Summary: This use-case describes the steps in applying for Barangay
Clearance.
Actors:
1. Applicant – applies for the Barangay Clearance.
2. Barangay Secretary – gives the application form to the applicant,
receives the requirements from the applicant; process the
verification of the application.
3. Barangay Chairman – signs the Barangay Clearance for approval.

Flow Of Events
Pre-Conditions:
1. Applicant must have the requirements before applying for the
barangay clearance (Valid ID, 1x1 ID picture, etc.)
2. Applicant must be a resident of the Barangay.
Main Success Scenario:
1. Applicant must go to the Barangay Hall where he/she lives.
2. Ask the Barangay Secretary for an application for Barangay
Clearance.
3. Barangay Secretary gives application form to applicant.
4. Applicant fills up the application form.
5. Applicant gives the form and other requirements to the Barangay
Secretary.
6. Barangay Secretary verifies the application against barangay
records and process the Barangay Clearance
7. Barangay Secretary presents the clearance to the Barangay
Chairman for signature.
8. Barangay Chairman signs the Clearance.
9. Applicant pays the application fee and receives the receipt.
10. Applicant receives the Barangay Clearance from Secretary.
11. Applicant leaves the Barangay Hall with Clearance.
12. Use-case ends successfully.
Alternative Sequence:
A8. Clearance is pending because the Barangay Chairman is absent.
1. Barangay Secretary will notify the Applicant that the
Chairman is absent.
2. Applicant will receive the Clearance the other day.
Error Sequence:
E6. Applicant is not a resident of the surrounding Barangay.
1. Barangay Secretary will not issue a Clearance to applicant.
2. Applicant must go to Barangay Hall that surrounds the area
where he/she is living.
Post-Conditions:
1. Barangay record is updated.
2. Receipt is printed and given to the applier.
3. Clearance is approved and given to the applier.
