3. He sustains the universe
• 1 Samuel 2:8 He raises up the poor out of the dust,
and lifts up the beggar from the rubbish, to set them
among princes, and to make them inherit the throne
of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's,
and he has set the world upon them.
• 2 Kings 19:15 And Hezekiah prayed before the
LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, who dwells
between the cherubim, you are the God, even you
alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; you have
made heaven and earth.
4. He sustains the universe
• Job 9:8 Who alone spreads out the
heavens, and treads upon the waves of
the sea.
• Job 9:9 Who makes the Bear, Orion, and
Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.
• Orion is evening star which we know as
Venus

• Nehemiah 9:6 You, even you, are LORD
alone; you have made heaven, the heaven
of heavens, with all their host, the earth,
and all things that are therein, the seas,
and all that is therein, and you preserve
them all; and the host of heaven worships
you.

• Job 10:12 You have granted me life and
favor, and your care has preserved my
spirit.
• Job 26:7 He stretches out the north over
the empty place, and hangs the earth
upon nothing.

• Job 26:8 He binds up the waters in his thick
clouds; and the cloud is not torn under them.
• Job 26:9 He holds back the face of his throne,
and spreads his cloud upon it.
• Job 26:10 He has drawn a circle on the waters
at the boundary where the day and night come
together.

• Psalms 119:10 With my whole heart have I
sought thee: O let me not wander from thy
commandments.
• Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine
heart, that I might not sin against thee.
• Psalms 119:116 Uphold me according unto
thy word, that I may live: and let me not be
ashamed of my hope.
9. He sustains me through the word!
• Psalms 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right,
rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD
is pure, enlightening the eyes.
• Psalms 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean,
enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are
true and righteous altogether.
• Psalms 19:10 More to be desired are they than
gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than
honey and the honeycomb.
10. He sustains me through the word!
• Isaiah 40:7 The grass withereth, the
flower fadeth: because the spirit of the
LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people
is grass.
• Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the
flower fadeth: but the word of our God
shall stand for ever.
11. He sustains me through the word!
• 1 Peter 1:24 For all flesh is as grass, and all
the glory of man as the flower of grass. The
grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth
away:
• 1 Peter 1:25 But the word of the Lord
endureth for ever. And this is the
word which by the gospel is
preached unto you.
13. Our High Priest
• Hebrews 2:17 Therefore in all things it
behoved him to be made like unto his
brethren, that he might be a merciful and
faithful high priest in things pertaining to God,
to make reconciliation for the sins of the
people.
• Hebrews 2:18 For in that he himself has
suffered being tempted, he is able to help
them that are tempted.
14. Our Great High Priest
• Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren,
partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the
Apostle and High Priest of our profession,
Christ Jesus;
• Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a
great high priest, that is passed into the
heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold
fast our profession.
15. Our Great High Priest
• Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest
which cannot be touched with the feeling of
our infirmities; but was in all points tempted
like as we are, yet without sin.
• Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly
unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain
mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

16. Jesus our Mediator
• 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and
one mediator between God and men, the
man Christ Jesus;
• Hebrews 8:6 But now has he obtained a
more excellent ministry, by how much also
he is the mediator of a better covenant,
which was established upon better
promises.
17. Jesus our Mediator
• Hebrews 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator
of the new testament, that by means of death, for
the redemption of the transgressions that were
under the first testament, they which are called
might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
• Hebrews 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the
new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that
speaks better things than that of Abel.
18. Jesus our Advocate
• 1 John 2:1 My little children, these things
write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any
man sin, we have an advocate with the
Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
• Called to ones side, called to ones aid!
• Advocate is means comforter in John
14:16, 26 and 15:26

• One who pleads the cause with one.
