REGRETS & ART THERAPY
(Spread them away)
There was darkness all over the world, the world of a man, named RAW. He was tall but
round in appearance. Obese is the word he has been listening since his childhood.
Children usually laugh and try to hide from him behind their parents calling “look” at that
uncle, he looks like a huge apple. The bundle of these negative compliments and
experiences collectively became the reason of the darkness he was feeling during his
newspaper study time when he used to sit alone in a small room in his home.
An obese remembers when they were first called fat, they feel the pain of being
helpless internally and this helplessness grows into a continuous cycle of repetitive
behavior of eating more and more. This compensation of continuing self-destructive
act of unhealthy eating has its root within the trauma, an unforgettable shock or
emotional pain. The memories of bullying kept on accumulating and turns into a
bundle of regrets.
Regret is a one way of critically analyzing yourself, self blaming and poor self image
are two of the major characteristics often seen among those who used to regret over
their something that happened in the past and still have present in their lives in the

forms of memories, nightmares or some kind of consequences. For example- A child
used to consume only deep fried foods and excessive sugar drinks in meals twice a
day transformed into an obese teenager would regret in young adulthood.
“Depiction of Self-Image, a regretful personality”
Regrets lead to depression, which is a serious psychological disorder but it can be
productive if it motivates you to take a positive action and fight over a regret. One
solution is to follow a serious, strenuous workout plan and another is-
Here I am proposing a colorful regimen to apply in your leisure time preferably
before sleeping so that it will also let you sleep quickly without allowing
troublesome thoughts to haunt your mind:
Do it daily-
We feel more than one emotion at a time, may be we experience anger but
underneath there is a feeling of shame and to wrap that shame rather than
expressing to prevent our ego we remain angry most of the time.
There is also a core thought or regret behind what appears to everyone. A recent
research in USA performed their study on adults revealed that most of them are
regretting in their adulthood about a lost relationship, friendship and romance they
used to do in their teenage. 44% of women and 19% of men are living in regret and
complaining about their present love relationships. This scenario is closely related
to a human being, a social animal. Loss of relationship and lack of social support is
the root cause of many psychological issues these days.
First, it is important to identify what exactly your regret is? Is it a thought? An
emotion? Deep down whatever is this just confront it. In a silent, comfortable place,
sit alone, relax and be aware of your breath. Empties your mind from all the fluff and
listen what is it that you often call a “regret”.
You simply need a plain paper and a pencil, few colors if you like and just keep on
creating, writing, drawing, coloring or making lines, making anything that you are
thinking about, feeling about and worrying about. Yes you can write anything too
definitely. You don’t have to think while doing this, continue till your mind is
speaking and emotions are felt. Try not to miss anything 

Solve your confusions-
Most of the time a clear picture provides awareness to you about the options you
have to solve your problems. It is fruitful to understand your regrets, isn’t it?
It is proven through professionals around the world that regrets are not always
negative. There is positivity in everything even a stop clock show right time twice a
day. They are pioneers of new habits, improved lifestyle, better health and
psychological well being.
