einstein middle school are
encouraged to show. In Nimona, a young shape–shifter by the name of Nimona teams up with notorious villain Lord Ballister Blackheart to expose the
ruler of their kingdom. It is soon shown that Nimona may be more powerful than Blackheart was previously lead to believe. Blackheart and Nimona
strive to prove to the kingdom that Sir Ambrosius Goldenloin and his workers at the Institution of Law Enforcement and Heroics aren't the heroes
everyone thinks they are by using whatever means necessary. The three 'PRIDE' traits that Nimona repeatedly demonstrates throughout the graphic
novel are being prepared, determined, and excellent. Time after time, Nimona shows preparedness while working alongside Blackheart. Being
prepared not only means bringing supplies or doing work on time, but it also means to be ready of any obstacle that is thrown at you whether
physically, mentally, or emotionally. One of the

Military Leadership Philosophy Essay
Leadership Philosophy
SSG Kaseman, Katie
I believe that for any section to be successful the Soldiers and leadership must know and understand the mission of that unit. They also must understand
what their leadership expects of them. As your leader, I also must understand what is expected of me. This philosophy will be the framework of those
expectations.
Personal Values
The personal values I believe in the most are integrity, honesty, and dedication to duty. I personally live by these values, and they are the ones I look
for first is my Soldiers.
Integrity/honesty: For me, these two go hand in hand. You cannot have integrity without honesty, and if you are honest, you generally have great

Expectations of myself/ what you can expect of me
Fair: I will be fair when assigning your duties. I believe in equally distributing the workload. I will not stand for one or two people carrying all the
weight in the section. You can also expect me to not assign you something you are not capable of handling.
Understanding: I will be understanding when issues arise both at work and at home. I know that if things are happening personally you as humans
need to have the time to take care of those issues. If you have problems, you can also come to me to discuss them, and together we will find a solution.
Schooling: I will support you in your desire to attend schooling both civilian and military. In order to further your careers, you must attend schools. I

I Am My Top Priority Essay
My top priority is to further develop empathy immediately upon returning. My lack of empathy is evident through each module and the Johari Window
whether it is intellectual empathy, recognition of others, or in being emotionally present. Each negatively affects professional relationships, closes my
mind to others' perspectives, and truly limits my effectiveness. Thus, I will meet with the Deliberate Development (DD) consultant, a PhD–level coach,
twice a month and accomplish training with her beginning with empathetic listening. Although this will be a long–term process, I will know I'm
meeting my goal through 90–day and 180–day feedback sessions with my commander and peers. I will attain this goal, and a coach possesses the
skills and tools to assist me.
Second, I need to clean my own house. Based on the Johari's Window, I have a few personal struggles I need to address through counseling. These
directly impact my leadership as I tend to over–compensate for each which negatively affects my "Worry Over Image" and "Drive for Success".
Simply, leaders need clean wells to drink from. I will schedule an appointment through Mental Health to determine and work on the root cause for these
immediately upon my return and attend needed follow–up appointments. This is an attainable goal and is relevant and realistic. A measure and timeline
on this are difficult, but I will be able to gauge progress in the same 90–day and 180–day feedbacks as addressing this will support my

Who Moved My Cheese
Introduction "Who Moved My Cheese?" tells a story of change, of how we react to it, and the trouble we can find ourselves in when we don't
follow that change. The story is about four characters, two mice, and two "little people." The characters live in a maze chasing cheese. The cheese
represents anything we chase after in life and believe it will make us happy. The story details the trials and troubles we all have in daily lives. Book
Summary Who Moved My Cheese?, by Spencer Johnson, is a parable that shows how individuals deal with change differently. In this story the four

several things he had learned about change. He wrote about these things on the wall in an effort to assist anyone who had to make the same

important to anticipate change. "Get Ready for the Cheese to Move." Regretting the fact that he was unprepared for change he wrote, "Anticipate

wrote; "Adapt to Change Quickly. The Quicker You Let Go of Old Cheese, The Sooner You Can Enjoy New Cheese." Haw continued noting such
things as the importance of change and moving with the cheese, enjoying the adventure of change and being prepared to quickly change again and
again. (Johnson 74) Haw learned from the mistakes he made the first time and was prepared to use this newly acquired knowledge on his next

Scout Reflection
On Saturday, the 28th of October, I presented Earth Rocks to Cub Scouts who were earning their Merit Badge. As I now reflect on the two
sessions I taught that day, I wonder if I could have ever been truly prepared for them. I believed I had everything lined out and timed to take us
right up to the time their session was over. However, that was not the case because the scouts knew a considerable amount more about the subject
than I realized. I feel honored to have been able to work with such intelligent groups of scouts. During the first session, I quickly realized that these
Cub Scouts knew an impressive amount about the information I was presenting, so I forced myself to change how I was presenting the material. I
engaged the scouts into the material by asking each one tons of questions about what they already knew. Then I made sure they stayed busy with
hands on activities that really engrossed them into the material. I believe that when I had to change my lesson plans on the spot, I did decently well. I
was able to better grab the scouts' attention and help them learn more information than before they walked into the session. One of the most
challenging ideas I tried to teach to the scouts would have to be about geographical surroundings and the geographical materials that make up the
buildings. I feel as if I did not know enough about the subject matter, or how to present it correctly in a way that was truly benefiting the scouts.
However, the scout leaders were

According to J.R. Batliboi , "The ledger is the chief of accounts and it is in this book that all the business transactions would ultimately find their place
under their accounts in a duly classified form."
A Ledger should be kept in the form of bound register, or in the form of cards or in punched sheets or it can be in the form of loose leaf binder. Every
account in the ledger is opened preferably or it can be in a separate page or card
These all business transactions are first recorded in Journal or Special Purpose Subsidiary Books. The next step is to transfer the entries to the
respective accounts in Ledger. In other words this shows that all the entries are recorded in Journal or Special Purpose Subsidiary ... Show more content

All transactions relating to an account should be entered at one place. In others words, two separate accounts should not be opened for posting
transactions relating to the same account. If there are two customers with similar names, say the Account of Anil (of Karol Bagh) and the Account of
Anil (of Chandni Chowk).
2.The word "To" is used before the accounts which appear on the debit side of an account. Similarly, the word 'By' is used before the accounts which

In the jobs search I searched for Operations Manager. With the degree I am going to accomplish, that is a career I would like to dive into. I have
always liked the operational side of a business. When conducting the search there weren't any openings in my area where I live but more towards the
St. Paul/ Minneapolis area. Unless I wanted to relocate in the future that would probably where I would want to go to search for jobs like that.
One of the jobs I saw that was somewhat local was an Operations Manager was for an Company that manufactures segments for collection vehicles.
Some of the qualifications for this job include; bachelors in business, 3–5 years' experience, oversee plant production, conduct meetings, forecasting
production and applying schedules, incorporate new methods and costs.
After looking at my resume, I know there are things I should change or fix. In the resume builder I decided to build a new resume with the
information I already had. I looked at different samples and picked the outlay that I like and went from

Speech On Eagle Scout
There is one thing that President Gerald R. Ford; the first man on the moon, Neil Armstrong; filmmaker Steven Spielberg and I all have in common.
We are all Eagle Scouts. Since 1911, there have been more than one million Boy Scouts that have earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank
advancement in Scouting. However, only about two and a half percent of ALL Boy Scouts have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. It is a very long
path, but one that is well worth the journey. This is the one thing that will have brought me both the greatest happiness and success throughout my life.

Now I believe that this is an extremely important motto due to the fact that you can use this in every aspect of your life as I stated above. If your
mind and body are prepared for any obstacle that is thrown your way there is nothing that can stop you. This hits me strongly because I believe that
when you set your mind to a goal in order to better yourself you need to set them out of reach so you continue to grow stronger as an individual.
Now onto one particular point of the Scout Law. A Scout is Helpful. I believe this is the absolute most important point from the Scout Law. This is
because from the very first breath you take as an infant, you will look out for yourself with a self–centered point of view. For it is human nature to
preserve oneself. But a Scout has the challenge of putting others first despite his own needs. This is a great representation of the honor that is
involved with being a Scout. In order to be helpful, a Scout must be ready, able and willing to help as described in the Scout Handbook. This means
that a Scout needs to have the knowledge, skills and abilities in order to help someone which goes back to the previous described Scout Motto "Be

Boy Scouts Accomplishments
One day, adult leaders from a local Boy Scouts troop came to my first grade class recruiting new Scouts. I remember the Scoutmaster mentioning how
much fun and rewarding Scouting can be for a young man and they also talked about the highest rank in the organization, the Eagle. According to the
Boy Scouts of America headquarters, only four percent of all registered youth who participates in Scouting earns the Eagle rank. It's one of the most
coveted achievement, a Scout can seek and the most difficult one to attain. As a young boy, I loved animals and my favorite one, the Eagle. I knew
that day; I wanted to join Boy Scouts with hopes and dreams of becoming an Eagle Scout.
The motto of the Cub Scouts is "Do your Best" and I did. I worked my way through, from Cub Scouts to Webelos and finally to Boy Scouts, where,
I worked through six of my ranks very swiftly to get started toward my Trail to Eagle. After my new Scout badge, I obtained my Tenderfoot, Second
Class and First Class ranks. Therefore, I began work on my 21 merit badges that are pre–requisite toward the Eagle rank and furthermore, twelve–plus

Surviving Process Analysis
One of the worst things that can happen in a survival situation is not being prepared. There are two ways you can not be prepared the first is with
knowledge the second is not being supplied. When one is not prepared the elements can quickly take their life. Depending on what part of the
world you are in animals can are a large danger. Hear are some examples the rattlesnake, bobcat, mountain lion and coyotes. If this is not scary
enough then consider starving or dying of dehydration. One way to fix all of this is to be prepared with knowledge. What i mean if you know how
to use the great outdoors to your advantage it can help you to survive. A example of this is making a shelter and fire with nothing but bear hand and a
shoelace. This is the only solution to not being prepared... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson Essay
In this story the four

want to see it either, but now I realize they're never going to put yesterday's Cheese back. It's time to find New Cheese." Haw now realizes that
changes will take place and he must move with the change and react to it positively. So before Haw began his search for new cheese still afraid and

egged a whole neighborhood he would cause more than 100,000 dollars in damage. Would you you want someone to egg your house? Next Justin
is a bad example to his many fans. He endorses a line of clothes and all his fans buy it because it was worn by JB. what if he endorsed weapons i

case about him being deported came up. The argument is that he hasn't done enough illegal acts to get his visa taken

Are we expectant, are we living in a dream, or are we simply not prepared? After reading this book, I think the biggest question you should ask
yourself is, would I be prepared mentally if something drastic changed my life. In the book, there are many examples of tragedies and hardships.
From losing family to not being sure what to do next with life. Therefore, that is how the real world and this book are very much alike.
The characters in the book that we should follow and in some ways strive to be are Molly and Vivian. Courageous, compassionate, and hardworking
are a few words to describe these characters. An adequate example of courageousness is Vivian when she went around Minnesota from house to

We humans are social animals. We normally prefer others around us and enjoy sharing experiences with others. In some situations, some of us like to

Some people may have experience hiking while others don't. It's important to be prepared when your solo hiking. Let's talk about getting prepared, the

out there in the business world because before this trip I had very little exposure to looking into business environments, cultures, and interactions. The

of the companies to follow.
As we continued through to the various company visits, I learned so many things about global business. The office cultures all seemed to be
carefree, yet still very productive. When people think of business they think of small cubicles in office buildings, but these companies proved again
and again that business can be fun and profitable simultaneously. Trips to the Feldon Forest Farm, Roadside Tavern, and Burren Smokehouse all
demonstrated that you do not have to be a huge name brand to have a global market and be successful. Ultimately, my favorite company to visit was
CBRE, so I wish to explore the real estate area more. Visiting this company expanded my views on real estate and all the various aspects that come
with it. Having multiple American employees there for our visit showed that it is still possible to go global within the real estate industry. Prior to the

symbols in this game weren't particularly well animated – especially when a win occurs – but that's something that can be easily glossed over.
Conclusion We can be honest and say that we didn't exactly expect much from Wolf Cub when it was first

The Power Of Poetry In Terence This Is Stupid Stuff By A....
The Power of Poetry Terence This is Stupid Stuff, by A.E. Housman compelling work of poetry that addresses mainly the theme of the power of
poetry and why we should read poetry. Many sections in this poem portray this theme, but one line that shows it best is the section in which Terence,
the person whose perspective the poem is being told through, explains that you need to read little bit of poetry so you will be prepared when hard
times come to you. Another section that portrays this theme of the power of poetry and why we should read poetry is the section in which Housman is
talking about the fact that, when you get drunk, the world seems great and you are happy, but the happiness is temporary, but poetry helps you
permanently. A third section that portrays this theme of the power of poetry and why we should read poetry is the section in which Terence is talking
about King Mithridates, and that he built up an immunity to the world's poisons by eating little bits of the poison so when others tried to assassinate
him, he was immune. Terence suggests that poetry can be like little bits of poison, so when the bad times come, you will be ready. Terence This is

you for times when you are sad or are in bad times because you will be able to see what struggles people have been through and can relate to them.
This is shown in the quote, "". This section shows that Housman thinks that people should read poetry even when they are not sad because it feels

Every week for about a year, Murray and another scout met with Scott Graham who is an Eagle Scout. With the combination of peer support and adult
influence, Murrays faith grew in a way which I could never provide. Scott genuinely and personally cared about the boys spiritual well–being. Murray
has not said that he will go into Ministry but he has applied for admission into, Word of Life Bible Institute whose motto is "Life is Ministry". Jeff
Reese, also an Eagle Scout, was Murray's Sunday School teacher. Scott and Jeff are friends and it was so great to have an Eagle Scout reiterate Mr.
Graham's teachings and keep Murray accountable at church as well.
Jamboree was another life changing experience for Murray. He really didn't know what to expect and was apprehensive about attending, but agreed
to try. He wasn't the only one with apprehension, I was scared to death. I knew that he had great leaders but Murray was just so fragile. He came
into this world severely premature at 22 weeks and 1.5 pounds, it was just so hard to let him go. What an experience! He grew so much during
Jamboree and I am grateful he was able to

Whole Foods Job Structure

  • 1. Whole Foods Job Structure Case Study 1: Whole Foods, Prepare a Job Structure By Matthew Osborne HRM 598 Professor Frederick Perry Introduction Whole Foods is a supermarket that has several different positions that it needs to evaluate. This paper will address the recommended titles, and levels to be associated with this group of positions. This will help the company determine what and how to pay its associates. It will also help the associates understand what to expect when working at Whole Foods, what it takes to do a good job at Whole Foods. This will also help the company determine career paths for high potential individuals. Evaluation of Jobs and Job Structure In creating the job structure, each job needs to be evaluated to see where it falls ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What departments overlap? If the job is responsible for stocking shelves, what other responsibilities fall into that job? In any case, the largest job responsibilities have to be considered before smaller ones and along with that, how much does each job affect the overall profitability of the store. Job C was the Prepared Foods Department Team Leader, the largest compensable factors was the fact that it is responsible for profitability, expense control, buying, compliance, as well as hiring, development and termination. Job H is responsible for the same things, but on a much larger scale, as it is responsible for multiple stores. This is important because it defines that the job is a job that has a large amount of responsibilities including supervising other employees as well as other responsibilities such as profit and loss. These must be looked at first, then, the transactional types of responsibilities need to be broken out. Where the majority of the time is spent, is where the overall structure of the job is defined. Looking at these different things, gives a clear picture of what the job actually does. Then it can be compared to other jobs within the industry to see if the company is following industry best practices for these positions, as well as determine how the positions should be compensated. Evaluation of Job Descriptions The job descriptions were lacking in a few areas. They did ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Why Do You Need To Be A Teen Activist When things aren't right and you know they should be. You don't need to be a superhero, you need to be a teen activist. A teen activist is a teenager who sees something, and they think it needs to be fixed. But instead of ignoring it and leaving it for someone else they fix it. Important qualities of teen activists is that they need to be brave, and willing to fight for their cause. But the most important one is they need to be hardworking. The first reason that teen activists need to be hardworking is that they have to be able to raise hope for their cause. The "Malala Fund" is a great example of a hard working teen activist trying to change the mesh of bad choices made by humans and make them right. It claims "If one girl with an education can change the world, what can 130 million do?" According to "Life After Bully" by Hannah Rand Alex Libby collected money to make some t–shirts that said "I stand for the silent." "Turning E–Waste Into E–Treasure" claims that Alex Lin collected E–Waste, refurbished it and sold it to other people. Teen activists need to be hard working and give hope to people affected by the poor opportunities in life.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "How to Help," by Karen Fanning tells us that. • 4. Sliding Door Research Paper Sliding patio doors can be difficult to clean–especially if you have little ones running around. The glass becomes covered in fingerprints, the screen itself becomes caked in dust– and soon, you realize that you cannot see out of your once beautiful sliding door. Although spraying the door with your garden hose may work temporarily, you will quickly realize that it just isn't enough. So what do you do? Remove the door and tackle cleaning it. If you don't know how, don't worry–it is easier than it sounds and you can use these seven steps to make it even easier: 1. Ensure You Have the Proper Tools Before you get all gung–ho, make sure you have the proper tools to both remove and clean your sliding door. To do it properly, you will need: Screwdriver Vacuum Large tarp Dish Detergent Lubricant (WD–40) Old toothbrush ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To make things flow smoothly, place these items in your workspace–, which may be your backyard, garage, or anywhere large enough to hold the door. 2. Remove the Door Once you have everything gathered, you should remove the door. Use your screwdriver to loosen the screws that hold the door in place. Set the screws aside in a safe place. Carefully lift the door from the tracks and lay it down on the tarp. Repeat with the screen door. 3. Brush Away Debris Gently brush away any excess dirt and debris from the screen door with an old towel or toothbrush. If there is still a lot of excess dirt, use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove the rest. If not, you can use a bucket filled with water and simply pour it over the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Eagle Scout Research Paper I am proud to be an Eagle Scout. Since first grade, when I joined Cub Scouts, I have participated in and enjoyed the Scouting program, and I cannot imagine what my life would have been like without it. Though not all of my friends continued through scouting (in fact I am the only member of my Cub scout den who continued through Scouts), I have continuously made new friends and relationships through the scouting program. Scouting has been a defining part of my life, and my life would be drastically different without the Scouting program. During fifth grade, after completing my arrow of light and crossing over from Cub scouts to Boy scouts, I learned that no longer were our parents responsible for running and planning meetings and outings. It was a wholly different kind of experience. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Rather than being lead by the older scouts, it was me and my friends who began to run the troop. The ones that I had looked up to had mostly left, and, almost seemingly without warning, it was our turn to lead, and mentor the new scouts. I was a troop guide, then an Assistant senior patrol leader, and then the quartermaster. All the while, I continued on my own to advance steadily through the scouting ranks. However, with these greater responsibilities, came greater enjoyment to be had out of scouting. We went to summer camps, high adventure camps, and dozens of troop–sponsored camping trips. I was nominated for, and accepted into, the Order of the Arrow, the Honor Society of Scouting. After being nominated by my Troop, I participated in a service project where we slept under the stars, followed by a period of silence and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Epoxy Research Paper If you have a home with a garage, you have so many possibilities in terms of transforming this area. In order to make this area a better place to be, whether it's for work or fun, these steps can be taken. Put Epoxy on the Floors A stressful thing about having a garage is all of the grease that can accumulate on the surface. This doesn't have to be as much of a problem when you put epoxy on the floors. When you do this, you are essentially putting an invisible, protective barrier on it. This protects the surface from things like grease and oils that may drip underneath your car. Epoxy garage floors are strikingly shiny, helping you improve the visual aesthetics of your garage. Putting epoxy on the floors in the garage can also make them ... These lights give off a bright type of light that will not cause irritation to your eyes. These lights are also long–lasting. In fact, some of these LED lights can last up to 50,000 hours. This is advantageous because you won't have to replace these lights often, giving you the chance to save some money. In terms of safety, these lights are great because they don't give off any amount of heat. Therefore, you don't have to worry about getting burned if you get too close to them while working. Replace Damaged Garage Door After a while, your garage door may not be in pristine condition. There may be dents all over it, and it may not go up and down smoothly. In either case, you can always have it replaced with a new one. There are a lot of good types to choose from today, such as steel and aluminum. Garage doors made out of aluminum are particularly beneficial because they will not rust. Whether it rains or snows, your garage door will retain its elegance and structure. Aluminum garage doors are also affordable compared to steel garage doors. Whatever type you buy, make sure a professional installation company sets it up. The Battle Of The Fairfax Court House In Virginia The first person who reported back to the Fairfax Court–House in Virginia after the skirmish was Major General Julius Stahel of the commanding Cavalry Division department of Washington due to the orders received. The skirmish began between the hours of seven and ten in the morning. Stahel states that it all started with an attack done by "Mosby, with his band of guerrillas, together with a portion of the Black Horse Cavalry and a portion of the North Carolina Regiment." The strategic attack was done in the sneakiest way, Mosby and his conjoined calvaries and regiment blindsided their opponents without any warning as they came from Warrenton. However it wasn't over yet, seventy men who were a part of the Fifth Regiment New York Cavalry, that was posted in the rear came to the rescue. Under the command of Major Hammond, the men came upon the rebels from behind just as they had did the First Virginia Cavalry in their sneak attack. Shortly after, a running fight ensued between both sides. The fight continued for about five to seven miles down the side of the railroad. So, the men followed the rebels in every direction possible, killing and wounding a substantial amount of soldiers. Mosby being one of the wounded, was reported shot in the shoulder, resulting in the compromise of his force with the exception of twenty. However the end didn't come until the fight made its way toward Warrenton "all the prisoners taken by Mosby were recaptured, with the exception of two." Not only that but Major General Stahel believes if their horses had "been in better condition, and not tired out by the service of the last few days, Mosby, nor a single one of his men, would've escaped." But despite the horses being tired out, and them being outnumbered the First Virginia and Fifth Regiment New York managed to come out with a crazy victory. On the other had, the rebels suffered a tragic loss. Their men were murdered and scattered along the road from Warrenton Junction to Warrenton. • 9. Marriott Honor College Motto The University of Utah Honors College motto engraved on the rock outside of the Marriott Honors Center reads "Serve the World". The motto assumed to be written and approved by the donor and honors boards is an attempt to inspire college students through a short phrase. It's safe to say the people on these boards have good–hearted motives in writing a phrase they believe will drive honors students to have an unstoppable drive to produce a positive change in the world. Aspiring to be a phrase vague enough to make students want to find the solution for climate change, cure cancer, and end world hunger; while also being a phrase that is powerful enough to make students feel like they have the power to change serve the world, the motto attempts to reach near impossible heights. The motto written by unknown author however is too abstract to convey any directional importance, is too similar to the motto's of BYU, and it is short and overwhelming. It is important to understand and appreciate what the board was trying to do, whether they were trying to please donors, they were donors, or maybe that's just what the board found the most uplifting, but if the organization is expecting to create critically minded students like the Honor's College tries to pride itself in doing; the motto needs to convey that. It not only needs to reflect and satisfy what the donors and board are trying to do but also accomplish the goals of the University's Honors College as well, so that money continues to flow into programs like the Honors College, but the programs can also carry out their objectives. • 11. The Importance Of College In College Being in college is way different then it was when you were in high school. In high school some students take it as all fun and games but once you hit college every decision you make will affect you in your life. College is where someone people start to get their life together. To succeed you need to make a survival skill that will help you get through college and achieve. Skills such as having an agenda that will help you put your priorities straight and on task. Also being careful who you let in your life for they can't drag you down. Not only that, but make sure you make time for you to study that way you will be prepared for any surprise such as pop quizzes or assignments. For instance, When I was about to start my first year in college I had people telling me to just take one or two classes first. As hard headed I was I didn't listen and went straight into full time classes. Not only did I notice I should've listen but now I completely understand where they were coming from. My head was exploding when I notice how pack and overwhelmed I was getting because I didn't had time to do every little thing I had to do on time. Having that personal experience made me notice that you should never overload yourself with so many things at once. For instance not overloading yourself by having back to back tough classes. That way you would be giving yourself time in between to relax and even some time to study. Thats where having a schedule comes in handy. You could put dates ahead ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. The Main Roles And Causes Of The Rhodesian Bush War Memo 7 The Rhodesian Bush War lasted approximately 15 years, from July 1964 to December 1979. It is one of the longer civil wars of the 20th century, especially when the years of political unrest leading up to open conflict are taken into account. Its length was due to a variety of factors that fit within the existing theories of civil war length. While the war was an anti–colonial civil war, which are often brief, it was fought predominately as a peripheral insurgency, with insurgent forces maintaining safe–havens outside the country. External subsidies also played a significant role in prolonging the war, with both the Chinese and the Russians providing material and training in support of the rebel groups. The conflict was fought over an indivisible good, which forced both sides to fight towards a binary outcome. These factors not only contributed to the length of the war, but were also largely responsible for its escalation from political protests and localized violence to a full civil war. The insurgents fighting the central government in Rhodesia had safe havens in the neighboring countries of Zambia and Mozambique, which caused the war to take on the form of a peripheral insurgency. ZAPU and ZANU both relocated to Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, after they were banned by the Rhodesian government. Once their opposition to the government turned violent, they maintained their Zambian bases and used it as a staging ground for launching operations into Rhodesia. Without ... I expected the tests to be scenario based, with a list of things the students had to do. I was expecting the format to be stricter ex: having to say BSI right away and scene safe. Going in I figured nerves would be very high for some of the students during this time. Along with that it's important to be mindful of time and the students to keep testing running smoothly. When testing multiple students with different proctors it seems as though things aren't fair. Though if everyone takes notes on why they graded things the way they did it's easier to average out everyone's exams. For me I just made a mental note of what I was looking for and what a student needed to do to get credit. I kept the same standards for every student that I tested. The day started out with a cold and groggy morning. The scouts ventured out to find wood to start a fire with, and the adults began to fix breakfast and their morning cup of coffee. After the boys had gathered enough wood for a fire, and the adults had breakfast prepared to be cooked, the scouts constructed a roaring fire for everyone to cook their food over. Breakfast was set to be fish. Since we were without any electronics or cooking devices, we made "hobo packs," which consisted of putting all of our food in an aluminum foil wrap and heating it. During several events that occur throughout the graphic novel Nimona it is seen that the main character, Nimona, shows three of the five positive behaviors that the students of Einstein middle school are encouraged to show. In Nimona, a young shape–shifter by the name of Nimona teams up with notorious villain Lord Ballister Blackheart to expose the ruler of their kingdom. It is soon shown that Nimona may be more powerful than Blackheart was previously lead to believe. Blackheart and Nimona strive to prove to the kingdom that Sir Ambrosius Goldenloin and his workers at the Institution of Law Enforcement and Heroics aren't the heroes everyone thinks they are by using whatever means necessary. The three 'PRIDE' traits that Nimona repeatedly demonstrates throughout the graphic novel are being prepared, determined, and excellent. As I now reflect on the two sessions I taught that day, I wonder if I could have ever been truly prepared for them. However, that was not the case because the scouts knew a considerable amount more about the subject than I realized. I feel honored to have been able to work with such intelligent groups of scouts. During the first session, I quickly realized that these Cub Scouts knew an impressive amount about the information I was presenting, so I forced myself to change how I was presenting the material. I engaged the scouts into the material by asking each one tons of questions about what they already knew. Then I made sure they stayed busy with hands on activities that really engrossed them into the material. I believe that when I had to change my lesson plans on the spot, I did decently well. I was able to better grab the scouts' attention and help them learn more information than before they walked into the session. One of the most challenging ideas I tried to teach to the scouts would have to be about geographical surroundings and the geographical materials that make up the buildings. • 31. The Orphan Train Orphan Train Are we expectant, are we living in a dream, or are we simply not prepared? After reading this book, I think the biggest question you should ask yourself is, would I be prepared mentally if something drastic changed my life. In the book, there are many examples of tragedies and hardships. From losing family to not being sure what to do next with life. Therefore, that is how the real world and this book are very much alike. The characters in the book that we should follow and in some ways strive to be are Molly and Vivian. Courageous, compassionate, and hardworking are a few words to describe these characters. An adequate example of courageousness is Vivian when she went around Minnesota from house to house with bad foster parents after bad foster parents. As a person I hope that if I am in a situation like this, I will be fearless like Vivian and know that in the end it will get better. This furthers my statement on being mentally prepared because being forced out of your home and not knowing anyone would be a very difficult situation to go through. This quote is a perfect example of having a good mentality and being courageous, compassionate, and hardworking. The experience truly opened my eyes to global business, and made a huge impact on my education. Coming into this semester at CU I wondered if business really was the right career choice for me, but this trip changed my perspective entirely and validated any previous doubts. The trip, most importantly, proved that there are so many opportunities out there in the business world because before this trip I had very little exposure to looking into business environments, cultures, and interactions. The visits that we took to Google, Zayo, IMB, Barry Callebaut, CBRE, and more far surpassed any of my expectations. The early morning treks to different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... That initial visit opened my eyes to all the possibilities that lie ahead. Our previous visit to Google in Boulder gave me a little insight on what it would be like, yet the visit was still better than any of my expectations. Google was a great company to start at, as it set high expectations for the rest of the companies to follow. As we continued through to the various company visits, I learned so many things about global business. The office cultures all seemed to be carefree, yet still very productive. When people think of business they think of small cubicles in office buildings, but these companies proved again and again that business can be fun and profitable simultaneously. Trips to the Feldon Forest Farm, Roadside Tavern, and Burren Smokehouse all demonstrated that you do not have to be a huge name brand to have a global market and be successful. Ultimately, my favorite company to visit was CBRE, so I wish to explore the real estate area more. Visiting this company expanded my views on real estate and all the various aspects that come with it. Having multiple American employees there for our visit showed that it is still possible to go global within the real estate industry. Performance Wolf Cub really does shine when it comes to performance, as the game shows that in order to be a fun online slots title it doesn't need to be intense across the board. Showcasing plenty of bight colours and an incredibly endearing soundtrack, the most attention–grabbing part of the design is the cute wolf cub located to the left of the screen. Considering his cute nature, we can certainly see NetEnt making use of this little guy in future games should Wolf Cub prove to be a success. We were a touch disappointed to see that the symbols in this game weren't particularly well animated – especially when a win occurs – but that's something that can be easily glossed over. By the end of the day, I knew all of them on a first name basis. Another section that portrays this theme of the power of poetry and why we should read poetry is the section in which Housman is talking about the fact that, when you get drunk, the world seems great and you are happy, but the happiness is temporary, but poetry helps you permanently. A third section that portrays this theme of the power of poetry and why we should read poetry is the section in which Terence is talking about King Mithridates, and that he built up an immunity to the world's poisons by eating little bits of the poison so when others tried to assassinate him, he was immune.
