Alexander the Great was educated by Aristotle and took the throne at age 16 after his father's departure for war. He established new cities and employed innovative military tactics like the wedge formation using long spears. Alexander acquired many titles as he expanded his empire across Asia, dressing and acting like the local peoples. His death remains mysterious, possibly due to poisoning or accumulated wounds from past battles.
2. EDUCATION
• In Alexanders early education his father King
Phillip chose Aristotle to be Alexanders teacher.
In favor King Phillip told Aristotle that he would
rebuild his hometown Stagira repopulate it and
free the ex citizens and pardon some that were in
exile.
• Alexander was put into Mieza an boarding school
for the noble children. Aristotle taught Alex and
most of the children
3. TAKING THE THRONE
• Alexander didn’t take the throne till he
was about 16. He took over for his father
while he was at war with the Byzantion.
Alexander took quick actions to push the
Thracians off of their territory as they tried
to invade it after his father left. He also
colonized with the geek and named the
new city after himself.
4. MILITARY STYLE
• Alexander was also known for his great
military style called the wedge position which
made it hard for enemies to push through the
lines of his armies.
• He and his army used long spears to fight off
the enemies from a distance making it hard for
them to get close to them.
5. TITLES
• Not only was alexander the king of
Macedonia but he was also King of Asia,
Sone of Zeus, Sogdia, Rainmaker, and The
invincible God.
• that’s six titles that he had clam to which is
pretty good for a guy who is barely coming
into his twenties.
6. FAMILY
• Alexanders family was fairly small yet strange
family. He had a wife and a son but his son did
not belong to his wife. His son belonged to his
mistress Barsine who also happened to be the
woman who took his virginity.
7. GORDIAN KNOT
• Alexander was also known for “solving” the
Gordian knot. A general tied up his cart with
a complicated knot AKA the Gordian knot.
Many people tired to take it apart. If you
could take it apart you would become ruler
of Asia. And so many people tired and tired
till alexander walked up to it looked at it
and simply cut the knot open making
himself ruler of Asia.
8. DRESS LIKE THE NATIVES
• When alexander became King of Asia he
adopted a lot the traits of the local
natives. He would wear perfume and put
scented oils in his bath.
• He would also start to dress like the
Asians just so that he could be a little bit
likte them he would combine their
clothes with his to express himself.
9. MYSTERIOUS DEATH
• Finally alexanders death was the most
mysterious and still remains a mystery.
They believe that he was possibly
poised. But studies show that he could
have died from all of his past battle
wounds. It still remains a mystery on
how he exactly died
