 To make a new ordering process work with
diversification the social expectations,
globalization, flexibility and consistency, and
organizational processes all play a role in
making things go smoothly.
 These processes have collapsed time and space
in organizational processes
 Different cultures and different people are
working in closer relation with one another
 Different cultures have different ways of doing
things – technology has helped people work
together more easily
 Started by denying that it has occurred.
 Next, tried to reduce its impact by trying to
homogenize (to blend) the “others”
 Then, accepting their presence – but
marginalized them
 Finally, they confronted it as a positive
development
 Social expectations limited the organizational
power of “other” employees
 Organizational processes also limit the upward
mobility of “other” employees
 Confronting the dominant perspective helped
to value “others”
 The dominant perspective began to respect
“others” way of acting and leading
 They also treated flexibility as more important
than consistency
 With a new ordering process it is important for
the individuals that work together to be a team
 With everyone on the same page and not
focused on their differences, then applying a
new ordering process with different cultures
would not be difficult.
