3. New Birth
• John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily,
verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God.
• John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto
you, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,
he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
• John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto you, You must
be born again.
4. When a Child is born…..
• We take pictures
• Social Media
• Have baby showers
• Diaper parties
• Cards are sent
• Spend Money!
• Excitement
• We remember the
occasion and
celebrate it yearly!
5. Why excitement over new birth?
• 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man
be in Christ, he is a new creature: old
things are passed away; behold, all things
are become new.
• Galatians 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither
circumcision availeth any thing, nor
uncircumcision, but a new creature.
6. Why excitement over new birth?
• Because prayers are answered and
salvation in our possession!
• 1 Samuel 2:1 And Hannah prayed, and
said, My heart rejoices in the LORD, my
horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth
boasts over my enemies; because I
rejoice in your salvation.
7. Why excitement over new birth?
• Now apart of the kingdom!
• 1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the
unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom
of God? Be not deceived: neither
fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers,
nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves
with mankind,
8. Why excitement over new birth?
• 1 Corinthians 6:10 Nor thieves, nor
covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor
extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of
God.
• 1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of
you: but you are washed, but you are
sanctified, but you are justified in the name
of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our
God.
9. Remember the excitement
• Acts 8:26f------turn with me please
• Acts 8:39 And when they were come up
out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord
caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw
him no more: and he went on his way
rejoicing.
10. Share the excitement
• John 1:33-42
• John 1:41 He first found his own brother
Simon, and said unto him, We have found
the Messiah, which is, being interpreted,
the Christ.
11. Summary
1. A new birth is essential if we are to please
GOD!
2. Our conversion is a point in time when
everything in our life changed….so we
should remember it!
3. We should share our joy with others just like
we do when we have a child.
