Also, we played basketball for the kids so they can have fun. also the people were saying thank you
for how good we did with the kids. At the end we made everybody get in the middle of the floor and
they were dancing everybody was praying and enjoying themselves. People could've been killed and
hurt and danger or dead, because if it wasn't for against and we did not let them come to our school
it would've been a lot of people hurt and killed. Our school community was a life saver for the
people in savannah. There were a lot of people with torn down houses. It was a lot of them to go
through, most people did not even have time to get their cars. We saved the people in savannah from
getting into dangerous position. They were very happy and they really were loving and they cared
for the things that we gave them. we had supplies we gave away clothes and shoes and food and lots
more so they can feel good and have something to take home with them. Also we got the red cross
involved with it to help us with the effects. We treated them as if it was ours so we did what we had

Savannah Trusty Storytelling Outline
Savannah Trusty Storytelling Outline Your name: Savannah Trusty Story name: Narcissus and Echo
_ Protagonist: Echo (anti hero Aphrodite) Antagonist: Hera _ Tone/Mood that you want to set:
Happy and sassy, but then sad or forlorn. Next would be a quick anger, and finally somber.
Storytelling Arc elements: 1. Echo was a dryad and good at singing and gossiping, but she was very
kind. So Aphrodite liked her and said that if she ever needed someone to fall in love with her, or if
Echo just needed help to call her. 2. Entering the forest Narcissus was lost and because he was so
beautiful, every woman he meet fainted. So Narcissus thinks that he is needs to be with someone

Zeus came out with the water nymph from the underbrush, and gave her a blue ring from his hand.
Hera discovered that Zeus wasn't there, and went down to where Echo was. She saw the ring that
Zeus had worn, and cursed Echo for lying to her so she could only say the last words that had been
said to her. 5. Echo sees Narcissus and tries to talk to him, but she can only say what was said last to
her. Narcissus walks away disgusted with Echo, because she repeated what was said to her, and he
didn't understand her punishment. This left Echo very sad. Echo silently prays to Aphrodite, and
says that she must disappear too along with her love because the pain is too great. 6. Aphrodite
grants her wish and adds to it because Echo wasn't selfish and didn't ask for revenge on love.
Although, that didn't mean that Aphrodite could get revenge for her. She made her love never be
able to know the loving of another, but long for it. So Narcissus would love someone who could
never love him back. Narcissus looked into the water of a river finger, and the water looked like a
mirror. So he thought that his reflection was a girl because the water made the hair look longer.
Narcissus thinks it's the river god's daughter and she's shy, because when he touches the water it
goes away. When he touches it again, he decides that he'll stay there until she loves him. Echo's
voice followed him, and he pleads with his reflection, and of course Echo repeats it. He then turned
into a flower, which is

Savannah Daily Republican Newspaper Analysis
The Savannah Daily Republican newspaper for the months of October and November in 1842 give a
snapshot of the main issues and interests of the people in this time frame. The recurring themes
center around the economy, sectionalism, and social reforms. The advertisements, local ordinances,
and legal notices highlight daily life during this period. As observed in the newspaper and as it is
commonly known, the economy of Savannah and of the South, was mainly based on agriculture,
primarily cotton, which was supported by the shipping and emerging railroad industries. There are
many advertisements in the paper for the employment of ships for ocean and river distribution
routes. The port of Savannah was very important in the exportation of cotton ... Show more content

Usually the local ordinances would be printed more than one day; this was likely so that readers
would not miss the important information. One of these ordinances is a perfect example of how life
was like for any non–white person, usually Negroes, and the restrictions on what they could do. It
was entitled, "An Ordinance for regulating the public Market in the city of Savannah," and pertained
to slaves, free Negroes, mulattoes, and mestizos using a stall and working in the meat market. They
could not rent, hire, occupy, or use either by himself, or by or through another person, any stall in
the market for the sale of large or small meats. Also, they could not act as a butcher, cut up meat, or
sell the meat. There were, however, certain meats that they could sell, and this did not prohibit white
butchers from employing slaves. If this were to happen, the person notifying the officials may be
able to claim the meats, and the non–white committing the unlawful activity would be subject to
fines or whipping, or both at the discretion of the mayor. This was not appealing to

The African Savannah is home to many animals, but it's filled with the unexpected. The scenery

folks instinctively stroll to and fro enjoying the abundance of things to see and do. Keep in mind,
though, that if you're not inclined to slip on a comfortable pair of walking shoes to go exploring on

Cheetahs: The Speedster Of The African Savannah
The Speedster of the African Savannah Did you know that not all wild animals could roar? Which
animal looks like it has been crying for three months? Find out in this reading. In addition, by
exploring its predatory nature, its physical characteristics, its habitat, and its social structure, the
reader can understand the importance of its place in nature (Thesis statement) What is the fastest
animal in the world? Is it the leopard? Is it the cheetah?
Maybe it is the peregrine falcon. The answer is the cheetah. The dry, open grasslands of the African
Savannah, where the temperatures are usually 78–86°F, is where this majestic creature lives. They
hide in the grasses to stalk, chase, catch, and eat their prey. There is only about 9,000–12,000 of the
animals living today. That means that they are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The male does not raise the cubs. It usually takes about ninety to ninety–five days in the mother's
womb. The cheetahs can have anywhere from two–five cubs in a litter. Some cubs do not make it to
adulthood. The young cheetah cubs are blind when they are born. They begin to eat meat six weeks
after being born. The cheetah is not always the predator. When a cheetah catches his prey, it has to
eat very fast, otherwise another animal may try to come and take it. When that happens, the cheetah
has some means of self–protection. One way is running away from the predator. Another way is they
can attack in a group to take down the animal. The cheetah can also hunt in the morning before the
other animals wake, or hunting in the evening. Some unusual facts about the cheetah are that unlike
other cats, they cannot climb trees. They also cannot roar, but they can purr very loudly. Siblings
mostly form the hunting groups. The cheetah is the smallest of all of the wild cats. Streaks under the
cat's eyes or "tear marks" help them to see, because it blocks out the sun's rays. Their tail is a form
of steering to help them to turn tight

Savannah Cats Essay
Are savannah cats or serval cats hypoallergenic? Short answer is NO savannah cats and serval cats
are not hypoallergenic. For people who suffer from cat allergies, and those who do not suffer from
allergies I have to break it to you that ALL cats regardless of breed this includes Bengal cats and
savannah cats whether long hair, short hair or no hair can cause allergies. Any vet of any state can
confirm this known fact. Contrary to popular belief, allergic reactions from cats are not the result of
cat hair length.
The true culprit of cat allergic reactions is a glyco–protein known as Fel d1 that is produced in the
sebaceous glands of the skin, saliva, and urine.
The only breed that produces less Fel d1 is the siberian forest cat. The theories of why siberian do

Those are the long hairs within the cat's coat. So breeds where developed which lacks these guard
hairs Devon/Cornish Rex or the hairless Sphynx. These breeds are NOT hypoallergenic or allergen–
free because It is not the hair which causes the allergic reaction. The real culprit appears to be a
glycoprotein, Fel d1 which is secreted by the sebaceous glands and is the major cat allergen. This
allergen is found in the cat fur, pelt, saliva, serum, urine, mucous, salivary glands, and hair roots of
the cat. The main sources of the allergen, however, are the skin and saliva.
When a cat grooms/washes itself, saliva is deposited on its fur. The saliva dries into dust which is
released airborne when a cat scratches or moves and when humans stroke or brush a cat. Fel d1. All
cats groom themselves, even those which lack guard hairs or which lack hair altogether like the
Sphynx. The dust forms on all types of cat hair or directly on the cat's skin if it lacks fur. Hairless
Sphynx cats produce dandruff directly on their skin and though they produce less of it than furred
cats, they can still produce enough to trigger an allergic

Personal Narrative: Savannah
"No, do not leave!" I said in a panic, watching my older sister Savannah drive off with complete
strangers. I stood in the middle of the drive way with a puzzled face, thinking, "why is she rebelling
against us?" I could feel the intense failure my mother was feeling inside as she wondered where she
went wrong. My mother raised my siblings and I to be strong, independent and hardworking. Thus
decision Savannah made was very confusing us. My mom was very concerned about Savannah's
actions because she did not have a job, a vehicle, or money to support herself. When my younger
sister and I returned to school, we were hoping to see Savannah, but sadly we did not. Days passed,
and we never saw her. I had a gut feeling she had dropped out of school. ... Show more content on

There had been several times I had to watch my language, and choose better diction to use around
her. I say this, because I am now the "older sister" my sister looks up to. Also education has always
been extremely important to me. When Savannah dropped out of school, her decision crushed me,
as well as the family. I became more concerned about the view my little sister may feel towards
schooling. I wanted her to understand she needed to graduate high school and maybe consider
furthering her education to a university. Even if she does not go to college immediately, she could
still better herself if she at least has her high school diploma as a starting point. My sisters leaving
made me do the impossible at a young age. I became the mature, stabled adult that I thought, she
would be. In essence, her absence made me a better older sister and daughter. I have truly grown up
to become more reliable, dependable, and mindful to my family. Could one become the role model

Backcountry In Georgia
The Trustees, Salzburgers, and Sir James Wright affected Georgia's society in their own unique
ways. The Trustees impacted the Georgian society when they imposed their strict laws. They had
imposed these laws as a way to repair the issues that they saw in England, and their objective was to
make Georgia a "worker's paradise" and model colony. By outlawing rum, slaves, land ownership,
and lawyers, the Trustees had created temporary peace. However, people in the colony, referred to
as malcontents, became unhappy with these regulations, specifically the outlawing of land
ownership, slaves, and rum. In order to prevent a wealthy upper class, an equal amount of land was

Sir James Wright was the third Royal Governor that Georgia had had. The first, Captain John
Reynolds, attempted to rule Georgia as if it was a navy ship (since he was a former naval officer).
He was extremely unpopular and confrontational, thus he was replaced by the king after only three
years. The second Royal Governor, Henry Ellis, was a previous explorer who was popular among
Indians, legislature members, and colonists because of his genuine concern for the colony.
Unfortunately, after only a few years he had to resign his post because of extreme heat and humidity
coupled with his poor state of health. Sir James Wright was the happy medium between the two
former governors. He was the most popular and successful of all the governors, and he built a very
good relationship with the colonial legislature, opened millions of acres for the public to settle, and
he negotiated helpful treaties with Native Americans. Under the leadership of James Wright,
Georgia prospered, growing faster than any other North American colony. He had an overall
positive effect on the society of the colony. Because he negiotiated treaties with Native Americans,
society was much safer, for there were mostl likely few Indian attacks on settlers and relations
between the two groups were far better. In addition, he created a positive atmosphere because he
opened up land for settlement and ownership, something that the

My Life As A Premature Baby
On September 28, 1990, I embarked on this journey called life. Due to me being a premature baby, I
had a few complications in my early years of development. Also, my mother who I love dearly has
been handicapped my entire life and the first couple of years of my life was wheel chair bound.
Because of these two factors, I would mimic much of my behavior in my early years after her. For
example, I did not walk until I was two years. This caused doctors and my mother to be concerned
about my development. So for the first four years of my life, I went to a number of therapists.
At the age of two, I started school at Urban Christian Academy here in Savannah Ga. My teachers
there were awesome. They worked with me and made sure I was nurtured and taught everything I
needed to know. After completing the elementary grades, I went to Bible Baptist day school as a
seventh grader. I stayed there until the eleventh grade.
After finishing middle school and the first two years of high school, I finished out my High School
years at Jenkins. Jenkins is where I discovered I wanted to work with children. And not just any
children, I wanted to work with special needs children and children who were only slightly behind. I
had a friend there who had a learning disability. She could function just as well as the rest of us in
the class; she just had a hard time grasping certain concepts. She was always picked on and decided
that she wanted to give up. I felt horrible. My heart was broken because

The King of the Savannah is Becoming Extinct
The king of the Savannah is slowly starting to become extinct. The African Lion becoming extinct
does not sound like such a big deal to some people here in the United States of America, but it
affects every one in Africa (and Asia) as a whole. These big animals are becoming extinct mostly
because of human involvement. If these animals were to become extinct it can cause a giant boom in
the herbivore population which can cause a drop in vegetation that is available for humans and the
animals that are in need. It is a chain reaction that effects everyone that is involved. Where as,
African Lions are at the head of the food chain; when the leader of the food chain is then knocked
off, it could gravely affect other important species that depend on the lion. But there are plenty of
alternative solutions that could be used to help these African Lions. Lions of certain ages help
ensure that the African lion can continue breeding. There are so many different options but there are
the fantastic three that have the best chance of saving these majestic creatures of the Sahara. Instead
of small fences, we can start raising money to create a large reserve so that the lions can roam freely
and comfortably as they please to. The African Lions would be far away from any harmful human
contact. And another way that would benefit the lions, is the basic education about them. Then more
people can have the basic knowledge about the different aspects of the lion, such as; how to deal

take the road less travelled. Life is a journey where you stumble and fall, but I elected to not become
a negative statistic. While in high school I decided to start my college education early in the pursuit
of bettering my mind and proving to my ancestors that their plight is being well–respected.
I attended Darton State College during my senior year which helped me earn college credit. In the
fall I will officially become a transfer student majoring in Visual and Performing Arts (Music
Instrumental and Voice) at the esteemed institution, Savannah State University (SSU). I would be

The Savannah Engineering, Inspection And Insurance Company
The course project text discussed the Savannah Engineering, Inspection and Insurance Company
(SEIIC) is one of the oldest American Inspection and Insurance companies. During many years, it
has been a well–recognized and administrated business. Lately, the Savannah Engineering,
Inspection and Insurance Company is decreasing its services. Fortunately, there are many strategies
that the SEIIC may apply to reestablish its services. Accordingly, it may renew its system by
updating the economic and financial; legal and political; social and cultural and global and
technological tendencies.
First, economic and financial changes will impact the SIIC future business. Since, global financial
trends have influenced human resource management in many areas such as "talent management,
hiring, outsourcing, investment strategies, wages, asset management and business development"
(Anderson, 2015); the SIIC may try to make some changes in these areas. Accordingly, organization
leaders work together to develop strategies to correctly manage their business. In fact, financial
leaders from the United States and other countries work with the setting of secular themes. The idea
is that the movement stays for more than one sequence. The secular themes involve the credit cycle
in different markets, the super cycle and the return to the United States purchaser (Anderson, 2016).
Equally the SIIC should contact international countries to explore new avenues.
Equally, economic is affected by the

How To Write An Autobiography Of Savannah
Early in the morning on the African savannah the sun begins to emerge from the horizon. The
morning sun continues to rise turning the sky a beautiful blood orange color. All types of animals
are called to attention by an African tribal chant; "Nants ingonyama bagithi baba!"
Groups of animals emerge from the thick fog walking across the grassy savannah. A flock of
flamingos fly across the still crystal water. Herds of antelope hop like frogs through the morning
mist. Meanwhile, a mother giraffe and her calf walk out from the shadows into the warm sunlight.
They stand on a grassy hill and notice below them groups of animals walking in the same direction.
They prance down the hill eager to join them. As they do this, a colonel of red ants walk gracefully
across a stick carrying large leaves. Below them, a large ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

up the hill loudly, their giant feet bringing up more and more thick clouds of dust with every step.
Meanwhile at pride rock, a tall flat ledge that towers over the savannah, hundreds of animals gather.
Zazu, a small blue bird with a large orange beak flies to the ledge. He bows with gratitude to
Mufasa, a strong powerful lion with a thick red mane. Emerging from the crowd of animals Rafiki,
an elderly baboon with white hair, slowly climbs up the ledge. He hugs Mufasa warmly. They walk
back to a cave where Mufasa's wife Surabhi is cradling a tiny lion cub. Mufasa and Surabhi rubs
their heads together showing their love for each other. Surabhi licks Simba's head gingerly waking
up the napping lion cub. Smiling, Rafiki bends over Simba shaking his walking cane which has two
large melons attached to it. Simba swats his paws at

Recommendation Letter To Savannah Salters
I am elated to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Savannah Salters, whom I consider
being a studious and ambitious young woman with a stirring spirit. I first met Ms. Salters fall 2012
when she was a student in the Health Sciences Program at Tennessee State University. I had the
pleasure of teaching Ms. Salters three classes, HLSC 3020 (Critical Issues in Health Care); HLSC
3100 (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) and HLSC 4300 (Epidemiology). The student
earned the following grades.................... HLSC 3020(A); HLSC 3100 (A) and HLSC 4300 (B).
Ms. Salters has beyond average verbal and written communication skills, and exhibits extraordinary
leadership and organizational qualities. She was very cooperative, worked well in team situations,
accepted criticism favorably, was willing to assist others and wished to learn more on health matters
and issues during class sessions. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

in group discussions and projects. Ms. Salters is genuinely concerned about the well–being of
others. The applicant served as a leader in several student organizations and was selected to study
abroad on more than one occasion.
It is my opinion Savannah would be a creditable candidate for an Occupational Therapy Program
Ms. Salters' aspiration is to gain a constructive profession within the health care work force. I
believe the applicant's professional motivation is sincere and if given the opportunity to participate

Introduction: Air pollution in modern society is becoming more and more of a pressing issue. I
became intrigued when I learned about the level of air quality in places such as Beijing, New York
City, and London. I was curious about the air quality in a smaller large scale city such as Savannah,
GA. Savannah is a large city but has a smaller population than Atlanta. I also thought about how the
air quality could improve after it rains.
PLANNING
Problem: Is the air quality in Savannah better right after it rains or before the rain occurs?
Hypothesis: If rain can remove soluble gases and particles from the atmosphere then the air quality
will improve after it rains.
Variables: Dependent Variable: air quality
Independent Variable: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Problem
The problem at hand here at Savannah State University is that our campus is full of trash and we
need to start recycling more, we spend a vast amount on money on energy when we do not have to.
By participating in these innovations the university will be able to save money that could possibly
go toward some much need renovations in Bowen–Smith and Bostic halls. The renovations to the
two oldest residential halls campus would help the living conditions more adequate to live in while
preserving historic buildings. The money could also go towards the funding for more faculty
members to help teach more courses.
Background
College campuses across the nation have taken action to participate in the Reduce, Recycle and
Reuse initiative to help make their campus a better and more environmentally safe. The program
encourages recycling in communities, schools and work place. Through this proposal I plan to
implement the program "Let's Go Green" at Savannah State University. This program would
challenge the faculty, students and the university itself to implement eco–friendly activities into day
to day operations or everyday lives.
Argument
With this proposal I hope the change the way that the university thinks about recycling, energy
reduction, and water conservation. Savannah State University should want to do these things
because they would be doing the environment a great deal. Doing these things would reduce the
schools pollution and waste levels. If the university was

Savannah state university visitation rules states that overnight visitors of the opposite sex are
prohibited. The visitation rules also state that visitation hours are from 12 a.m. to 11 p.m. during the
week and from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. during the weekends. When I first got to savannah state during
the week of welcome in the sessions that were held for the freshmen we were told that we are adults
now and it was time for us to start acting as responsible adults. We were also told that our parents
wouldn't be here to baby us, to tell us what to do, or what time to get up for classes. I understand
that the university has to have rules and regulations. However, what I don't agree with is how are we
supposed to act like adults when we are still being treated as children. I personally don't feel as
though we should have rules and limitations on who can come visit us, or what times they can come
and go. We should have an open campus as far as visitation goes, but to a certain extent. The reason

which is fine but if we didn't abide by those rules we would most likely be kicked out and that's how
our campus visitation rules should be regulated. Also if the school can trust the upper classmen

Growing as a girl with a passion to impart my community positively and the world at large, I sought
for a profession that is aimed towards my inner desire to best assist individuals in living
comfortably, help individuals who are at risk and less capable of assisting themselves, to best reach
this self actualization and fulfillment. In support my father got me my fist professional book "where
there is no doctor". With the high ranking of medicine and the value life showed to be, I believed
medicine was that one profession that could save as well as impart individuals in their various
societies and areas of priority 'health'. Therefore I aspired to study medicine, become the life
changing doctor, and assist as many as I can. Then came the tertiary institution where I obtained the
opportunity to study public health, that satisfaction was not gained, I tried to place my mind in it to
be able to divert my goals towards the area of study which didn't prove effective. I had it in mind to
change college due to a deficiency until a course mate mentioned Social work, I was totally ignorant
of the course and all it entailed but felt this drive to try it, without the understanding of the course
my first semester seemed weak, but as soon as orientation was properly delivered by practicing
professionals and senior colleagues, I got the grasp of what social is and felt complete as every plan
I had down for now and the future correlated with this profession.

How To Describe Savannah
WHY SAVANNAH? Imagine this: your sitting outside a quaint tavern, watching as a boat slowly
floats on the nearby river. A cool breeze brings whispers of jazz, swaying the trees decorated with
Spanish moss. Your waiter soon arrives, trailed by the smells of southern cooking. You eagerly
glance at your meal, noticing the fried green tomatoes are still sizzling! The fried green tomatoes
alone sound like heaven! This is Savannah, Georgia. A city rich in history, character, and fine
cuisine. If the south was a great pot of sweet tea, savannah would be the simple syrup. WHERE

All resources meet the 4–A's, which include accessible, acceptability, affordability, and availability.
Due to the increased amount of homelessness within Savannah, the limits of availability are usually
filled to capacity, therefore leaving people on the street. This overflow is a likely culprit for the
small group observed during the window survey. Furthermore, the advertising of available resources
does not meet the needs of those who do not have access to television, radio, newspaper, or internet.
Regardless, of the advertisement, within the community there are many resources for those in need.
There are locations and specific times when the homeless can shower and do laundry at local
churches. Also, there are food stamps or soup kitchens available to people throughout the day. There
are also assistance programs within medical practices that cover healthcare, prescription assistance,

After lengthy conversation, I found that my initially interpretation of this piece was closer than I
thought. To start off, Horn confirmed that this piece is considered a painting, even though it does
utilize certain sculptural elements. Her main inspiration for this piece was stained glass windows
seen in large cathedrals, which is where she drew her color scheme. "Until I Am Whole," deals
specifically with spirituality being a layered experience; to represent this idea, Savannah painted
layers on top of each other. The bottom–most layer consists of a floral motif, which is where the red
and yellow tones originate. Horn then over–painted the floral pattern with many thin lines of darker
blue to create the feeling of light emanating from within. The build up of paint forces viewers to
reach through the layers in order to see the light. Savannah Horn wanted to force the viewers to
reach through the layers just as one is forced to sift through knowledge and practice in order to
glimpse at the truth of God. When I initially viewed this painting that was my first reaction! I saw
light beaming through the window, signifying the search and hope for God or the truth. At this point,
my interpretation of "Until I Am Whole" is comparable with the artist's

October 11 was a picture perfect fall day; it was the first beautiful day I had seen in months it
seemed. After losing my husband, the depression and the thought of raising my little girl alone were

beautiful baby girl, Savannah Grace. Savannah was born 4 weeks early at 34 weeks into my

that my depression caused Savannah to be born prematurely (Santrock, 2013). She had and APGAR

Then around a month later at 7 months she said her first word. We were at my mother's house when

talkative because she was always trying to say new words and talk to me. She was an early walker
and took her first steps around 9 months and was walking on her own around 13 months. Savannah
had an easy temperament; she did, however, show inhibition to the unfamiliar, starting around 8
months, which is when a child starts to show shyness around strangers or peers (Santrock, 2013).
Savannah also displayed a secure attachment, secure attachment in a recent study was linked to high
self–esteem and self–confidence (Santrock, 2013). I found that Savannah would often begin to fuss
when I left the room but as soon as I returned she would come over to me and smile at me then
continue to play with her toys (Santrock, 2013). The temperament and attachment have not been
linked to any disabilities. The temperament and attachment seem to make sense because Savannah
and I spend a lot of time together so she is more attached to me and, therefore, feels more secure. In
order to help develop a secure attachment a parent should keep a positive attitude continuously
throughout the child's life. When I am at work Savannah spends her time with her grandmother

So breeds where developed which lacks these guard hairs Devon/Cornish Rex or the hairless Sphynx. These breeds are NOT hypoallergenic or allergen– free because It is not the hair which causes the allergic reaction. The real culprit appears to be a glycoprotein, Fel d1 which is secreted by the sebaceous glands and is the major cat allergen. This allergen is found in the cat fur, pelt, saliva, serum, urine, mucous, salivary glands, and hair roots of the cat. The main sources of the allergen, however, are the skin and saliva. I stood in the middle of the drive way with a puzzled face, thinking, "why is she rebelling against us?" I could feel the intense failure my mother was feeling inside as she wondered where she went wrong. My mother raised my siblings and I to be strong, independent and hardworking. Thus decision Savannah made was very confusing us. My mom was very concerned about Savannah's actions because she did not have a job, a vehicle, or money to support herself. I say this, because I am now the "older sister" my sister looks up to. Also education has always been extremely important to me. When Savannah dropped out of school, her decision crushed me, as well as the family. I became more concerned about the view my little sister may feel towards schooling. I wanted her to understand she needed to graduate high school and maybe consider furthering her education to a university. Even if she does not go to college immediately, she could still better herself if she at least has her high school diploma as a starting point. My sisters leaving made me do the impossible at a young age. I became the mature, stabled adult that I thought, she would be. In essence, her absence made me a better older sister and daughter. The Trustees impacted the Georgian society when they imposed their strict laws. They had imposed these laws as a way to repair the issues that they saw in England, and their objective was to make Georgia a "worker's paradise" and model colony. By outlawing rum, slaves, land ownership, and lawyers, the Trustees had created temporary peace. However, people in the colony, referred to as malcontents, became unhappy with these regulations, specifically the outlawing of land ownership, slaves, and rum. Sir James Wright was the third Royal Governor that Georgia had had. The first, Captain John Reynolds, attempted to rule Georgia as if it was a navy ship (since he was a former naval officer). He was extremely unpopular and confrontational, thus he was replaced by the king after only three years. The second Royal Governor, Henry Ellis, was a previous explorer who was popular among Indians, legislature members, and colonists because of his genuine concern for the colony. Unfortunately, after only a few years he had to resign his post because of extreme heat and humidity coupled with his poor state of health. Sir James Wright was the happy medium between the two former governors. He was the most popular and successful of all the governors, and he built a very good relationship with the colonial legislature, opened millions of acres for the public to settle, and he negotiated helpful treaties with Native Americans. Under the leadership of James Wright, Georgia prospered, growing faster than any other North American colony. He had an overall positive effect on the society of the colony. Because he negiotiated treaties with Native Americans, society was much safer, for there were mostl likely few Indian attacks on settlers and relations between the two groups were far better. Also, my mother who I love dearly has been handicapped my entire life and the first couple of years of my life was wheel chair bound. Because of these two factors, I would mimic much of my behavior in my early years after her. For example, I did not walk until I was two years. This caused doctors and my mother to be concerned about my development. So for the first four years of my life, I went to a number of therapists. At the age of two, I started school at Urban Christian Academy here in Savannah Ga. My teachers there were awesome. They worked with me and made sure I was nurtured and taught everything I needed to know. After completing the elementary grades, I went to Bible Baptist day school as a seventh grader. The African Lion becoming extinct does not sound like such a big deal to some people here in the United States of America, but it affects every one in Africa (and Asia) as a whole. These big animals are becoming extinct mostly because of human involvement. If these animals were to become extinct it can cause a giant boom in the herbivore population which can cause a drop in vegetation that is available for humans and the animals that are in need. It is a chain reaction that effects everyone that is involved. Where as, African Lions are at the head of the food chain; when the leader of the food chain is then knocked off, it could gravely affect other important species that depend on the lion. But there are plenty of alternative solutions that could be used to help these African Lions. Lions of certain ages help ensure that the African lion can continue breeding. There are so many different options but there are the fantastic three that have the best chance of saving these majestic creatures of the Sahara. Instead of small fences, we can start raising money to create a large reserve so that the lions can roam freely and comfortably as they please to. The African Lions would be far away from any harmful human contact. And another way that would benefit the lions, is the basic education about them. Due to the increased amount of homelessness within Savannah, the limits of availability are usually filled to capacity, therefore leaving people on the street. This overflow is a likely culprit for the small group observed during the window survey. Furthermore, the advertising of available resources does not meet the needs of those who do not have access to television, radio, newspaper, or internet. Regardless, of the advertisement, within the community there are many resources for those in need. There are locations and specific times when the homeless can shower and do laundry at local churches. Also, there are food stamps or soup kitchens available to people throughout the day. There are also assistance programs within medical practices that cover healthcare, prescription assistance, counseling, mental health, and substance abuse treatment. A noted gap within the healthcare coverage, is the fact that often those in need must show proof of homelessness. Obtaining proof of homelessness may be difficult. That fact leads the likelihood of many homeless people being refused ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Savannah Guelda Case Study I have had the pleasure of teaching Savannah Guelda in class for three years. As an 8th grader, she chose to arrive to school an hour early in order to take Advanced Geometry at the high school. Last year, she was in my Pre–Calculus class as a sophomore, and currently she is in my AP Calculus class as a junior. Savannah's greatest academic strength is her persistence. She will always continue to struggle through the most challenging problems to determine the solution. I can often find her arriving at school early to ask me a question or clarify something that she has worked on. Not only satisfied with the answer, she wants to accomplish the deeper understanding of what she is learning in mathematics. As a personable student with her peers and teachers, people enjoy having Savannah around them. She ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Academy is composed of the top thirty students in our school, but despite being surrounded my other leaders, Savannah takes the initiative to organize the group or present her ideas. During our first meeting, I explained that as their sponsor my job was faciliated by not lead discussions and decisions. As the majority of the students hesitated, Savannah stood up and took charge of the first activity. I am confident that Savannah will bring her leadership ability and determination to the Governor's Scholar Program. Savannah still has a refreshing wide–eyed quality about her. As an enthusiastic learner, Savannah always challenges herself to do more by committing that extra effort. Her enthusiasm and energy have been matched over the years with a discipline that is remarkable for someone her age. She is committed to learning; turning in assignments early, questioning the process behind her solutions, and continuing to try until she has mastered the material. As her teacher, I truly enjoy her spirit and enthusiasm. I highly recommend her for the Governor's Scholar ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Savannah Fire Management Case Study When the Savannah Fire department is paged for a call they all run to get suited up for the call. If they happen to be at a station where a tiller truck (ladder truck) is used, then 2 people have to drive it. There is a person driving in the front of the truck and one in the back basically because the truck is so long. The whole operation requires a great deal of teamwork. If the person in the back is turning left and the one in the front is turning right then they will likely have an accident or at the very least not go the correct direction. Communication is vital in any relationship especially the one I was just referring to. • 38. Savannah Horn To fully understand Savannah Horn's piece "Until I Am Whole," I needed to conduct some research on Savannah as an artist, the exhibition of Begotten, and the specific piece itself. After searching the Internet for information on Horn and her work, I was able to create an educated list of the questions I wish I could ask her. Thanks to today's social media use, I was able to get in touch with renowned Savannah Horn. To my luck, she was one of the kindest artists I've met and was willing to answer any and all of my questions regarding her work. The interview I conducted with Savannah was crucial in helping me understand and appreciate the piece "Until I Am Whole." To begin the research, I focused on Savannah's identity as a student and an artist. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After lengthy conversation, I found that my initially interpretation of this piece was closer than I thought. To start off, Horn confirmed that this piece is considered a painting, even though it does utilize certain sculptural elements. Her main inspiration for this piece was stained glass windows seen in large cathedrals, which is where she drew her color scheme. "Until I Am Whole," deals specifically with spirituality being a layered experience; to represent this idea, Savannah painted layers on top of each other. The bottom–most layer consists of a floral motif, which is where the red and yellow tones originate. Horn then over–painted the floral pattern with many thin lines of darker blue to create the feeling of light emanating from within. The build up of paint forces viewers to reach through the layers in order to see the light. Savannah Horn wanted to force the viewers to reach through the layers just as one is forced to sift through knowledge and practice in order to glimpse at the truth of God. When I initially viewed this painting that was my first reaction! I saw light beaming through the window, signifying the search and hope for God or the truth. At this point, my interpretation of "Until I Am Whole" is comparable with the artist's ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 40. Savannah Grace Essay October 11 was a picture perfect fall day; it was the first beautiful day I had seen in months it seemed. After losing my husband, the depression and the thought of raising my little girl alone were too much to bare. This day however, was bright and promising, this was the day, that I had my beautiful baby girl, Savannah Grace. Savannah was born 4 weeks early at 34 weeks into my pregnancy. She weighed 5 pounds 7 ounces and was 18 inches long. Savannah's doctors believed that my depression caused Savannah to be born prematurely (Santrock, 2013). She had and APGAR score of 8 because her respiration and grimace were low. In normal respiration scores, the baby's breathing would be regular and they would be crying but Savannah's respiration was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Then around a month later at 7 months she said her first word. We were at my mother's house when she said "mama", I have never been so proud in my life. After that, I knew she was going to be talkative because she was always trying to say new words and talk to me. She was an early walker and took her first steps around 9 months and was walking on her own around 13 months. Savannah had an easy temperament; she did, however, show inhibition to the unfamiliar, starting around 8 months, which is when a child starts to show shyness around strangers or peers (Santrock, 2013). Savannah also displayed a secure attachment, secure attachment in a recent study was linked to high self–esteem and self–confidence (Santrock, 2013). I found that Savannah would often begin to fuss when I left the room but as soon as I returned she would come over to me and smile at me then continue to play with her toys (Santrock, 2013). The temperament and attachment have not been linked to any disabilities. The temperament and attachment seem to make sense because Savannah and I spend a lot of time together so she is more attached to me and, therefore, feels more secure. In order to help develop a secure attachment a parent should keep a positive attitude continuously throughout the child's life. When I am at work Savannah spends her time with her grandmother rather than at daycare. I try to limit her time ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
