Holy Cross National Park is located in central Poland and covers the highest ridge of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. The park contains two of the highest peaks in the region, protects over 600 trees considered natural monuments, and is mostly forested with pine and beech trees. It is also home to the Basilica of the Holy Trinity and Holy Cross Relics, one of the oldest Polish sanctuaries located there, as well as legends about a pilgrim turned to stone as punishment for his pride.

5. Basilica of the Holy Trinity

The Basilica of Holy Cross,

6. The figure of the pilgrim, also known
as Emeric, there are many legends.
The most famous tells of a knight who came
to Nowa Słupia. Here praised their
pilgrimages and great piety.

on Łyścu, where he wanted to walk
