referred as MANPOWER.
MANPOWER PLANNING is also called “HUMAN RESOURCE PLANNING”.
It not only focus on filling the vacant positions, but also emphasize on hiring the right
kind and right no. of people for the required job.

• The company prefers both the sources of recruitment. (55%)
• Reference check is the integral part of the recruitment process in the company.
• Salary factors attracts experienced people more as compared to career growth.
• Company uses various sources of recruitment such as:
 Employee referral- 22%
 Contractors – 26%
 Job fairs – 5%
 Campus recruitment – 8%
• To contact the candidates for selection procedure telephone calls (52%) and mails (48%)
are used but posts are not used.
• Panel interviews are preferred (64%)

FINDINGS
RECOMMENDATION
• Campus recruitment is not used much in Lucas TVS. Hence it can be used as a source of
recruitment.
• There are large number of temporary employees working in the company, it could be
reduced.
• As employee referral is an important source of recruitment in the company, then there
could be the chances of biasness , Hence transparency should be maintained.
CONCLUSION
“ Human resources can neither be created nor be purchased, it can only be
preserved”
“ My success walks out of the office everyday at 6”
• Shows that manpower plays an important role.
• Effective manpower planning is the basis for effective recruitment and selection.
• Internal as well as external sources of recruitment, both have their own merits and
demerits.
Every organisation tailors its recruitment and selection procedure according to their working
environment.

(55%) • Reference check is the integral part of the recruitment process in the company. • Salary factors attracts experienced people more as compared to career growth. • Company uses various sources of recruitment such as:  Employee referral- 22%  Contractors – 26%  Job fairs – 5%  Campus recruitment – 8% • To contact the candidates for selection procedure telephone calls (52%) and mails (48%) are used but posts are not used. • Panel interviews are preferred (64%) 2 FINDINGS
  • 22. RECOMMENDATION • Campus recruitment is not used much in Lucas TVS. Hence it can be used as a source of recruitment. • There are large number of temporary employees working in the company, it could be reduced. • As employee referral is an important source of recruitment in the company, then there could be the chances of biasness , Hence transparency should be maintained.
  • 23. CONCLUSION “ Human resources can neither be created nor be purchased, it can only be preserved” “ My success walks out of the office everyday at 6” • Shows that manpower plays an important role. • Effective manpower planning is the basis for effective recruitment and selection. • Internal as well as external sources of recruitment, both have their own merits and demerits. Every organisation tailors its recruitment and selection procedure according to their working environment.
