3. What is evangelism
• Evangelism is the announcement,
proclamation, and/or preaching of the
gospel, the good news about Jesus Christ.

hope and love.
• Peace knowing that your sins are forgiven upon
obedience to the gospel message and that He will

forgiveness of sins!

• Acts 24:25 And as he reasonedreasoned of
righteousness, and self-control, and the
judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and
answered, Go thy way for this time; and when
I have a convenient season, I will call thee
unto me.
8. Evangelism defined
• The English word “evangelism” comes from the
Greek word euaggelion. Most literally translated in
the noun form, euaggelion means: “gospel” or “good
news.” In the verb form (euaggelizesthai), the
meaning of the word changes slightly to “announce”
or “bring good news.”
• The Greek word in its various forms appears fifty-
five times in the New Testament. In addition to the
before-mentioned translations, the Greek word is
also translated as “preach.”

evangelism!

• Isaiah 50:4 The Lord GOD has given me the
tongue of the learned, that I should know how

12. What if we don’t go?
Darkness, blindness, Spiritual death!
• Matthew 4:15 The land of Zabulon, and the
land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea,
beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
• Matthew 4:16 The people which sat in
darkness saw great light; and to them which
sat in the region and shadow of death light is
sprung up.
13. What if we don’t go?
Darkness, blindness, Spiritual death!
• Luke 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man,
having put his hand to the plow, and looking
back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
• We must be focused on building the kingdom
because our mission is to seek and save that
which is lost!
• Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to
seek and to save that which was lost.

• Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men
once to die, but after this the judgment:
• Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to
bear the sins of many; and unto them that look
for him shall he appear the second time without
sin unto salvation.

• Acts 5:20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the

• 2 Timothy 2:2 And the things that you have heard

faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with

• Luke 20:38 For he is not a God of the dead,
but of the living: for all live unto him.

yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive
unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
• Romans 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto
the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the
Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are
the Lord's.

• Romans 13:12 The night is far spent, and
the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off
the works of darkness, and let us put on
the armor of light.

kingdom of God.
