2. Scene 1:
Interior meeting in Sally, the Principal’s room, into an interior walk through the halls,
down to the café
Richard, the father, and his son Joshua, just had an interview with Sally, the principal,
regarding Joshua’s request of approval to join Collingham. After they exit the
principal’s office, they have a stroll through the hallway, down the staircase, into the
café. We will be starting the shoot when they all exit the office.
Sally: I’m sure your son will love this school, plus the teacher take an insightful interest
into their students.
Richard: That’s a reassuring assumption. I do look forward to Joshua being part of this
school.
Joshua: Dad, I’m Hungry
Richard: Is there somewhere within this facility to grab a bite, Sally?
Sally: Yes we are walking towards the café in fact. Our school chef really knows how
to cook some amazing sandwiches, plus there’s a variety of nibbles for Joshua to
choose from.
Richard: Brilliant.
3. Scene 2:
Interior setting of them in the café.
Richard, Sally & Joshua enter the café, to order some sort from Elaine. Joshua seeks
a sandwich. Whilst Sally, Richard & Elaine are deep into conversation, Joshua gets
taken away, subtly, from Richard’s grasps. He doesn’t realise for a fair few seconds.
Sally: So, this is the café, and this is our dedicated chef Elaine.
Elaine: Good Afternoon Sally.
Sally: Good Afternoon Elaine, this is Richard & his son Joshua, they are looking into
coming to Collingham for the scholastic year of 2016.
Richard: Pleasure to meet you Elaine.
Elaine: Likewise, what could I do for you?
Joshua: Can I have a Ham & Cheese Toastie please?
Elaine: Yes, sure.
Sally: Elaine’s loves to cook all sorts of different specials, on a daily basis. Always
differentiating her recipes to the suiting of the children’s taste buds.
Richard: That’s great to hear, are the dishes mainly healthy based, or to the usual
liking of children’s habits?
Sally: It seems to have a fair variety of both. What do you think, Elaine?
(Joshua gets taken away over here.)
Elaine: Yeah I do try to make the meals as easy as possibly for the students. The daily
specials are for those that like different tasting dishes. The teachers are usually my
main consumers of the daily specials. They are a big fan of my spaghetti Bolognese.
Richard: That’s great. I see you serve soup? May I purchase a small cup please?
Elaine: Yes sure. Sally, would you like anything?
Sally: I’m fine for now thank you, that spaghetti is still stored up for me !
Elaine: Ok then. Richard, where did Joshua go? Sandwich is nearly ready for him.
Richard: Joshua? Blimey hell, where did he go?!? Joshua? Josh? Did you see where
he went by any chance, Elaine?
Elaine: Am afraid not, thought you knew he wasn’t next you. I didn’t see him by your
side after I finished preparing the sandwich.
(Richard walks off, looking around the café, into the hallways.)
4. Scene 3:
Interior walk around, focused on Richard.
Richard would be walking around the hallways, staircase, ground floor hallway,
going in the direction, out of the school. The credits would start when he enters the
ground floor hallways.
Richard: JOSHUA?? WHERE ARE YOU? Have you seen Joshua, any of you?
JOSHUAA?? God damn it where the hell did he go… JOOOOSHUAAA???? For friggs
sake, he always wanders off somehow under my nose.. JOSHUAAAAA
