The document describes the steps taken to design elements for a magazine cover. 2. The first thing I done when
constructing my front cover was,
change the hue of the image, by
clicking on ‘fx’, which then gave me
the option to change the hue to black
and white. I then went on the eraser
tool, and used in on the guitar to
bring its colour back.

I also, created my masthead, by
selected a font, and then adding
effects on it. I choose the outer glow
effect as it makes the masthead look
more bold and stand out.

3. I used different texts for the texts above, to make
my magazine look more bold and eye catchy.
To make my magazine look realistic, I had to make
a barcode. I done this by going on
www.barcodegenerator.com, which allowed me
to make my barcode

4. I creating my banner and cover line, I had to select the shape icon, and
use it for the background of the text. The make the text stand out more,
and look professional as they use them in actual magazines. For the
cover line, I edited it further by selecting the ‘fx’ icon, and changing the
pattern of the shape, and making it what colour I wanted to, which
was a greyish colour. After, I had to go on ‘fx’ again but had to select
‘stroke’ which allowed me to give the circle an outline.

5. I created another cover line promoting a
competition within the magazine. Like the other
cover line, I created a shape as a background for
the text, then changed the gradient overlay. I
made it blue, so by changing the gradient
overlay It made the clue fuzzy and turnout in
different shades
