Five Sense Of Design Essay
Five Senses of Design
The show did a good job at engaging most of the senses. Sight was engaged through looking at all
the show trucks. They also set up social media pages where people could tag and post pictures to. I
think it would be really engaging it the show goers could vote through social media on their favorite
truck. They could have a picture of each truck and the one with the most likes wins a prize. This
would engage those at the show and people who were not at the show. The picture below is of my
husband's work truck.
Hearing was engaged through the music on the radio and through the two bands performing in the
afternoon. Songs people know where playing and could be sung along with and attendees walked
the show or stopped ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They would have flowed through the show, their attention captured by whatever held their interest.
No issues besides the heat probably crossed their consciousness. In this aspect the show was
organized very well. The agenda was followed throughout the day until the parade that was
supposed to start at dusk but really started and hour and a half after sunset. Like in all things, there
is room for improvement.
In the Iceberg concept of culture, what is visible above the surface vs. under the surface, the event
planners definitely operated above the iceberg. There was food vendors and breakfast supplied to
the participants, live music for all to enjoy, information about the show, charities, and programs, and
games could be played to raise money for charities. To those who attended the show it was mostly
above the iceberg. For the participants in the show, more culture took place under the iceberg. I
received a "back stage pass" because my husband was in the show. Not being a trucker I was able to
notice the curtesy truckers gave each other and the elderly leaders of the show. You can see the pride
the owners/drivers took in the beauty and presentation of their vehicle. The shows founding
members are getting elderly and received many compliments and rounds of applause. They have
trained their family members to take their place. At the awards ceremony there

Biography of Michael Jackson
He was known as the "king of pop" but his reign on the throne wasn't always easy.
Michael Jackson was a talented singer, songwriter, dancer, and one of the most popular entertainers
in pop culture history. As a child, Michael was the lead singer of his family's Motown group, the
Jackson 5. He went onto a solo career debuting his first song "Got To Be There" in 1971. His 1982
album Thriller has sold an estimated sixty–six million copies around the world, making it the
biggest seller of all time. In his later years, Jackson had been accused of bleaching his skin and
allegations of child molestation. He died of a drug overdose just before launching a comeback tour
in 2009.

'Off The Wall' was very successful selling more than 20 million copies but that is nothing compared
to his next album 'Thriller'. Released in 1982,'Thriller' is the best selling album in history selling 66
million copies. The album held the number one spot for 37 weeks and gained him 8 grammy wins.
At age 29 Michael Jackson released the album 'Bad' which had 5 number one hits. 'Bad' was highly
successful, but it was not able to replicate the sales of Thriller. In 1991, Jackson released Dangerous,
featuring the hit 'Black or White.' The video for this song caused some controversy with his sexual
gesturing and violent actions. In 1993, he performed at the halftime show of Superbowl 1993. The
same year allegations of child molestation against Michael emerged. A 13–year–old boy claimed
that the pop star had touched him. It was known that Michael would have sleepovers with boys at
his Neverland Ranch, but this was the first allegation of doing something wrong. The police
searched the ranch, but found no evidence to support the claim. That year, Jackson agreed to a
television interview with Oprah Winfrey. Seeking to put an end to some of the rumors about his
behavior. He explained that he bleached his skin because he had a disease called vitiligo, and talked
about the abuse he suffered. In 1994 Michael

A Speech On Being A Terrible Dancer
I stood in fear in front of hundreds of people, and the entire time I could feel them judging me for
being a terrible dancer. I remember it vividly. Never in my life had I felt so embarrassed, so
unconfident in my skills. In my childhood, I was always praised for being an extremely good dancer
but now, at such an important moment of my life, my skills betrayed me and the tables turned.
Every time I heard the sound of laughter from the audience it felt as though they were laughing at
me. In one day, in a single hour, on a single stage I experienced my worst nightmare. To become a
laughingstock at my school, reduced from a popular girl to a dorky clown who is just there for
people to laugh at, it was unbearable to think. As I was dancing horribly, it happened, I fell.
It was September 3, 2006 and I was only in grade six. Every year our school held an annual cultural
night. The event showcased singing, dancing, a drama, and an award ceremony. That year I was
chosen to dance. As I already had an existing reputation for dancing well, I was an appropriate
choice for the event. The dance I chose to do was complicated in itself but I wanted to take it one
step further by adding my own twist to it. The dance consisted of traditional Bengali dance followed
by a small contemporary piece and then finished by a combination of Salsa and Tango. I chose these
dance forms because I was trained for many years in these arts.
On the night of the performance quite a few excellent performances

Aristotle Honorable
The definition of Honorable can be defined in many ways. But in this case it means to have high
respect for that one person. To me it means to show respect for that person or that topic. Although he
was not a scientist by today's standards, science was one of the many things he studied during his
time at school as a teacher. His study included the study of biology, marine biology and
Meteorology. He studied in many fields of science. He was a big scientist of his time. (384–322BC)
He is famous for his introduction to the scientific method and is also known for providing important
term of science called 'empiricism'. Aristotle composed over 200 works but only 31 survived.
Although he never was rewarded with an award, there was an award named after him. During his
childhood he lost his father at a young age. But that only made him strive for achievements. During
his time he wrote many books on the human body. He wrote a book over 50 pages which may not
sound like a lot now but back then it was huge. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

were made from the four elements Earth, fire, water and air. By the way is totally wrong. He made
many mistakes, but they were corrected by time. He was proven wrong by the scientific reason. Not
all things are made from fire for instance. He worked in Greece almost all his life and died from
natural causes. He asked to be buried by his wife – Herpyllis–who died a couple years before him.
While he was a teacher he taught Alexander the Great. He is honorable because he had many
achievements people often overlook. If he never gave us ideas on the scientific method we may not
have one today. He never gave up. He made mistakes on the atomic theory but was proven wrong

Importance Of College Education
I was born and raised in New York. My six siblings and I always had the necessities of life. My
parents made sure we had a roof over our heads, food on the table, clothes on our backs, and a lot of
love. They felt that a college education was very important but they could not afford to offer one to
me so I began working full time right after high school. I worked very hard, but without a college
degree, it was clear there would be little room for advancement. I knew I wanted more for myself so
I made the decision to go to college. I was supporting myself by this time so I had to continue
working full time during the day while taking courses at Nassau Community College during the
evening. I was not sure of my career path so I tested the waters by taking courses in areas that I
thought I would enjoy. First, I tried Marketing; I quickly realized it was not for me. Economics was
an area that I enjoyed, but I didn't know how I could apply it to my career. As I explored the various
areas of study, it became very clear to me that I was far less creative and far more analytical than I
thought when I started this journey. I realized I was very good with numbers so an accounting
degree seemed to make the most sense. As time passed, it seemed like life got in the way of my
pursuit of a college degree. I got married and shortly thereafter, we began a family. I continued to
work full time during the day and my husband, a police officer, worked nights. It became far too
difficult for me

Caught in the Act was released on November 15, 2005 and recorded live at the Wiltern Theatre.
Country Artist and American Idol winner Carrie Underwood also released her album Some Hearts
that same day. Later that month, Chris Brown entered the music scene with his first album. The CD
portion of Caught in the Act includes eight songs from the show which are also included on the
DVD. The live album kicks off with "Feeling Good" with a very dramatic introduction – the song is
a standard made popular by Nina Simone, "Sway" was originally a Mexican mambo until Dean
Martin made his own recording in 1954, "Try A Little Tenderness" was known as a soul song by
Otis Redding with snare kicks but Bublѐ performs this classic as a soft ballad with the drums using
brushes, "Fever" has a heavy big band swing with sexy flair, Bublѐ's version of "Come Fly With
Me" is a little more upbeat but still compliments Frank Sinatra's original, "Moondance" is a heavy
bass but also a light jazz song, "You Don't Know Me" is famously known by the Ray Charles
recording and is a slow jazz ballad which Bublѐ interprets very well, followed by another slow jazz
ballad "That's All" was written and made popular by Nat King Cole, "For Once In My Life" is an
upbeat swing arrangement made famous by Stevie Wonder, and "You'll Never Find Another Love
Like Mine" is a romantic duet with Bublѐ and Laura Pausini. Bublѐ takes a break from jazz and
standards during the concert and tries to imitate an opera singer named Josh Groban who makes a
surprise appearance and the two do a short imitation of each other. Evening furthering away from
jazz, Bublѐ does a cover of pop rock song "This Love" by Maroon 5. After returning to the
standards, Bublѐ starts with "I've Got You Under My Skin" a signature Frank Sinatra song with a
powerful trombone solo, "Home" is the only original song on the album, "The More I See You"

Letter Chapter Probation Letter Draft
Upsilon Chapter Probation Letter Draft In April 2014, Fraternity Council placed Upsilon Chapter on
a Warning of Probation for poor communication with the Fraternity, failure to follow Risk
Management Procedures, and failure to follow previous requests to maintain Fraternity standards.
This Warning of Probation was extended in April 2015 and again in February 2016. We are pleased
with Upsilon Chapter's progress. Chapter officers made great strides by implementing change,
applying parliamentary procedure, and developing a master calendar and chapter budget. However,
you should recall that when we met with you in February, we emphasized the need for individual
members to engage with Chapter Council to make deeper changes that reflect the shared values of
our Fraternity. Issues that surfaced during the spring formal and subsequent Standards Committee
interactions revealed the size of the gulf that continues to exist in this regard. As you are aware, the
events of that April evening drew in the attention of the university administration. The Fraternity
started a dialogue with Northwestern University about our shared concern for Upsilon Chapter. We
are working together to determine ways to ensure the safety, health and well–being of members. Let
us be clear, the events of the spring formal do not erase the progress you have made and it does not
alter the plan we have spelled out to achieve the hard and slow work of culture change. However,
the Fraternity needs to be more

Arcadia Analysis
Introduction
Arcadia is an ancient play by Tom Stoppard regarding a distinct relationship between order and
disorder, past and present, certainty and uncertainty. This play has in the past been praised by critics
as the finest play with significant contemporary playwrights with regards to English language. Tom
Stoppard has also been recognized as the greatest living playwright in English language theater with
timely jumping masterpieces. His elegance allows his forging towards a unique comedy of romance,
sex, wit, scientific theory and poetry, and further introduces active characters whose passion for life
has been noted to intersect across may other centuries. The play is directed by Artistic Director by
name Michael Halberstam. Moreover, Arcadia has for a long time served as an ideal pioneer
production at a performance located in the Writers Theatre's new home, specifically the UT Center
for Performing Arts–Centre theatre on 11th of March back in 2017, at 7:30 PM.
There are three main themes depicted in the Arcadia play, among them; Emotion versus Intellect.
Arcadia outlines two sorts of knowledge, the academic knowledge and the sex–based knowledge,
which have been displayed as in constant conflict in the entire text. The intellectual sex justification
and marriage proposition have been termed as the main factors that create resolution between the
existing forces. The initial pages of the play put focus on the theme of love verses intellect.

Panera Braed Case Analysis
The overview of Company situation : Panera Bread Company Panera Bread company is one of the
leading fast–causal restaurant and widely recognized as the nationwide leader in the baked breads,
made–to–order sandwishes, salads, custom roasted coffees and cafe beverages. The company targets
to urban workers and suburban dwellers who looking for a quick service meal, qualify foods and
environment. In 2004, the customers ranked Panera Bread highest among quick–service restaurants
in the Mid–west and Northeast regions of the United Stats in all catergories which included
environment, meal, service and cost. Panera Bread's Strategies Its strategies were to make great

In my opinion the weaknesses of Panera Bread are the stringent criteria to gain a consideration for a
Panera Bread franchise and the huge amount of initial investment for a Panera Bread bakery–cafe
referred in the exhibit 7 in this case which cost approximately 1,003,000 to 2,235,175 dollars plus
real estate and related costs. This may limit the number of franchisees which could be a barrier of
the expanding strategy in the long run. Moreover, because of the company has its own fresh dough
facilities to supply fresh dough daily to both company–owned and franchised bakery–café , if there
is an accidental problem in deliver process, the store may lack of the fresh dough for producing in
store. Even though the alternative menus such as children's menus, innovative or trendy dishes and
the healthy menu are the opportunities of Panera to extend the target group of customers. The
catering service is the interesting opportunity for the Panera's management team to extend its market
to workplace, schools and parties. In addition, in my opinion expanding to outside United Stats is
another good opportunity to extend the market share as well. According to exhibit 9 in the case, the
direct rival of Panera would be Atlanla Bread Company which its products are almost the same line
with Panera (i.e. fresh–baked breads, salads and sandwiches). If the company overpasses this threat
and does not differentiate its products and

The Famous Fashion Entrepreneur : Hattie Carnegie
Hattie Carnegie (March 15, 1880 – February 22, 1956), Seventh Avenue 's legendary fashion
entrepreneur, once influenced American Fashion with her brilliant fashion savvy. From the 1920s to
the 1960s, her name was synonymous with high fashion, an elegant couture collection and ready to
wear lines.
Born March 15, 1886 in Vienna, Austria as Henrietta Kanengeiser, she was the second of seven
children. She emigrated with her family to the United Sates as a young girl, following a disatrous
fire that destroyed the family home in 1892. From those humble beginnings, her legend arose as she
built a $10 million fashion empire.

Her first job was working with Macy 's in 1901 at the age of 15. She began as salesclerk, and
progressed serving as a mannequin and a milliner. While at Macy 's she received the equivalent of a
fashion education, as well as sharpening her business acumen. Her passion for design, combined
with her unparralleled ability creating fashion styles, and the encouragement of her peers ensured
that the rest of her life would dedicated to fashion.
In a prudent business move, Henrietta became known by her sobriquet, 'Hattie ', and also changed
her last name to Carnegie in honor of the very successful Andrew Carnegie, one of the most
important philathropists of his age.

Does Bob Dylan Deserve The 2016 Nobel Prize?
On Thursday, October 13, 2016, Bob Dylan has been awarded the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature.
Since then, it has been questioned whether or not he deserves this prize. Bob Dylan whose real
name is Robert Allen Zimmerman was raised in Duluth, Minnesota. He has been singing and has
been in bands since he was a teenager and has listened to songs from an even earlier age. He has
been given many awards for his songs and has grown a reputation. However, being awarded the
Nobel Prize had brought up a lot of arguments and questions on if Bob Dylan deserves it. The Nobel
Prize was created by Alfred Nobel who want to prizes to those who have done something incredible
in Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Literature, Peace, and Economic Sciences. Winners ... Show more

Alfred Nobel wants "outstanding" literature from the Literature Prize winner which is stated in his
will, "...one part to the person who shall have produced in the field of literature the most outstanding
work in an ideal direction." Bob Dylan has created many outstanding songs which can be proven by
the awards he had won. Biography states some of the few awards, "The legendary singer–songwriter
has received Grammy, Academy and Golden Globe awards, as well as the Presidential Medal of
Freedom and the Nobel Prize for Literature." These prizes exhibit that Bob Dylan's work must be
very impressive to have won so many awards and it further supports the reason to give him another.
This also brings up the argument that Bob Dylan has too much spotlight and "real" literature writers
deserve. In the article "Why Bob Dylan Shouldn't Have Gotten The Nobel Prize" nytimes.com
states, "The legendary singer–songwriter has received Grammy, Academy and Golden Globe
awards, as well as the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Nobel Prize for Literature...By
honoring a musical icon, the committee members may have wanted to bring new cultural currency
to the prize and make it feel relevant to a younger generation. But there are many ways they could
have accomplished this while still honoring a writer." This article is expressing that awarding a
writer would be more appropriate for the Nobel Prize and that Dylan has already won plenty of
awards. However, this would be saying that someone who is passionate and elaborate in their work
all time should not be recognized because someone else wants a chance. This is saying that a person
who gets 100 as their grade all the time should not be credit because someone who got a 90 deserves
a chance. In

Homeland Security Master Goal

One of my most important goals is having the knowledge and skill set to make a difference. The
ability to analyze security related problems and develop sound solutions can only be gained through
education and experience. This degree program will provide me the ability to project my thoughts
regarding security concerns with a rationale yet credible solutions that are supported by experience
and knowledge obtained from this higher level of education. The Master's Degree program will
enhance my ability to analyze weaknesses in our national security and develop problem–solving
skills that are required to be successful in today's ever–evolving security within FPS and the
Department of Homeland Security. The development of the Interagency Security Committee (ISC)
that has established security standards for our government facilities is invaluable. If ISC standards
would have been implemented in the past, many horrific tragedies would not have occurred at our
federal facilities. It is imperative that these standards are improved upon to meet the security
demands of the future. This can only happen through continued education and commitment to
enhancing our security. The completion of this degree program will provide me the necessary skills

Physics Personal Statement
For years I have shown a passion for physics and I aspire to read it at a deeper level because of its
many phenomena and applications, and the need for skilled physicists in the world, as without them,
civilisation would struggle to thrive. The thought process and unique perceptions that physicists
have are key in driving businesses and other innovations. Furthermore, society is hugely reliant on
technology, resulting in physicists becoming increasingly important to both maintaining and
creating new technological ideas. For example my work experience at Sky allowed me to see how
the approach that the physicists there took enabled them to be very successful in their line of work.
More importantly however, the beauty of physics is found on an intrinsic level which allows us to
understand the universe we live in. For thousands of years, religious beliefs dominated explanations
for important ideas such as how the universe was created, the afterlife, and of course the question of
a deity. Religion shaped society for many years, but the intervention of physics has bravely
challenged these once readily accepted views, creating a society that consists of ... Show more

Job Sharing This facility involves splitting a full time job between two employees who share job
responsibility, compensation and benefits. Employees who specially require to take care of their
children, infants or their aging parents may find this policy highly beneficial. Cognizant also
encourages its employees to usually share job on daily basis so that employees develop mutual

The Fair Work Commission ( Fwc ) Essay
The Fair Work Commission (FWC) in Australia along modern awards and employment contracts,
has the power to control employee wages and conditions. Wages are the price paid to the labour
force for its contributions in the production process. The FWC regulates if the National Employment
Standards and enterprise agreements are met under the Fair Work Act (2009). Modern awards and
employment contracts are arranged for the remaining individuals in order to determine their wages
and conditions. Wages are also determined through the government implementation of price floors
and also the supply and demand. Consequences are implemented by the FWC if Australia
companies are found to have contravened the Fair Work Act (2009), one recent Australian company
that was found to have infringed this legislation was Coles. The implementation of the Fair Work
Act 2009 which came into force on January 1st 2010, was to create a national workplace relations
system for the purpose of setting wages and conditions of employment. This legislation is
overlooked by the Fair Work Commission and ombudsman, whose role is to maintain a safety net of
minimum wages and conditions and ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act. The creation of the

Arcadia by Tom Stoppard Shows The Dangers and Chaos and...
While Arcadia by Tom Stoppard is a play that intertwines a lot of humor with mathematical and
scientific reasoning, it also conveys a message regarding the dangers and chaos of absolute
knowledge. Much of what occurs in Acadia relates to the article The Dangers of Certainty: A Lesson
From Auschwitz written Simon Critchley. In today's modern society, Stoppard's play is about why
scientists proceed in researching concepts that yield nothing; it is about why people associate
themselves with endearment in face of the disruption that it can cause. The characters in the play
struggle, and often fail in their attempts for certainty, falling into irritation with others. Humans, by
nature, are constantly seeking definite answers; a mentality that allows one to address an issue, find
a solution, and continue on. Humans have a hard time accepting that, sometimes, there are things for
which one will never have a definite answer. As the author, Simon Critchley, states, "Insisting on
certainty, by contrast, leads ineluctably to arrogance and dogma based on ignorance." This can be
seen in many instances throughout the play, where many of the characters grow very irritated;
Bernard, for instance, tries to prove his theory that Byron killed Ezra Chater. In his attempt, he
grows ineluctably arrogant, especially when he finds that he is indeed wrong, and fails at his quest
for certainty: "Fucked by dahlia! Do you think? Is it open and shut? Am i fucked? What does it

The Antagonist Playwright Bruce Norris
Playwright Bruce Norris is one of the most purposely antagonistic writers of our time. When a New
York Magazine interviewer suggested he is offensive by instinct, Norris admitted, "These things are
so reflexive that I don't even examine them...I'm so incredibly bored. I want there to be an argument,
and so I start one. It's incredibly easy to do." A reason his plays attract attention is that his bluntness
translates into his writing (Kachka). Bruce Norris was born on May 16, 1960 in Texas. He lived in
Chicago for nineteen years before moving to a New York neighborhood, Brooklyn Heights, in 1998.
As an actor, Norris has played in several movies, including The Sixth Sense, A Civil Action, and All
Good Things. As a playwright, he has earned many

Five Sense Of Design Essay

  • 1. Five Sense Of Design Essay Five Senses of Design The show did a good job at engaging most of the senses. Sight was engaged through looking at all the show trucks. They also set up social media pages where people could tag and post pictures to. I think it would be really engaging it the show goers could vote through social media on their favorite truck. They could have a picture of each truck and the one with the most likes wins a prize. This would engage those at the show and people who were not at the show. The picture below is of my husband's work truck. Hearing was engaged through the music on the radio and through the two bands performing in the afternoon. Songs people know where playing and could be sung along with and attendees walked the show or stopped ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They would have flowed through the show, their attention captured by whatever held their interest. No issues besides the heat probably crossed their consciousness. In this aspect the show was organized very well. The agenda was followed throughout the day until the parade that was supposed to start at dusk but really started and hour and a half after sunset. Like in all things, there is room for improvement. In the Iceberg concept of culture, what is visible above the surface vs. under the surface, the event planners definitely operated above the iceberg. There was food vendors and breakfast supplied to the participants, live music for all to enjoy, information about the show, charities, and programs, and games could be played to raise money for charities. To those who attended the show it was mostly above the iceberg. For the participants in the show, more culture took place under the iceberg. I received a "back stage pass" because my husband was in the show. Not being a trucker I was able to notice the curtesy truckers gave each other and the elderly leaders of the show. You can see the pride the owners/drivers took in the beauty and presentation of their vehicle. The shows founding members are getting elderly and received many compliments and rounds of applause. They have trained their family members to take their place. At the awards ceremony there ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Michael Jackson Research Paper Biography of Michael Jackson He was known as the "king of pop" but his reign on the throne wasn't always easy. Michael Jackson was a talented singer, songwriter, dancer, and one of the most popular entertainers in pop culture history. As a child, Michael was the lead singer of his family's Motown group, the Jackson 5. He went onto a solo career debuting his first song "Got To Be There" in 1971. His 1982 album Thriller has sold an estimated sixty–six million copies around the world, making it the biggest seller of all time. In his later years, Jackson had been accused of bleaching his skin and allegations of child molestation. He died of a drug overdose just before launching a comeback tour in 2009. 'Off The Wall' was very successful selling more than 20 million copies but that is nothing compared to his next album 'Thriller'. Released in 1982,'Thriller' is the best selling album in history selling 66 million copies. The album held the number one spot for 37 weeks and gained him 8 grammy wins. At age 29 Michael Jackson released the album 'Bad' which had 5 number one hits. 'Bad' was highly successful, but it was not able to replicate the sales of Thriller. In 1991, Jackson released Dangerous, featuring the hit 'Black or White.' The video for this song caused some controversy with his sexual gesturing and violent actions. In 1993, he performed at the halftime show of Superbowl 1993. The same year allegations of child molestation against Michael emerged. A 13–year–old boy claimed that the pop star had touched him. It was known that Michael would have sleepovers with boys at his Neverland Ranch, but this was the first allegation of doing something wrong. The police searched the ranch, but found no evidence to support the claim. That year, Jackson agreed to a television interview with Oprah Winfrey. Seeking to put an end to some of the rumors about his behavior. He explained that he bleached his skin because he had a disease called vitiligo, and talked about the abuse he suffered. • 5. A Speech On Being A Terrible Dancer I stood in fear in front of hundreds of people, and the entire time I could feel them judging me for being a terrible dancer. I remember it vividly. Never in my life had I felt so embarrassed, so unconfident in my skills. In my childhood, I was always praised for being an extremely good dancer but now, at such an important moment of my life, my skills betrayed me and the tables turned. Every time I heard the sound of laughter from the audience it felt as though they were laughing at me. In one day, in a single hour, on a single stage I experienced my worst nightmare. To become a laughingstock at my school, reduced from a popular girl to a dorky clown who is just there for people to laugh at, it was unbearable to think. As I was dancing horribly, it happened, I fell. It was September 3, 2006 and I was only in grade six. Every year our school held an annual cultural night. The event showcased singing, dancing, a drama, and an award ceremony. That year I was chosen to dance. As I already had an existing reputation for dancing well, I was an appropriate choice for the event. The dance I chose to do was complicated in itself but I wanted to take it one step further by adding my own twist to it. The dance consisted of traditional Bengali dance followed by a small contemporary piece and then finished by a combination of Salsa and Tango. I chose these dance forms because I was trained for many years in these arts. On the night of the performance quite a few excellent performances ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Aristotle Honorable The definition of Honorable can be defined in many ways. But in this case it means to have high respect for that one person. To me it means to show respect for that person or that topic. Although he was not a scientist by today's standards, science was one of the many things he studied during his time at school as a teacher. His study included the study of biology, marine biology and Meteorology. He studied in many fields of science. He was a big scientist of his time. (384–322BC) He is famous for his introduction to the scientific method and is also known for providing important term of science called 'empiricism'. Aristotle composed over 200 works but only 31 survived. Although he never was rewarded with an award, there was an award named after him. During his childhood he lost his father at a young age. But that only made him strive for achievements. During his time he wrote many books on the human body. He wrote a book over 50 pages which may not sound like a lot now but back then it was huge. ... While he was a teacher he taught Alexander the Great. He is honorable because he had many achievements people often overlook. • 7. Importance Of College Education I was born and raised in New York. My six siblings and I always had the necessities of life. My parents made sure we had a roof over our heads, food on the table, clothes on our backs, and a lot of love. They felt that a college education was very important but they could not afford to offer one to me so I began working full time right after high school. I worked very hard, but without a college degree, it was clear there would be little room for advancement. I knew I wanted more for myself so I made the decision to go to college. I was supporting myself by this time so I had to continue working full time during the day while taking courses at Nassau Community College during the evening. I was not sure of my career path so I tested the waters by taking courses in areas that I thought I would enjoy. First, I tried Marketing; I quickly realized it was not for me. Economics was an area that I enjoyed, but I didn't know how I could apply it to my career. As I explored the various areas of study, it became very clear to me that I was far less creative and far more analytical than I thought when I started this journey. I realized I was very good with numbers so an accounting degree seemed to make the most sense. As time passed, it seemed like life got in the way of my pursuit of a college degree. I got married and shortly thereafter, we began a family. I continued to work full time during the day and my husband, a police officer, worked nights. It became far too difficult for me ... The CD portion of Caught in the Act includes eight songs from the show which are also included on the DVD. The live album kicks off with "Feeling Good" with a very dramatic introduction – the song is a standard made popular by Nina Simone, "Sway" was originally a Mexican mambo until Dean Martin made his own recording in 1954, "Try A Little Tenderness" was known as a soul song by Otis Redding with snare kicks but Bublѐ performs this classic as a soft ballad with the drums using brushes, "Fever" has a heavy big band swing with sexy flair, Bublѐ's version of "Come Fly With Me" is a little more upbeat but still compliments Frank Sinatra's original, "Moondance" is a heavy bass but also a light jazz song, "You Don't Know Me" is famously known by the Ray Charles recording and is a slow jazz ballad which Bublѐ interprets very well, followed by another slow jazz ballad "That's All" was written and made popular by Nat King Cole, "For Once In My Life" is an upbeat swing arrangement made famous by Stevie Wonder, and "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" is a romantic duet with Bublѐ and Laura Pausini. Bublѐ takes a break from jazz and standards during the concert and tries to imitate an opera singer named Josh Groban who makes a surprise appearance and the two do a short imitation of each other. Evening furthering away from jazz, Bublѐ does a cover of pop rock song "This Love" by Maroon 5. • 11. Letter Chapter Probation Letter Draft Upsilon Chapter Probation Letter Draft In April 2014, Fraternity Council placed Upsilon Chapter on a Warning of Probation for poor communication with the Fraternity, failure to follow Risk Management Procedures, and failure to follow previous requests to maintain Fraternity standards. This Warning of Probation was extended in April 2015 and again in February 2016. We are pleased with Upsilon Chapter's progress. Chapter officers made great strides by implementing change, applying parliamentary procedure, and developing a master calendar and chapter budget. However, you should recall that when we met with you in February, we emphasized the need for individual members to engage with Chapter Council to make deeper changes that reflect the shared values of our Fraternity. Issues that surfaced during the spring formal and subsequent Standards Committee interactions revealed the size of the gulf that continues to exist in this regard. As you are aware, the events of that April evening drew in the attention of the university administration. The Fraternity started a dialogue with Northwestern University about our shared concern for Upsilon Chapter. We are working together to determine ways to ensure the safety, health and well–being of members. Let us be clear, the events of the spring formal do not erase the progress you have made and it does not alter the plan we have spelled out to achieve the hard and slow work of culture change. This may limit the number of franchisees which could be a barrier of the expanding strategy in the long run. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Alfred Nobel wants "outstanding" literature from the Literature Prize winner which is stated in his will, "...one part to the person who shall have produced in the field of literature the most outstanding work in an ideal direction." Bob Dylan has created many outstanding songs which can be proven by the awards he had won. Biography states some of the few awards, "The legendary singer–songwriter has received Grammy, Academy and Golden Globe awards, as well as the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Nobel Prize for Literature." These prizes exhibit that Bob Dylan's work must be very impressive to have won so many awards and it further supports the reason to give him another. This also brings up the argument that Bob Dylan has too much spotlight and "real" literature writers deserve. In the article "Why Bob Dylan Shouldn't Have Gotten The Nobel Prize" nytimes.com states, "The legendary singer–songwriter has received Grammy, Academy and Golden Globe awards, as well as the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Nobel Prize for Literature...By honoring a musical icon, the committee members may have wanted to bring new cultural currency to the prize and make it feel relevant to a younger generation. But there are many ways they could have accomplished this while still honoring a writer." This article is expressing that awarding a writer would be more appropriate for the Nobel Prize and that Dylan has already won plenty of awards. However, this would be saying that someone who is passionate and elaborate in their work all time should not be recognized because someone else wants a chance. The development of the Interagency Security Committee (ISC) that has established security standards for our government facilities is invaluable. If ISC standards would have been implemented in the past, many horrific tragedies would not have occurred at our federal facilities. It is imperative that these standards are improved upon to meet the security demands of the future. This can only happen through continued education and commitment to enhancing our security. The completion of this degree program will provide me the necessary skills to improve all aspects of security not only as a commander within FPS but in all areas of DHS. It only helps to point out exemplary performance – just that one extra mile. I believe one of the best indication for good work is when children and parents come with a request end of the year (which happens often) that we want the same teacher next year.(recent example). This gesture itself is a reward for a teacher. And for the school, when children continue. It shows 'all is well" or 'almost all is well'. Thank you for your continued trust and faith. Keller has numerous awards and recognitions for his talent within the food world. He is not only an amazing chef, but he is a revolutionary one. Keller says his cooking style is an "evolutionary process" in that it is always growing and changing much like the world. Thomas Keller is a very, very successful chef given that he didn't attend any special, high–priced culinary schools to learn what he knows or get to where he is now compared to the countless number of people that do go to culinary school and don't get much farther. Henin also mentioned that the staff stopped their incessant whining, or as Henin said "bitching", a few days after Keller was hired as staff chef. Keller was able to gain approval with attention and care in detail. He cooked with an emotion that just screamed love for his work. That landed him his upgrade to night saucier, which is right under sous–chef. Becoming night saucier led him to learning the fundamentals of classic cooking. Keller mentions that this was a turning point in his career, he became very serious about cooking. Keller describes that Henin taught him how the great cooks operated and that their job also requires the nurturing of people. Keller went on to work for various establishments in Florida and New York. • 36. Physics Personal Statement For years I have shown a passion for physics and I aspire to read it at a deeper level because of its many phenomena and applications, and the need for skilled physicists in the world, as without them, civilisation would struggle to thrive. The thought process and unique perceptions that physicists have are key in driving businesses and other innovations. Furthermore, society is hugely reliant on technology, resulting in physicists becoming increasingly important to both maintaining and creating new technological ideas. For example my work experience at Sky allowed me to see how the approach that the physicists there took enabled them to be very successful in their line of work. More importantly however, the beauty of physics is found on an intrinsic level which allows us to understand the universe we live in. For thousands of years, religious beliefs dominated explanations for important ideas such as how the universe was created, the afterlife, and of course the question of a deity. Religion shaped society for many years, but the intervention of physics has bravely challenged these once readily accepted views, creating a society that consists of ... • 40. Arcadia by Tom Stoppard Shows The Dangers and Chaos and... While Arcadia by Tom Stoppard is a play that intertwines a lot of humor with mathematical and scientific reasoning, it also conveys a message regarding the dangers and chaos of absolute knowledge. Much of what occurs in Acadia relates to the article The Dangers of Certainty: A Lesson From Auschwitz written Simon Critchley. In today's modern society, Stoppard's play is about why scientists proceed in researching concepts that yield nothing; it is about why people associate themselves with endearment in face of the disruption that it can cause. The characters in the play struggle, and often fail in their attempts for certainty, falling into irritation with others. Humans, by nature, are constantly seeking definite answers; a mentality that allows one to address an issue, find a solution, and continue on. Humans have a hard time accepting that, sometimes, there are things for which one will never have a definite answer. As the author, Simon Critchley, states, "Insisting on certainty, by contrast, leads ineluctably to arrogance and dogma based on ignorance." This can be seen in many instances throughout the play, where many of the characters grow very irritated; Bernard, for instance, tries to prove his theory that Byron killed Ezra Chater. In his attempt, he grows ineluctably arrogant, especially when he finds that he is indeed wrong, and fails at his quest for certainty: "Fucked by dahlia! Do you think? Is it open and shut? Am i fucked? What does it really amount to? When ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I want there to be an argument, and so I start one. It's incredibly easy to do." A reason his plays attract attention is that his bluntness translates into his writing (Kachka).
