ShortFilm Costumes and Props:
Props:
No props are required for scenes 1 and 5.
Scene 2: Jade and Olly are both required to have a mobile phone each and all characters in
this scene need to have a school/work bag.
Scene 3: Jade requires a pen and paper in order to write a letter. Scrunched paper should
also be scattered across the desk. An envelope is later needed, which should be addressed
to Mum. Jade also requires a phone for the end of the scene.
Scene 4: Jade again requires the use of a mobile phone, which should be the same as in
scene 3 in order to create continuity.
Scene 6: Olly requires a second letter addressed to Jade from her mum that Jade should
open and read during the scene. This letter needs to be clearly distinguished so the
audience do not get confused with the other letter used earlier in the film. The first letter
should also feature, and should still be placed on the classroom desk. The clock should also
be clearly visible in the classroom.
Costumes:
The costumes should not change throughout the film as the events should all take place on
one day.
Jade, Olly and Cara: They should be dressed appropriately for sixth form but should not
dress too formally.
Carol: Should look appropriate to teach classes of teenagers – formal clothing.
Head Teacher:This character should be wearing formal clothing due to their profession,
including a shirt and tie and smart trousers.
In scenes 1, 2, 4 and 6, characters may wear a coat or jacket that is suitable for the
character in order to keep warm during cold weather.
