I am an experienced geotechnical engineer of site investigation, management and
surveying works of road projects with a proven track record of involvement in diverse
civil projects. I have more than 13 years’ experience in Civil Engineering works of site
and laboratory works.
Currently, I am PhD student in Cardiff University fourth year, my project is Biological
stabilization of granular soil. I have started in January 2014.

Now and last candidate
I am a PhD student in Cardiff University (year 4), I started in January 2014. Originally,
I am an academic assistance Lecturer in Civil Engineering College / Karbala
University / Iraq. I was teaching Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering tutorial.
In addition, all soil engineering experiments in soil laboratory are conducted by my
full responsibility. Furthermore, I was working as Geotechnical Consultant such as
soil improvement, foundations design, settlement calculations in old buildings, soil
investigation using GAEA WinLog and WinFince software, surveying works by using
TotalStation and road geometry design by using Auto Desk Land in Consultant Office
of Karbala University.
o From 1/6/2008 to 20/3/2009
I worked in Arab Company for Studies & Soil Testing (Jordanian company in Yemen)
as a geotechnical Manager in office and sites. My duty was supervision of all field
and laboratory works that included supervision and reporting of execution of
boreholes and trial pits. My responsibilities were:
Direct supervising on the site investigation work project “Boreholes, trail Pits
and other field test which were executed”.
Preparing daily, weekly and semimonthly Reports.
Planning and calculating time schedule for all projects using M.S. Project.
Supervising all laboratory test of soil and other construction materials.
Preparing draft and final test reports for field and laboratory.
Preparing suggested drawing and details for all project items.

I worked in Yemeni Chinese Construction Engineering Co. Lted. “Yemeni
nationality". My candidate was a Planning and Tracking Manager for company's
construction projects. The company has several building projects such as Yemeni
Commercial Bank, Khawlan Mosque 1100 prayers and main Compound Buildings of
the company. My duties were:
Preparing monthly reports and get the percentage of works progresses by using
computer programs M.S. Project and Excel.
Organizing management letters to consultant team.
Making suggested work drawings for different project items.
Preparing shopping drawings and then as built drawings for executed project works.
Preparing certificate payments for achieved project works.
The executed project work quantities were calculated and controlled by using
computer packages programs to get percent of progress works.

I worked in Mutahar Mukhtar Est. for Contractions (Yemeni company) which was
jointed venture with Chaussee Construction (Iranian company). My candidate was a
Site and Material Engineer in Al-Khadra Beni Shaddad Road (26 km). The project was
financed by World Bank / Transport and Urban Development Department "TUDTR ".
It was executed by “RAPCMO”.
I also worked as a Project Manager from 1/5/2005 fin the same project “ Al-Khadra
Beni Shaddad Road (26 km)” until project finished, and then I continued as Project
Manager in Subahah – Haddah Road Project (5.175 km) in Sana'a. This project
belongs to Ministry of Public Works and Highways / General Corporation for Roads
and Bridges. My duties were:
Supervision of soils and construction materials laboratory and field tests such as
compressive strength of concrete cubes, sieve analysis, proctor, field density,
Atterberge limits, and most soil tests.
Preparing reports and letters among us, consultant team and “RAPCMO”.
Preparing suggested work drawings for different project items.
Prepare shop drawings for different project works.
As built drawings are doing for achieved works.

I worked in Al-Bawaba Computer Center, Iraq / Baghdad as a Designer and
Maintenance Engineer, my duties were:

Running computer packages Windows 95, 98, ME, M.S. office, MS project 98,
