Personal Statement Of The Problem
Statement of the Problem Introduction Imagine for a moment, awakening everyday and being told
by everyone around you, that you were born to fail– that you are nothing and that no matter what
you do or what you say, you will mess up. How may believing that you can not succeed at anything
impact your daily performance? Now in contrast, imagine awakening daily and being told by
everyone around you that you were born to thrive and to succeed– that you were born for an
amazing purpose, and that you can not only do anything you set your mind to, but that you can do it
better than anyone else. Imagine the impact these two opposing approaches would have on your life.

In this study, two basketball teams were analyzed, one of which was consistently encouraged by
their leader who demonstrated confidence in his team. In contrast, the other team's leader
consistently demonstrated lack of confidence in his team and undermined their abilities. From this it
was found that when individuals had a leader that believed in their abilities, that the individuals
within the team became confident in their own abilities, and consistently outperformed the other
team and were more successful in performance. This study can be directly compared to a study
published in 2002 in the North American Journal of Psychology. A psychologist by the name of Dr.
Lisa Smith sought to study if any correlation existed between an individual's confidence level and
their performance on exams. The individuals in this study were asked to rate themselves on a
numerical scale on multiple factors that collectively depicted an overall level of confidence. Not
only was a positive correlation found between confidence levels and performance levels, but
perhaps more interesting was that when this was analyzed more closely, there was no greater
knowledge base found between the two populations of students being studied. Thus, after additional
analysis it was deduced that the confident individuals had less anxiety in regards to test taking, and
thus outperformed the diffident individuals

Child Obesity : Problem Statement
To: Bill de Blasio Office Held: Mayor of New York City Issue: Child obesity Problem statement In
the United States, an increasing problem that Americans faces is obesity. According to (Centers for
Disease Control [CDC], 2015, the prevalence of Childhood Obesity during the years 2011 and 2012
are about to 17% of children ranging from ages 2–19 years old and the most common among ethnic
groups. The statistics listed in the CDC shows there is a major problem that children face. Recent
research have found that in the last four decades, amount of children that are overweight were
increase three folds. The reason why many children are becoming overweight and obese is because
the children are engaged in a more westernized style of eating which includes eating foods loaded
with fat and sugar while low in fiber (Siegler, DeLoache, Eisenberg, Saffran, & Leaper, 2014).
Children that are overweight or obese would be more likely to have trouble managing their weight
throughout their lives and run a higher risk of harmful decisions to manage their weight including
starvation, smoking, or surgery (Siegler et al., 2014). The amount of physical activity children
engage in is also a factor to take in account of. In this generation compared with previous
generation, children are not as physically active and outgoing and nearly 50 percent of preschoolers
go outside and play for less than an hour (Tandon, Zhou, & Christakis, 2012). Inactive children who

Kudler will expand in to locations where they will be successful. Kudler will also have an effective
and efficient model for future expansion and growth.
Conclusion
The goal of Kudler Fine Foods is expansion and growth while increasing profit and the current book
of business. By doing the extra research and implementing a risk management program before
opening a new location will increase the success of all three current locations and ensure the success
of any future locations. It will also help Kudler organize and develop other facets of the business
like the website. A little extra work goes along way and with the risk management plan in place and
a new location market analysis model being used Kudler Fine Foods should be able to grow and
meet all the organizations goals.

without happening really. This is distinguishable from dreams as dreams are something that occur
when we are in sleep. But during hallucinations, we are perfectly awake. It is a kind of illusion that
has been created which forces the brain to believe something even if it hasn't happened at all.
Hallucinations can occur in any sensory modality visual, auditory, olfactory, tactile etc. People who
are suffering from Hallucination see, smell, perceive, hear, feel some things which don't even exist.

Alternative Solution/Analysis of Alternative Solutions Productive organizations will always have
alternative solutions that will allow the organization to accomplish their goals while meeting
stakeholder expectations. USA World Bank would not only meet the organizations expectations with
their alternative solutions, but also increase profits and gain market share. Introducing two new
products: one to the customers (Instant Rewards Credit Card) and to small business owners (Small
Business Credit Card) was rated a 5 because it would show that the organization is not only
interested in customers but in small business opportunities as well. This would allow the small
business clients to feel appreciated knowing that they may not be the bulk of the organization
business but a part of the organizations growth and that they add to the organizations probable
success. This would also allow the organization to show that they can accommodate both individual
customers and small business organizations by providing them with the best customer service and

Continued moves to offshore locations are causing many consumers to look twice at companies that
use this tactic for an increased market share (Stones, 2003). The final issue identified is the
possibility of litigation by the Union officials.
Opportunity Identification There are many opportunities for Global Communications in moving
forward with its plan of action. The first opportunity is the possibility of increased technical
sophistication by partnering with a satellite provider to offer video services and a satellite version of
Broadband. This in turn will allow GC the opportunity to increased market share. By providing the
consumer with a more diverse product to choose from, GC will be able to gain a competitive edge in
the market and garner new customers in the process. Another opportunity found is the chance to cut
unit cost by outsourcing the call center to India or Ireland. This move will allow GC the chance to
become a key player in the global arena. It will also provide GC with a labor force that is technically
advanced to meet the needs of a growing market at a lower price (Rossheim, 2006). The
combination of all of these opportunities will provide GC with the much needed profitability
capabilities to sustain its operations for the next three years as well as produce a higher yield for
stockholders.

Problem Statement On Depression
Problem Statement
Research indicates that depression can be associated with both cognitive impairment and dementia,
and that depression increases the risk of developing dementia (Steffens et al, 2006). It is not always
easy to diagnose depression in a person with Alzheimer's disease, as Alzheimer's itself may mimic
the signs of depression. Although depression may be a risk factor for dementia, its presence is also
an early presenting symptom, rather than its cause (WHO Library Cataloguing, 2006). There is a
greater prevalence of depression with people who have vascular and mixed types of dementia as
opposed to the Alzheimer's type. (Newman, S.C, 1999, & Muliyala, K.P & Varghese, M. (2010).
There is a link between self–reporting of mood with the evaluation of mood in people with different
levels of cognition. Variability in self–reported mood may be an early sign of dementia. There is a
link between cognitive decline and associated mood distress.

The Statement Of The Problem
Introduction The Statement of the Problem Many modern Christians sincerely desire to not only
understand spiritual gifts, but also aspire to see the Spirit of God work through them in their
churches and around the world. The problem, however, is that they are often bombarded with the
next book, sermon, or class challenging them to know and use their spiritual gifts. For many,
however, this has been a source of much frustration and angst, and for others it has resulted in pride
and deception. The question that must be asked, which identifies the problem this paper will seek to
address is: "Are spiritual gifts, as they are currently perceived, in line with what the New Testament
writers intended them to be?" In order for the modern Christian to understand spiritual gifts and use
them in such a way that God's intention of putting himself on display through the church is
accomplished, the nature, purpose, and limitation of the gifts must be ascertained, using the writings
to the infant church as found in the New Testament as the model. The Importance of the Study The
importance of this study is both a biblical and personal one. First, in what should be a place of unity
and love, discussions in regards to the gifts often devolve into debate due to the modern dispute
surrounding continuationism and cessasationism. It is a topic that Paul addresses in Corinth with an
apostolic call of a father for unity instead of division. While the church wrestles through this

EMTALA Problem Statement
This problem statement was based on observation and discussions with the ED management team
within the primary investigator's (PI) place of employment at a facility in the mid–southern United
States. The acuity levels of patients at this facility were assigned by ED nurses having no formal
education or training in Emergency Severity Index Algorithm. These nurses were noted to
consistently over–triage and or under–triage patients. Consequently, patients were being assigned
inaccurately, slowing down efficiency, frustrating providers, and tying up resources, rooms and
nurses. Second, the ED also lacks a formal program for educating staff nurses on the appropriate use
of the ESI 5–level triage acuity system. The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) recommends
that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this country patients cannot be turned away from receiving treatment due to legislation
implemented by Congress in 1986 known as The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor
Act (EMTALA). EMTALA is a non–discrimination statute which states "no patient who presents
with an emergency medical condition, actual or perceived, and who is unable to pay may be treated
differently than patients who are covered by health insurance" (CMS.gov, 2013, p. 1). The statute
prevents hospitals from rejecting patients, refusing to treat them, or transferring them to charity
hospitals or county hospitals because they are uninsured or unable to pay for services. The ED
provides care to uninsured patients (guaranteed through EMTALA) and for which it is never
reimbursed (CMS.gov, 2013). Patients improperly assigned acuity levels tie up resources, lengthens
the time in the ED, and increases unreimbursed costs to the emergency department. Inaccurate triage
acuity levels can be costly (Gilboy et al., 2011; Bitterman, 2009). Providing the correct initial triage
acuity levels decreases wait times and deterioration of a patient's condition and, therefore, decreases

Introduction And Statement Of The Problem
Introduction and Statement of the Problem
Rejection. Death. Hatred. These are the consequences lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender
adolescent individuals face as members who are a part of parentally unaccepted families. In
America, approximately 3.4% of adolescent individuals identify as homosexual. The breakdown of
this population included 1.6% who identify as gay or straight, 0.7% who identify as bisexual, and
1.1% who don't identify within those standards (Ward, Dahlhamer, Galinsky & Jostli, 2014, 1).
Compared to the 96.6% of the American population who identify as heterosexual, these statistics
seem insignificant. However, the sexual identity of adolescents has an important impact on their
overall interpersonal and family relationships. For a long time, there was minimal support of
homosexual marriage within the United States. However, a little under two years ago, the Supreme
Court declared LGBT individuals the right to wed. This transformation has lead to a modification of
the typical marriage standards, which includes a man and a woman. Over the years, the most recent
generations have become more accepted of homosexuality, due to the commonality of homosexuals.
However, members of older generations typically seem to be stricter about their beliefs on marriage
and relationships. Adolescents and their peers typically view same–sex interactions as a personal
preference, to each his own. Their parents are often less welcoming of homosexuality, because when

Problem Statement For PSU Bank

importance of customer insight, to grow further. A good CRM strategy is a key factor to differentiate
with competitors and create good branding among customer base. Any Bank that cannot leverage
CRM, have failed to improve revenue and customer satisfaction.
Problem statement of PSU bank:
A poorly managed CRM causes following issues in public sector bank
Generic Treatment: Customer facing bank employees get generic details from system for customers.
Therefore, bank employees could not understand customers' need. This leads to very generic
treatment, irrespective of profile and lifetime value.

Also, results in erosion of customer base.
Unable to retain valuable customer: Bank's failure to understand customer's value and to provide
differential treatment may cause customer churn out. By the time customer apply for closure of
account/service, its already too late for bank to offer any viable retention offer to the dissatisfied
customer. These dissatisfied customer groups further spread negativity about bank among their
social network.
Lower Cross Sell, Up Sell opportunity: It is always better and easier to generate revenue from
existing satisfied customer base instead of creating new customer base for every new product. For
example: A customer opting for Home Loan will have higher propensity to buy Home Insurance.
Since Bank is not aware of current need of customer base, Banks fails to provide better
product/service offering.
Risk Management: Without understanding customer profile and background, bank fails to assess
risk/benefit of offering product/service to customers. This leads to non–performing assets without
proper recovery plan.

Problem Statement For Anti Server Software
III. PROBLEM STATEMENT
Most of the existing commercial anti–virus applications are based on the signature analysis. They
will do the matching of extracted signature of an application with the already available signatures in
the database. The problem with such applications is that they are vulnerable to zero–day exploits as
nowadays the malware writers are capable of creating a new signature by their own to bypass the
anti–virus software. Furthermore, they can encrypt or obfuscate the malicious code to make the
signature analysis more difficult. There is a security check done by the play store to stop the
uploading of malicious applications into it. But the truth is that there are a lot of malicious
applications available in play store ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The expected minimum success rate for the system is above 90%.
VI. RELATED WORK
Most of the existing techniques are based on the signature analysis and this, in turn, is based on the
signatures stored in the database of an anti–virus application. The antivirus software will do a
comparison of the new extracted signature with the existing signature in the database. If a match
found, it will consider it as a malicious application. This makes it vulnerable to zero–day exploits as
it is not a tough job for malware writers to create a new signature to bypass the existing technique.
Apart from creating a new signature, the malware writers can also modify the signatures during the
runtime.
The truth is that there are a lot of malicious apps in the Play store even after performing a security
check before uploading any application to it. This increases the need for an application which can
find the maliciousness of another application. This application should be able to monitor the
targeted application continuously. The system will be working on the basis of a machine learning
algorithm and it should be able to identify the patterns in the program properties in order to carry
out the operation. The main aim is to achieve a system with a success rate of at least 90%.

As the technology is opening so many new methods for the attackers, we also need to utilize the

Faculty development is a crucial factor in the educational quality improving. In Thailand, the
educational quality is regulated by the office for national education standard and quality assessment

maintenance and its importance to a manufacturing or production environment. This goes on to look

Description Of Issue And Problem Statement
DESCRIPTION OF ISSUE / PROBLEM STATEMENT
1. Current International Law permits a limited response to what is defined as "use of force" from
Article 2(4) of the UN charter as an "act of war" for cyber–attacks that involve damage or death that
would be similar in nature to a kinetic attack. The problem that arises is when a cyber–attack is
considered an unlawful use of force.1 and what that means for when the victim state can respond
and to what level are they allowed under international law. As cyberattacks continue to change and
increase in nature the US government needs a coordinated and well thought out approach that is able
to deter future cyber–attacks that are considered an act of war and setting precedence. The US state
department took an active stance on this in 2012 where Mr.Koh as Department of State Legal
Advisor laid out what it considers to be a use of force, " Cyber activities that proximately result in
death, injury, or significant destruction would likely be viewed as a use of force". The issue that
arises is how to respond, and when to respond. Interpol can take from 3 to 6 months to pass a
request over to local police agencies for following up. This timeline plus the time for attribution
leaves a gap for attackers to cover their tracks. Additionally the US needs to develop a policy that
follows Mr.Koh's position by giving clarity to certain markers that can be used in determining what
is considered a use of force, as an example the difference

Problem Statement In An Investigation
The meaning of problem statement in an investigation varies according to different sources. Bryman
(2007) states that a problem statement is a clear statement about the topic of interest, a condition
that can be improved, an obstacle to be removed, or a problematic theoretical question that is
present in scholarly literature. It may also be present in existing fields that has a need for more
comprehensive understanding and research. A problem statement does not state the method of doing
something, offer generalised proposition, or provide a value question. It serves several purposes, the
first is introducing the reader to the importance of the topic being researched on. Secondly, it
ensures that the topic is placed into a particular or narrowed context that defines the parameters of
the research topic. Thirdly, it serves to provide a framework for the researcher to report the result
and shows the probable requirements needed to conduct the study and provide explanation on how

clinical social sciences or behavioural sciences as an approach to define the problem. Thirdly,
Descriptive research problem attempts to describe the significance of a situation, state or existence

The risk of having such a small management team is considered a weakness in KFF's 2003 strategic
plan (Kudler 2003). If Kathy were to take any extended time off or become ill no one is cross
trained to reorder specific products or deal with major business issues. For these reasons Kathy
routinely works seven days a week and visits each store almost daily. Kathy enjoys visiting each
location as it allows her to interact with staff each week. However, if the company proceeds with it
growth plans as outlined in the Kudler Fine Foods 2003 Strategic Plan, operational changes within
the management structure will be necessary. Kudler Fine Foods will solve for the business risks of
having a small management team by creating an efficient management team for the future.
The growth of Kudler Fine Foods organization has put the business in position where it is now time
to invest in human capital positions in order to increase the efficiencies in the overall operation. This
can be done by creating a new management structure. An expanded management team will ensure
stability in the operational oversight of KFF and guarantee the company's ongoing success. As the
owner of KFF, Kathy Kudler will remain the ultimate decision maker to ensure the end vision is
realized. In order to succeed, Kathy will need to create new departments and hire managers for two

Problem Statement On Abortion
Background:
Abortion is the process of terminating a human pregnancy; normally it is performed during the first
28 weeks of pregnancy.
I am a Christian and I define my belief as 'Anti–Abortion, but Pro–Choice. 'I am against the
principle of taking away life's of innocent once.
Problem statement:
Abortion is an illness in the community yet the community still sees it as acceptable. Why is it seen
as illness in the society yet still accepted by many?
Hypothesis:
How Christianity does views abortion?
The bible clearly disagrees with the act of taking the lives of innocent persons. In the times when
Moses was leading the Isabel's God gave him laws for specified penalties for different unlawful act.
In Exodus 21:22–25, the penalty for causing the passing of a coming child was "life for life". This
means that, God saw killing a kid in the womb as murder. Woman who committed this unlawful act
were suspended to death. We all know that unlawful act always lead us to punishment and this was
the punishment given to a woman who have caused the death of the unborn child .Punishment was
used as to discourage this type of behavior to occur for to occur again.
God never agreed with principle of abortion. According to the book of Exodus 20:13, it is when God
gave Moses Ten Commandments, one of the commandments is a person shall not commit murder.

The Problem Statement Of The Scope Of Work
SCOPE OF WORK
The Scope of Work (SOW) is the area in an agreement where the work to be performed is described.
The SOW should contain any milestones, reports, deliverables, and end products that are expected
to be provided by the performing party. The SOW should also contain a time line for all
deliverables. The problem with most Scopes of Work is a lack of specificity. The best way to avoid
this problem is to avoid any and all ambiguity.
A Scope of Work consists of the following components:
1. Glossary
2. Problem Statement
3. Goals and Objectives
1. GLOSSARY
SOW stands for Scope of Work. Scope means an area in which something acts or operates or has
power or control. Whereas, work means activity directed toward making or doing something. This
together makes Scope Of Work which means The division of work to be performed under a contract
or subcontract in the completion of a project, typically broken out into specific tasks with deadlines.
It clearly documents the project requirements, milestones, deliverables, end products, documents
and reports that are expected to be provided by the vendor. It is necessary to include glossary

FEASIBILITY STUDY
Feasibility reports describe one or more design solutions to a specific problem and determine if the
proposed solution is practical and feasible. Preferably, more than one solution is offered, in which
case the report compares the various designs and determines which option is best. Design and
feasibility reports are essentially the same type of document, differing only in the amount of
emphasis placed on practical and economic viability of the design in comparison with other possible
solutions. A design report, often very similar to an internal proposal, focuses on describing one
specific implementation. A feasibility study, on the other hand, also emphasizes the investigation
and comparison of alternative solutions. Design reports and feasibility reports are crucial for
decision making and product development in almost any technical organization. They document an
engineer's thinking through a solution to a problem, a description of the solution, and the reasons
why that solution should be implemented. Managers need accurate and comprehensive feasibility
and design reports to decide where to commit scarce resources. In addition, an accurate and
comprehensive design report helps in developing other documents, such as formal proposals,
specifications, and work plans.

Problem Statement On Service Failure
1.4 Problem Statement
Service failure is a common phrase in organization that provides services to customers such as
hospitals, hotels, and airlines. Previous studies have focused on the. Unquestionably, airline mishap
or disaster are the more serious sides of service failure, which can occur mainly as a result of human
error, system failure, or other external situations (Wen & Chi, 2013). Service failures in airlines such
as flight delays are inevitable; however, with a trend towards minimizing the cost and minimal frills
in the industry, many airlines no longer provide any hospitality when flights are delayed (De
Coverly et al., 2002). Such service failure, which has not been addressed effectively by the airline

Consumer reaction to service failure can be explained using this theory (Maxham & Netemeyer,
2002). Stability refers to the extent to which a cause is viewed as temporary (expected to vary over
time) or permanent (expected to persist over time). Controllability refers to the degree to which a
focal party perceives a cause to be volitional or non–volitional. Therefore, researchers argued that
when the cause is temporary and uncontrollable, the attitude of consumer will not change and it
rather to be positive. However, when the cause is permanent and controllable, the attitude will be
affected negatively. Studies focused on the direct effect of the element of causal attribution theory
and few only focused on the airline industry (Kin and Cho, 2013; Vázquez–Casielles et al., 2007;
Nikbin et al., 2014). Moderating effect of the element was investigated in few studies. Thus, this
study aims to contribute to the airline context in this

Problem Statement Versus Needs Assesment
Problem Statement versus Needs Assesment
The determination of whether you write a problem statement or a needs assessment may hinge more
on the funder's priorities than your own passion for the project. Either way, the same information
will be stated either as a reduction of what is currently a problem or an enhancement of a need to be
added to a current situation.
For example, let's look at a fictitious rural community facing a particular environmental situation.
The federal public land manager in charge of a watershed surrounding the small, rural community of
Cottonwood Creek brings a partnership of local stakeholders together worried about the namesake
stream that flowed through their town of 4,000 people. The meeting includes ... Show more content

While this is an outline, it represents the beginning explanation of the problem, something not
desired, and how the set of circumstances stated in the definition of the current status (Part D)
theoretically or logically is not desirable (Part P) as general proof that such circumstances are not
good in any location they are found. Then the way that theoretical explanation of the problem is
actually happening in Cottonwood Creek is narrated as the current story in Part E. Coming back to
the situation in general, Part R states the bad result if nothing is done to correct the problem to
eliminate the cause leading to the effect.

This same group of folk concerned about the creek might approach the situation as a need for better
environmental stewardship beyond what is currently in place. The same conditions might exist, but
the focus is on what is lacking in the equation that, in turn, brought about the current status of the

Collectively, they might talk about the situation as a need to prevent further degradation of the
banks right in town, pollution both upstream from agricultural activity and in town storm drain
design. The unrestricted access require some education to instill a missing element of environmental
stewardship that is threatening fishing, including the endangered species of trout. Even in this
approach, the discussion would have to include evidence that a need for action to improve the

Problem Statement:. Landslides Impact Thousands Of People
PROBLEM STATEMENT:
Landslides impact thousands of people and damage billions of dollars of infrastructure each year.
Mitigation can be difficult and expensive when detailed risk and hazard maps are not available to
local planners. For over 50yrs, the coastal population of Southern California has been increasing
steadily and drastically. The rate of anthropogenic activities (construction of roads and other hillside
utilities) under the banner of development has followed population growth resulting in the
emergence of huge amounts of residential settlements at the base or on the unstable slopes of the
Southern Coastline (Zell and Lurie, 2002). These landslides have evolved into to hazards over the
past two hundred years as a result of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the Californian Southern Coastline, residents often settled in areas known as debris cones, which
are areas where steep mountain streams debouched onto the valley floor (Rice, 1985). These areas
are attractive because of the availability of abundant water supply, but pose a grave risk of
landslides, particularly following increasing population growth.
One major problem in landslide hazard analysis and mapping is the inconsistent availability of
hazard information. Identifying areas susceptible to landslides, acquiring knowledge of the
probability of landslide occurrence and quantification of hazard exposure, are critical requisite to
gaining some control over a landslide hazard's magnitude of destruction. The United States
Geological Survey (USGS) has led the way in publishing landslide information (Olshansky, 2006).
However, its efforts are limited because of the already insufficient funding it receives, which has
been further reduced in recent years. In California, the legislature approved the Landslide Hazard
Identification Program; it produced several maps that helped local planners with landslide planning
(Olshansky & Rogers, 1987). Unfortunately, the California program was replaced in the 1990s by
the Seismic Hazard Mapping Act, which has failed to provide sufficient detail for quality planning
because it produces map models of large regions which are usually of low scale resolution. While
the USGS now believes it has established a new means of

Problem Statement On Poverty In Mexico
Problem:
Poverty is a problem that has been going on in many places of the entire world. One country that is
also trying to fight poverty is Mexico. This is due to many reasons.According to CHOICE
Humanitarian the problem lies with the redistribution of its wealth. Their history from fighting
poverty has gone to 45% of the population living below the poverty line and more than 10% in
extreme poverty, making less than $1.25 per day. By the 1950's 65% of the population were in
extreme poverty then the number went down to 20–25% from the 1960s to 1995. This was starting
to get a better change but then by 1980's the number of Mexicans living below the poverty line
increased. This kept on following after the 1995 crisis which brought 33% of the population under
the extreme poverty line which the author states.
Problem Statement:
Many Where did poverty come from? Why is Mexico one of the countries fighting poverty? What
causes still makes poverty present to this date in Mexico? What solutions have come across to try
and solve this?It has an estimate of 44 million people that live in poverty, which is almost half of the
population. Out of the 44 million that live in extreme poverty those people make less than $1.90 a
day(US–dollars).Looking at this, working services would be one of the factors causing this
problem. Not many people have jobs because not many are available.

Personal Statement Of The Problem

  • 1. Personal Statement Of The Problem Statement of the Problem Introduction Imagine for a moment, awakening everyday and being told by everyone around you, that you were born to fail– that you are nothing and that no matter what you do or what you say, you will mess up. How may believing that you can not succeed at anything impact your daily performance? Now in contrast, imagine awakening daily and being told by everyone around you that you were born to thrive and to succeed– that you were born for an amazing purpose, and that you can not only do anything you set your mind to, but that you can do it better than anyone else. Imagine the impact these two opposing approaches would have on your life. According to Merriam Webster's Dictionary (2003), confidence is defined as, "a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this study, two basketball teams were analyzed, one of which was consistently encouraged by their leader who demonstrated confidence in his team. In contrast, the other team's leader consistently demonstrated lack of confidence in his team and undermined their abilities. From this it was found that when individuals had a leader that believed in their abilities, that the individuals within the team became confident in their own abilities, and consistently outperformed the other team and were more successful in performance. This study can be directly compared to a study published in 2002 in the North American Journal of Psychology. A psychologist by the name of Dr. Lisa Smith sought to study if any correlation existed between an individual's confidence level and their performance on exams. The individuals in this study were asked to rate themselves on a numerical scale on multiple factors that collectively depicted an overall level of confidence. Not only was a positive correlation found between confidence levels and performance levels, but perhaps more interesting was that when this was analyzed more closely, there was no greater knowledge base found between the two populations of students being studied. Thus, after additional analysis it was deduced that the confident individuals had less anxiety in regards to test taking, and thus outperformed the diffident individuals ... According to (Centers for Disease Control [CDC], 2015, the prevalence of Childhood Obesity during the years 2011 and 2012 are about to 17% of children ranging from ages 2–19 years old and the most common among ethnic groups. The statistics listed in the CDC shows there is a major problem that children face. Recent research have found that in the last four decades, amount of children that are overweight were increase three folds. The reason why many children are becoming overweight and obese is because the children are engaged in a more westernized style of eating which includes eating foods loaded with fat and sugar while low in fiber (Siegler, DeLoache, Eisenberg, Saffran, & Leaper, 2014). Children that are overweight or obese would be more likely to have trouble managing their weight throughout their lives and run a higher risk of harmful decisions to manage their weight including starvation, smoking, or surgery (Siegler et al., 2014). The amount of physical activity children engage in is also a factor to take in account of. In this generation compared with previous generation, children are not as physically active and outgoing and nearly 50 percent of preschoolers go outside and play for less than an hour (Tandon, Zhou, & Christakis, 2012). • 7. Problem Statement On Depression Problem Statement Research indicates that depression can be associated with both cognitive impairment and dementia, and that depression increases the risk of developing dementia (Steffens et al, 2006). It is not always easy to diagnose depression in a person with Alzheimer's disease, as Alzheimer's itself may mimic the signs of depression. Although depression may be a risk factor for dementia, its presence is also an early presenting symptom, rather than its cause (WHO Library Cataloguing, 2006). There is a greater prevalence of depression with people who have vascular and mixed types of dementia as opposed to the Alzheimer's type. (Newman, S.C, 1999, & Muliyala, K.P & Varghese, M. (2010). • 10. The Statement Of The Problem Introduction The Statement of the Problem Many modern Christians sincerely desire to not only understand spiritual gifts, but also aspire to see the Spirit of God work through them in their churches and around the world. The problem, however, is that they are often bombarded with the next book, sermon, or class challenging them to know and use their spiritual gifts. For many, however, this has been a source of much frustration and angst, and for others it has resulted in pride and deception. The question that must be asked, which identifies the problem this paper will seek to address is: "Are spiritual gifts, as they are currently perceived, in line with what the New Testament writers intended them to be?" In order for the modern Christian to understand spiritual gifts and use them in such a way that God's intention of putting himself on display through the church is accomplished, the nature, purpose, and limitation of the gifts must be ascertained, using the writings to the infant church as found in the New Testament as the model. The Importance of the Study The importance of this study is both a biblical and personal one. First, in what should be a place of unity and love, discussions in regards to the gifts often devolve into debate due to the modern dispute surrounding continuationism and cessasationism. It is a topic that Paul addresses in Corinth with an apostolic call of a father for unity instead of division. While the church wrestles through this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

EMTALA Problem Statement This problem statement was based on observation and discussions with the ED management team within the primary investigator's (PI) place of employment at a facility in the mid–southern United States. The acuity levels of patients at this facility were assigned by ED nurses having no formal education or training in Emergency Severity Index Algorithm. These nurses were noted to consistently over–triage and or under–triage patients. Consequently, patients were being assigned inaccurately, slowing down efficiency, frustrating providers, and tying up resources, rooms and nurses. Second, the ED also lacks a formal program for educating staff nurses on the appropriate use of the ESI 5–level triage acuity system. The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) recommends that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this country patients cannot be turned away from receiving treatment due to legislation implemented by Congress in 1986 known as The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA). EMTALA is a non–discrimination statute which states "no patient who presents with an emergency medical condition, actual or perceived, and who is unable to pay may be treated differently than patients who are covered by health insurance" (CMS.gov, 2013, p. 1). The statute prevents hospitals from rejecting patients, refusing to treat them, or transferring them to charity hospitals or county hospitals because they are uninsured or unable to pay for services. The ED provides care to uninsured patients (guaranteed through EMTALA) and for which it is never reimbursed (CMS.gov, 2013). Patients improperly assigned acuity levels tie up resources, lengthens the time in the ED, and increases unreimbursed costs to the emergency department. The breakdown of this population included 1.6% who identify as gay or straight, 0.7% who identify as bisexual, and 1.1% who don't identify within those standards (Ward, Dahlhamer, Galinsky & Jostli, 2014, 1). Compared to the 96.6% of the American population who identify as heterosexual, these statistics seem insignificant. However, the sexual identity of adolescents has an important impact on their overall interpersonal and family relationships. For a long time, there was minimal support of homosexual marriage within the United States. However, a little under two years ago, the Supreme Court declared LGBT individuals the right to wed. This transformation has lead to a modification of the typical marriage standards, which includes a man and a woman. Over the years, the most recent generations have become more accepted of homosexuality, due to the commonality of homosexuals. However, members of older generations typically seem to be stricter about their beliefs on marriage and relationships. Adolescents and their peers typically view same–sex interactions as a personal preference, to each his own. Their parents are often less welcoming of homosexuality, because when they were ... They will do the matching of extracted signature of an application with the already available signatures in the database. The problem with such applications is that they are vulnerable to zero–day exploits as nowadays the malware writers are capable of creating a new signature by their own to bypass the anti–virus software. Furthermore, they can encrypt or obfuscate the malicious code to make the signature analysis more difficult. There is a security check done by the play store to stop the uploading of malicious applications into it. But the truth is that there are a lot of malicious applications available in play store ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The expected minimum success rate for the system is above 90%. VI. RELATED WORK Most of the existing techniques are based on the signature analysis and this, in turn, is based on the signatures stored in the database of an anti–virus application. The antivirus software will do a comparison of the new extracted signature with the existing signature in the database. If a match found, it will consider it as a malicious application. This makes it vulnerable to zero–day exploits as it is not a tough job for malware writers to create a new signature to bypass the existing technique. Apart from creating a new signature, the malware writers can also modify the signatures during the runtime. The truth is that there are a lot of malicious apps in the Play store even after performing a security check before uploading any application to it. This increases the need for an application which can find the maliciousness of another application. This application should be able to monitor the targeted application continuously. The system will be working on the basis of a machine learning algorithm and it should be able to identify the patterns in the program properties in order to carry out the operation. The main aim is to achieve a system with a success rate of at least 90%. VII. Current International Law permits a limited response to what is defined as "use of force" from Article 2(4) of the UN charter as an "act of war" for cyber–attacks that involve damage or death that would be similar in nature to a kinetic attack. The problem that arises is when a cyber–attack is considered an unlawful use of force.1 and what that means for when the victim state can respond and to what level are they allowed under international law. As cyberattacks continue to change and increase in nature the US government needs a coordinated and well thought out approach that is able to deter future cyber–attacks that are considered an act of war and setting precedence. The US state department took an active stance on this in 2012 where Mr.Koh as Department of State Legal Advisor laid out what it considers to be a use of force, " Cyber activities that proximately result in death, injury, or significant destruction would likely be viewed as a use of force". The issue that arises is how to respond, and when to respond. Interpol can take from 3 to 6 months to pass a request over to local police agencies for following up. This timeline plus the time for attribution leaves a gap for attackers to cover their tracks. Additionally the US needs to develop a policy that follows Mr.Koh's position by giving clarity to certain markers that can be used in determining what is considered a use of force, as an example the difference ... The rate of anthropogenic activities (construction of roads and other hillside utilities) under the banner of development has followed population growth resulting in the emergence of huge amounts of residential settlements at the base or on the unstable slopes of the Southern Coastline (Zell and Lurie, 2002). These landslides have evolved into to hazards over the past two hundred years as a result of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the Californian Southern Coastline, residents often settled in areas known as debris cones, which are areas where steep mountain streams debouched onto the valley floor (Rice, 1985). These areas are attractive because of the availability of abundant water supply, but pose a grave risk of landslides, particularly following increasing population growth. One major problem in landslide hazard analysis and mapping is the inconsistent availability of hazard information. Identifying areas susceptible to landslides, acquiring knowledge of the probability of landslide occurrence and quantification of hazard exposure, are critical requisite to gaining some control over a landslide hazard's magnitude of destruction. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has led the way in publishing landslide information (Olshansky, 2006). However, its efforts are limited because of the already insufficient funding it receives, which has been further reduced in recent years. In California, the legislature approved the Landslide Hazard Identification Program; it produced several maps that helped local planners with landslide planning (Olshansky & Rogers, 1987). Unfortunately, the California program was replaced in the 1990s by the Seismic Hazard Mapping Act, which has failed to provide sufficient detail for quality planning because it produces map models of large regions which are usually of low scale resolution. While the USGS now believes it has established a new means of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This was starting to get a better change but then by 1980's the number of Mexicans living below the poverty line increased. This kept on following after the 1995 crisis which brought 33% of the population under the extreme poverty line which the author states. Problem Statement: Many Where did poverty come from? Why is Mexico one of the countries fighting poverty? What causes still makes poverty present to this date in Mexico? What solutions have come across to try and solve this?It has an estimate of 44 million people that live in poverty, which is almost half of the population.
