Structure of Aircraft
• Sf-260d is all metal,
long-wing type
• Airframe consist of a
fuselage, two wing
panels
• Fuselage is semi-
monocoque
construction
• Forward section
incorporates the cockpit
enclosed by windshield
• Wind is provided with
ailerons and flaps and
accomodates the fuel
tanks.
• Tail structure consist of
a horizontal stabilizer,
an elevator, a vertical
fin and a rudder
• Landing gear is the
tricycle and retractable
type
Primary Flight Controls
Elevator
• Elevator provides
longitudinal control of
the aircraft and is
operated mechanically
by fore and after
movement of control
stick
• Elevator is located on
trailing edge of the
horizantal stabilizer
Rudder
• Rudder provides control
of the aircraft about the
vertical axis and is
controlled mechanically
by the dual rudder
pedals in the cockpit
• It is located on the
trailing edge of vertical
stabilizer
Aileron
• Ailerons provide lateral
control of the aircraft
and are operated
mechanically by left and
right movement of
control stick.
• They are located the
trailing edge of the
wings
