3. Belief
• Acts 19:2 He said unto them, Received
you the Holy Spirit when you believed?
And they said unto him, We have not so
much as heard whether there be any Holy
Spirit.
• Acts 19:3 And he said unto them, Unto
what then were you baptized? And they
said, Unto John's baptism.
4. Belief and baptism
• Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go
you into all the world, and preach the
gospel to every creature.
• Mark 16:16 He that believes and isbelieves and is
baptized shall be savedbaptized shall be saved; but he that
believes not shall be condemned.
5. Belief is essential
• John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in
him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
• John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world
to condemn the world; but that the world through
him might be saved.
• John 3:18 He that believes on him is not
condemned: but he that believes not ishe that believes not is
condemned alreadycondemned already, because he has not believed
in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
6. Faith and baptismbaptism
• Galatians 3:26 For you are all the children
of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
• Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as
have been baptized into Christbaptized into Christ have put
on Christ.
7. Holy Spirit
• Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon
them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they
spoke with tongues, and prophesied.
• Acts 8:18 And when Simon saw that through laying
on of the apostles' hands the Holy Spirit was given,
he offered them money,
• Acts 8:19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on
whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy
Spirit.
