and intrigue the listener.
Shocking facts are quite often used to interest the audience to
potentially watch the documentary after listening to the trailer. Also
the use of facts will show a thoroughly researched product, which is
the effect I am going for.
3. VOICEOVER
Voiceover play a very important in almost all
radio trailers as it guides the listeners through what
is being portrayed. It sets the mood for the
trailer, can help the audience understand it better
and it gives a professional.
4. MUSIC
In all radio trailers there is background music that
sets the scene. It should be appropriate and should
relate with the topic of the documentary, ideally it
should be instrumental.
5. OTHER
Another code for documentary radio trailers is
the use of extracts from the actual documentary.
Extracts such as part of an interview, a fact or a
figure.
