The document describes the steps taken by the author to create a contents page in Quark editing software. These steps include using shape, text, and picture tools to add a black rectangular shape for text, a purple banner, and imported images. The author then inserted text, added additional shapes filled with color, and continued including text and images to create their final contents page.
2. Within quark, I have learnt many skills enabling me to finish my final
product. The first thing I did for the creation of my contents page, is
make a black rectangular shape using the shape tool, adding text to it,
holding down shift and changing the size to ensure it fits.
3. I then added a purple banner (again using the shape tool) then
by using the picture tool, right clicked and imported my contents
picture image into quark (once cutting out in Photoshop, using
the magic lasso tool)
4. I then inserted my
text for my
contents page,
using the text tool.
I then added various other shapes, filling them in with the purples and
greys, using the colour tool on the right hand side. To do this, I simply
made the shape using the shape tool, and then left clicked onto the
colour needed, also adding other images using the picture tool.
5. I then continued adding text, and other various images necessary,
with also adding borders around my text and images, creating my
final product.
By the use of also, the line tool, I was able to draw lines when
needed, and also by a tool called gridlines, this showed me guides as
to where to place my images and text into the right place.
