18. Company Problem
• Due to the financial crisis the company took
serious hit as the existing customers included
leading commercial banks in the US & Europe.
• Now the company wants to rightsize its employees
by about 1200 FTEs (Full Time Employees) across
the three centres.
19. Company’s Action Plan
• Avoid retrenchment unless there are no other
alternatives.
• Plan for migration of employees to other business
areas.
• Consider salary cost implications, while planning
man power movement
• Constitute a committee consisting off site
directors and heads of HR & Finance to work on
various alternatives to address the situation and
give recommendations with in 15 days
20. Committee’s Recommendations
• Classify the affective employees into three broad
categories i.e. High Performers , Good Performers &
Bad Performers.
• Place the bad performers on notice for 2 months for
retrenchment.
• Identify the opportunities in other areas i.e., the
telecom and ISP verticals, & redeploy all the high
performers and some of the good performers
• Explore the option to redeploy the remaining good
performers in domestic operations with reduced pay
through a fresh temporary contract.
