2. Abstract:
Thermometer is a temperature measuring instrument.
In this project, an Arduino based digital thermometer is designed
that can be used to monitor the temperature of room.
This can be achieved by the components that
• Arduino Uno
• LM35 Temperature Sensor
• 16X2 LCD Display
• Breadboard
• POT(103)
3. Objective:
The main objective of the Digital Thermometer project is to
measure the temperature inside a building where this device
installed.
Through this measurement and analysis of the data, we can
maintain and adjust the working of other appliances inside
the room like Air Conditioner etc.
Also the device can measure the temperature of the nearby
devices or materials when the sensor get closed with the
things.
4. Working Explanation:
A high precision digital thermometer is designed in this
project. It is constructed with simple components like
Arduino, LM35 temperature sensor and an LCD display.
The working of the circuit is very simple and is explained
below.
The temperature sensor i.e. LM35 continuously monitors the
room temperature and gives an analogue equivalent voltage
which is directly proportional to the temperature.
5. This analogue data is given to Arduino through A0. As per the
code written, the Arduino converts this analogue voltage value
to digital temperature readings. This value is displayed on the
LCD.
The rate of change of temperature capture can be programmed
in the code. The output displayed on the LCD is an accurate
reading of room temperature in centigrade.
9. Conclusion:
The Digital Thermometer that we made is working
properly with a good accuracy.
We can measure the room temperature as well as the
temperature of the nearby things.
