The Information Technology Services Project Management...
Definition of methodology
Project methodology provides the Information Technology Services project teams with group of rules to manage projects. Methodology is a tool
provider to make every one 's job easier, mainly who manages the project, which contains the description, steps and templates to various project
activities that require delivering successful projects. Project Management Methodology is a factually defined sequence of logically related practices,
methods and processes that determine how best to plan, develop and deliver a project throughout the continuous implementation process until the
completion. It is a scientifically–proven that systematic and disciplined approach project execution, design and completion of project. A methodology
provides a skeleton for describing every step in depth, so that a project manager will know what to do to deliver and implement the work according to
the budget, schedule and client specification.
Role of methodology in the Project Management
The primary challenge of project management is to achieve all the project goals within the given conditions. These requirements are usually described
in a user or project manual, which is created at the beginning of the development process of the project. The primary conditions are time, scope, budget
and quality. The secondary challenge is to optimize the allocation of necessary inputs given and integrate them to meet pre–defined objectives in the
project.
What is the waterfall model

Customer Service Project Plan
Currently, the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency is focusing on improving customer service from good to exceptional. A
project which can improve delivery of service has been laid out in this paper. To deliver a person–centered customer service, the goal of this project is
to bring several critical departments together by offering service catered to the customer's needs. For example, cash–aid, food, medical, child welfare,
child support, and adult protective services and probation all into one business hub. Currently, the county makes manual referrals or sends the customer
to separate departments without the ability to track these referrals or follow through to see if the customers received the benefits they were... Show more

Requirements and Limitations: Due to the size of the county and the number of staff that will be utilizing this system, database size may be
inadequate as a larger number of users are added, increasing the database size as well as the firewall will need to be evaluated at each stage. Further,
due to Federal and State laws that restrict the sharing of confidential information, such as criminal and medical records, strict guidelines will be
implemented to grant or deny access to staff to ensure the protection each individual's confidentiality. Staffing Management Plan (identify stakeholders

Project Management : A Unique Product Or Service
Web Project Management
A project is a temporary endeavour to create a unique product or service (Wikipedia contributors 2015). When this comes to IT we can define it as
software enhancement or new software product, hardware improvements or fine tuning any process involved in an IT industry which can save time,
money and avoid risk. Project management is the process and application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to different project activities so as
to deliver project with all requirements expected by customer or client on expected time (What is Project Management? | Project Management Institute,
2014). Some of the activities that are involved in project management are

Difference also lies between the expectation and situations that typically present. Main difficulty lies in web projects where client tend to change
project expectation and project manager need to adapt the changes and deliver if possible within actual time (Thomas–Shelford, J, Gregory–Remillard,
A, 2002). The main factors for any project management should be managing internal and external conflicts and providing motivation and leader ships
to team. Web Project manager should be with knowledge of every discipline so as to be familiar with his/her team expectations and client requirement.
The main challenges faced by any project manager are budget, scope, time, quality and to efficiently allocate resources and other inputs in order to
achieve targets (Thomas–Shelford, J, Gregory–Remillard, A, 2002).
There are many techniques used to manage all project activities some of them are:
пѓ The traditional approach
пѓ PRINCE2
пѓ Critical chain project management
пѓ Process–based management
пѓ Agile project management
пѓ Lean project management
пѓ Extreme project management
пѓ Benefits realization management (Wikipedia Contributors, 2015).
A traditional approach got a sequence of steps and cannot come back once done with sequence steps. Waterfall model is similar to this when we
discuss traditional approach in software industry (Winston W. Royce, 1970). There is no need for all the projects to follow all steps in sequence.
Some projects can skip some steps or can perform

Service Learning Project Summary
Kenneth had the opportunity to serve as chair of a service–learning project and plan the project for the last several weeks. Service–learning projects
provide college students with a new method of learning. Kenneth is very active in the community, but planning a project was new so his expectations
were low. His expectations changed once his service–learning team put all effort and dedication into the planning process. Kenneth found that serving
as the chair of a service–learning project takes analytical and communication skills, dedication, flexibility, firmness, understanding, and hard work. The
group discovered that service–learning projects take a great deal of effort and team work. The project strengthened, increased, and developed the

On average on 26% of Americans volunteer, this surprised me on how low this number truly was. I now understand why community service is
required for most classes, because without us kids out volunteering the numbers would be substantially lower. This proves to be true by a study
done by Debra Blum shows that hot spots for volunteer work is in college towns, such as Provo, Madison, Wisconsin and Iowa City, Iowa. To me
this is pointing out that people that have higher education are more likely to give back to their communities. This can be explained with certain
theories that will be broken down later in the essay along with other materials. While doing community service there were a few ideas or concepts
that came right out at me. The one that I noticed the most was conformity (page 473), this was most prominent in the high school setting. For an
example there was a group of kids and they wanted a pop, except one of the kids just wanted a water since he just got done playing a game. And all
of his "friend" started to bash on him for not getting a pop like all the others, this led to the kid giving in and getting a pop. In a way that got me
thinking about that kids personality traits (pg. 345), and how he conformed so easily to his friends opinions. I later went on to volunteering at a local
nursing home and that is when obedience (pg. 475) was most prominent. Everyone there was very responsive and willing to comply with whoever was
in charge and in my opinion obedience

Network Performance Quality Of Service Project Report
The aim of this project is to investigate and implement a standardised way to monitor and improve quality of service for a user with devices connected
to the internet of things. Although there are several papers referring to the need for this, any implementation has been on an ad–hoc bases for specific
devices/issues and not rolled out as a standard approach.
The approach this project is taking is to implement an algorithm which will monitor a network and work to improve its quality or service through
different protocols. It will not be specific to just one application and the end goal would be the algorithm working with all types of IoT devices and
handle a range of issues. 2.The Problem
Network performance Quality of Service (QoS) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is therefore interesting that this area remains to be unstandardized today.
The researcher in this paper proposes that the problem is responded to by a "QoS architecture based on IoT layered structure. This architecture sets
QoS agent in lower layers then transmits QoS requirements, trying to guarantee the consistency as well as effectively use the existing QoS mechanisms
in every layer."(Duan, Chen and Xing, 2011)
Other research suggests that the integration between IoT and other technologies such as Cloud Computing is "in its infantile phase and it has not
been extended to all application domains due to its inadequate quality of service architecture." (T, S and A, 2015) . We see here the lack of QoS in
the IoT also has an impact on the future and extendibility of the IoT. Within this area of QoS, which continues to be actively researched, there is still a
gap in any currently available solution. This project aims to contribute to this gap.
3.The Proposed Solution
The proposed solution is to develop a protocol, a set of rules, to monitor application performance and the real–time state of the network in the Internet
of Things (IoT). The objective of this ruleset is to achieve Quality of Service (QoS) from the network perspective and Quality of Experience (QoE)
from the user perspective. This ruleset will support a range of devices and applications in the IoT. There will also be consideration taken into

Research Project On Non Emergency Municipal Services
Rutgers University, State University of New Jersey School of Public Affairs and Administration To:Professor SRINIVAS YERRAMSETTI
From:Chunlu Xiao Date:Nov 9th, 2015 RE:Research Project on non–emergency municipal services offered through 311 1.Introduction More than half
of the world population now lives in urban areas, and the urban population is expected to increase to five billion by 2030 (United Nations Population
Fund). While rapid urbanization and urban growth continues, an increasing number of city governments are looking to the consolidation of municipal
services as one of the ways to make their cities more efficient, effective, transparent, and accountable. A 311 program is considered one particular
strategy for service integration. The 311 is a special telephone number supported in many communities in Canada and the United States. It can also be
considered as city–level service integration initiatives. The number provides quick and easy access to non–emergency municipal services and
information. 311 mainly have three big objectives. The first one as we mentioned before, they need to provide the public with quick, easy access to all
City government services and information while maintaining the highest possible level of customer service. Moreover, they help agencies improve
service delivery by allowing them to focus on their core missions and manage their workload efficiently. They also provide insight into ways to improve

How to Learn Process Improvement Projects for Customer Service Management
A commitment to providing quality customer service raises the competitive bar and is key to developing customer satisfaction and loyalty. According
to Entrepreneur.com, the connection between customer loyalty and increased revenue has been confirmed. Process improvement projects can help to
systematically identify, analyze and improve existing customer service management processes and thereby drive profitability.

Leaders can gain cooperation and buy–in from employees through clearly formulating and communicating the role of process improvement in an
organization's purpose and objectives.
Step 2
Choose a Strategy. There are a number of popular process improvement methods out there. Most process improvement techniques were created for the
manufacturing sector, but many of the methodologies have been adapted successfully to accommodate service based sectors as well. Examine each
methodology closely and take care to choose the model that would best serve your organization and industry.
Step 3
Organize the team that will be tasked with improving your company's current customer service management process. Special consideration should be
given to selecting the "right" team.
Step 4
Define current processes using the methods outlined by the process improvement strategy your organization has chosen. Map out the activities, actions
and decisions that occur during the customer service management process.
Step 5
Collect data. This data will be used as comparison data after the team–recommended process improvement activities are implemented.
Step 6
Identify weaknesses, root causes, and areas of improvement that occur in your current customer service management process.
Step 7
Develop a plan for implementing change based on your organizations customer service management objectives and test the changed process.

My Community Service Project
For my community service project I volunteered at a fundraiser that raised money for the circus arts program called El Tour De Sonrisas, a program
that is built for the youth in the community of Nicaragua. My engagement in this project has benefited me in ways that allowed me to grow the
prosperity as an individual such as new skill development and expansion of knowledge in providing service in our society. This project has also given
me the opportunity to be involved in my community while helping another community outside of the country.
The fundraiser sole purpose is to raise money for a program that is located in Nicaragua. This country is the second poorest in the western hemisphere,
where ninety percent of the population is poverty stricken due to the political and environmental barriers that keep them. This aims toward generational
poverty. For many of the youth living in these conditions there is a lack of attention towards these young individuals and this could potentially lead to
a bad life. Programs that provide the youth a safe place to develop as health community members is something that exists but are scarce – especially
living in a poor country. The specific program that I volunteered to raise money for a circus troupe at El Nido. The troupe teaches and mentors
children about the circus arts. Every summer, the troupe goes on a tour called, "El Tour de Las Sonrisas", where teachers and children perform for the
community, bringing smiles all around. The main

Selection Of The Service Learning Project
Entry One: Selection of the Service Learning Project
After some research and deliberation, I chose Habitat for Humanity (HFH, 2016) for my service project. There were several reasons that Habitat
for Humanity appealed to me. The first reason is that I consider HFH to be a worthy cause is that I appreciate that it's for a lower income family
that would not otherwise be able to afford a home. The facts that the beneficiaries are expected to help build their home or other HFH homes with
sweat equity, they'll pay a mortgage, combined with the way it's set up so they won't be able to just sell as a short term flip, gives me the impression
that it's not a freebie entitlement program, but a program that promotes responsibility with some life changing results.
I also consider that working on a construction project plays into my strengths. Even though I haven't been hired specifically as a construction worker
since my teen years when pouring concrete every summer, some of my strengths come from my previous education and work as an electro–mechanical
technician along with the all of the construction projects I've completed over the years on the farm and for home improvements which have included
electrical, and plumbing when I've remodeled and added additions and buildings.
Another thing I liked about HFH is that it is a Christian ministry. With so much of the world and people within our country judging Christians and their
values in a poor light, I feel that it's important to project

Christian Service Project
Approaching the Christian Service Project my junior year, my project is already picked out. The catholic social teaching actually had a hand in helping
me pick out my project. This project is through the church of St. Vincent de Paul and is the Adopt–A–Family program at Christmas. God created
human beings to be in loving communion with another and God which is what this program helps to accomplish. The Paschal Mystery taught that we
need to be holy people and what it means to be a holy person. This has taught me how much we are to love God, others, and all of creation, which I
do. I believe that the Adopt–A–Family project is a way to show God how much I love him by loving and supporting his creation. This project is all
about helping less fortunate parents ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Calls of the Church to be the light of the world are through good examples and good deeds. Kindness is a simple way to make the world a brighter
place which is something we learned in class this year. During all 10 years I have done this project, the one thing that always stays the same is that
the families are so appreciative and happy to see how much we help and that smiles are always contagious. This organization is the perfect way to
share our God–given gifts to help others which is what the Church calls for. The Catholic Social Teaching taught me the morals of which God
created human beings to have. God created human beings to be in a loving, harmonious relationship with one another and himself. This principle is
the basis of my entire decision for my Christian Service Project idea. The fact that God wanted us to be loving down to the very core inspired me to
show others that their neighbors are kind by helping them provide for their families. This project is truly one of my favorite things about the Church,
in that it organizes the most beautiful ways to be social and give

Public Service Announcement Project
Sometimes when you put off doing something you get hurt. I learned this while doing a project in my eighth grade English class. We were assigned a
Public Service Announcement project during the last weeks of school. Everyone was required to choose from a list of topics for their public service
announcement. Our topic was on what people can do to save the environment. We made the project with a mixture of photos from the internet and
photos we personally captured. Then, we added music and the project would be complete once we recorded. Two–thirds of the way done with our
project, my group decided to slow down our pace. We stopped the project altogether and we remembered the assignment once our teacher reminded us.
She told us that it was scheduled

"Service–learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning
experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities" (Learn and Serve America National Service–Learning Clearinghouse). This
assignment gave students the opportunity to go outside of their comfort zone, which is typically the classroom and see what the "real world" is like.
As Gandhi would say "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others" (Gandhi). I believe that this project really allowed us

The Service-Learning Project Analysis
For the service–learning project I decided to go to the kid's club "Zuvedra" and during this time I have discovered several new things about myself. I
have never thought that at the age of 20 I will behave in the same manner as kids act at the age of 8–10 years. I was playing card game such as Dixit
with children of different ages and, after several games, we already knew who and in what way is thinking. In addition, during the project, after
two days of practice, I have learned how to play a table football and started to play at the same level as "professionals" with several mouths of
experience. I really was not expecting that I will enjoy playing with kids so much. Nonetheless, this became an additional proof that I am open for
the new experience. All in all, every time I went there I was enjoying every activity the same way as Buddhists worldview suggests people to value
every moment and be happy.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I was enjoying communication with children because they were so willing to share their knowledge and to simply tell about interests. Once, the
one girl, who was one of the most active speakers, told that she is a hockey player in a mixed team. A very small and skinny nine years girl is a
forward in hockey team! In addition, she also said that there are only two girls in her team and the second girl is a goalkeeper. My reaction was like:
"Wow, that is something totally new and unexpected for me," and that showed me that I reallywant to know these kids better. Unconsciously I still had
a kind of stereotype even if I try to follow the Buddhists approach – to perceive the new information according to open–mind principle – however, this
became an additional experience in my knowledge–box. So sometimes the discovery could be totally unexpected but it still becomes even more
valuable than expected

On 27th July 2013, I embark on my second volunteer service project with EarthCorps to help with the restoration of the forested parklands at Camp

the invasive species of Himalayan Blackberry.
Each year, EarthCorps leads thousands of volunteers in environmental service projects in Western Washington. They work with schools, businesses,

As these seeds start to germinate on the forest floor and grow, they are a threat to the native plant species as they compete against them for nutrients and
sunlight. In the case of the English Ivy, they grow on the barks of the native deciduous trees, absorbing nutrients and sunlight, which were meant for
the growth of the native trees. Over time, the trees fall behind in the competition for nutrients and sunlight, causing them to weaken and die. The thorn
on the stems of the Himalayan Blackberry also prevents wildlife from easy access through the forest floor and hence denying them entry to areas
where food for the animals is available.
As such, our main goal for the day was to clear out as many invasive Himalayan Blackberries as possible. This would allow a more sustainable
environment for our native plant and animal species to thrive and preserve the ecosystem that we once had. Tools such as shovels and garden shears
were provided to get down to the root of the Himalayan Blackberry and to dig them out. This was a tedious process for many new volunteers who
didn't know what to expect and were constantly being pricked by the thorns of the Himalayan Blackberry. As the saying goes " once bitten, twice

Service Learning Project Hospitals are a great way for a medical student to serve the community as well as gain valuable experience in their future
field. For this reason, I have spent around forty hours from the end of the summer up until now volunteering at HonorHealth hospital. I volunteered
as a transporter, what this means is that I move equipment, medical documents and lab samples around the hospital. I also help discharge patients
by pushing them in a wheelchair to their car. Through this experience I was able to make life easier on people who were vulnerable and trying to
recover as well as the busy staff member who treated them. I had many interactions with people and by from this I have a better understanding of
impact my service had. I will be discussing: How psychology can explain social interaction, how outside factors can influence a person 's sense of self,
how behaviors and situations can help you understand a person, the importance of communication as well as focus, and the environment shapes the

Project Management : Building A Unique Product, Service,...
Project management matters because it is a way to control spending and improve project results. It may be a way to reduce risks, cut costs and
improved success rates. Project management across the organization helps create a strategic value that gives companies an edge on their competitors.
Being able to deliver projects on time and within budget often determines whether a company will get the next job or not.
Projects have been around since beginning of time. Even a life cycle of a living being is a project on its own. Let us break down project management in
order to demonstrate the impact project management has within organizations.
What is a project? "A project is "a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result" (Kloppenborg, 2015, p.4).
Management is defined as the controlling and making decisions. Thus, "project management is "the application of knowledge, skills, tools and
techniques to project activities to meet project requirements" (Kloppenborg, 2015, p.4). "All work can be described as fitting into one of two types:
projects or operations" (Kloppenborg, 2015, p.5). Projects are temporary and no two projects are alike. Operations are the happenings on a daily basis
that keep the business going.
In order to get a project going, a project manager should be appointed/hired. A "project manager is to organize and engage relevant content and
expertise, necessary in the course of completing objectives and tasks in the planned timeframe,

The Importance Of A Service-Learning Project
A service–learning project is designed to have some kind of lasting effect on a community. Nursing schools have begun encouraging students to do
service–learning project in order to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree or simply a BSN. These projects can range from teaching a class to
helping future nursing students. Regardless of what is chosen, the nursing students in my class have started to make an impact on the community. This
paper is directed towards talking about my own service–learning project. To begin, there were several reasons on why I decided on this
service–learning project. What I ended up doing, was myself along with three other students wrote and set–up a simulation experience for the junior
cohort for their fundamentals

Service Learning Project Experience
Prior to working on the service learning project, I had to pass the basic income tax course on the IRS website which required a lot of reading. I failed
the first attempt so I had to re–read the basic tax course again. I finally passed and was ready for my experience in the service learning project
I participate in the service learning project on March 3 and March 31. On March 3, I experience working on the service learning project for the first
time. It took me a while to setup because of problems with the tablet. The first client was a man who was married with 6 kids ranging from 2 years
old to 14 years old. When I started his tax return, he had tax forms and tax records from last year. When I ask him do he have a Turbo Tax account,
he said yes but then he started to give me all his paperwork because last year he had AARP Foundation Tax Aide complete his tax return which
AARP does free tax returns on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Since this was my first time doing taxes for someone else besides my family members,
I was nervous. This is when I realize that he was for AARP tax workshop. I reconfirm with him that I can complete his taxes. I had to enter all of his
and the other family members of seven information in Turbo Tax. At first he was confused and since I was having tablet problems which cause me to
enter information several times. After about 20 minutes, I was process his tax return quicker and he had more confidence in me. Plus he did not have

Service Learning Project
Throughout the experience of participating in a whole–class service learning project, the emphasis was always placed upon teamwork. As a future
educator, the ways in which we were able to come together and meet a community need was truly a humbling experience. The entire project was
thoughtfully organized. This type of professionalism is what I want to embody.
What happened?
As a group decision, our class decided the community lacked "A Little Free Library." What better way to bond people together than by a "take a
book, return a book" free book exchange? This was special because the project connected "once" strangers together for a good cause.
What did I do?
I was placed on the decoration team which was responsible for making sure the wooden box was water tight for preservation purposes, getting "LMU"
letters to paint to personalize our library, and paint the wooden box to match the business where the library would be located.
What did I feel?

I could not help but think about how I could integrate this project into my student's academic curriculum. The students would be able to think, write,
and discuss on how they felt and what they did to contribute to the success of a community–based project. Students will hopefully understand how
education reaches far beyond the classroom and will be able to hopefully one day become a life–long volunteer for their own

A Project Manager At Andres Construction Services
Mr. Cody Whittle is a project manager at Andres Construction Services, L.L.C. in Dallas, Texas. On Wednesday, April 6, 2016, Mr. Whittle spoke to all
sections of the Construction Project Planning course to explain the purpose of scheduling in commercial construction. Andres Construction Services is
a family–owned construction company which employs about one hundred employees. The company focuses on negotiated work on multi–family
apartments, retirement communities, adaptive re–use complexes, private schools and universities, office buildings, and churches. During Mr. Whittle's
lecture, he focused on a handful of projects Andres Construction has worked on in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. These buildings include the SO.7 Shops
and Lofts, The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The same is true for construction scheduling; the schedule, similar to a game plan, shows where you are and where you are going. Mr. Whittle also
compared scheduling to a set of dominos. In this metaphor, each domino refers to an individual task in the schedule. Mr. Whittle explained that until
the tape and float "domino" falls, you cannot paint. Items in the schedule that are dependent on a previous activity must "fall" in a sequential order in
order for the schedule to be an effective tool. Mr. Whittle also stressed the importance of breaking the schedule up into bite–sized pieces. The smaller
the pieces, the more manageable a schedule is to maintain and communicate. To explain the importance of a schedule in the process of constructing a
building, Mr. Whittle showed us how he scheduled the Roth Street Flats and the issues that came into play. The first schedule that was presented was
the four–week look–ahead schedule for the project. This was created at the front–end of the project when very few subcontractors on the site. Mr.
Whittle explained to use that if you are going to have major delays, you want them to be at the beginning of the project so that you have plenty of
time to catch up and react to the effects of the delay. The Roth Street Flats were originally scheduled to be an eighteen–month project, but a major
delay caused the project team to lose one month. There was a tower crane on site, and when the operator

Service Learning Project Reflection
An Experience Like No Other In the past, I have participated in community service projects. It wasn't until The Leadership and Professional
Development (LPD) class in the fall of 2012 that I was introduced to the idea of service learning. This semester taught me the importance of reflecting
on the community service that I performed and actually taking something away from the experience. This semester my team and I had the opportunity
to participate in community service activities at The Village at Carver Family YMCA at 1600 Pryor Road. We had the pleasure of working with a
wonderful and enthusiastic staff and mentoring some of the local youth. The youth that we mentored ranged from kindergarten ... Show more content on

The group that I chose needed help in math. The problem with most of the kids was not that they were incapable of learning the material. It was
that they didn't find it interesting and did not understand how it would help them in the future. A method that I used with them, that was taught to
me a apply math to making money. After I explained to how excelling in math would ultimately help them make more money, they were more
enthused about the subject area. I personally never saw myself as a tutor but after helping the kids, it made me see certain qualities in myself that I
did not know I had. Among other things, my team and I had the privilege of sitting down and talking with some of the senior citizens in the
community. Besides helping the kids with their school work, this was one of the most beneficial things about my community service at the YMCA.
In my conversation with some of the senior citizens, it allowed me to really appreciate the viewpoint of the elderly and in return sharing my insight
on a few things. It made me feel good because they recognized us for doing something positive in the community and making a difference instead of
getting into to trouble. Now that my time at the service learning site is over, I am glad that I had the opportunity to participate in it. It helped further
myself in becoming a future leader. During the class we discussed a couple of frameworks to help is grow and become great leaders. One of those was

Reflection For Service Learning Project
Action #3 When I was in my first semester of college as a dual credit student, I was assigned to do a service learning project. For this project, I had
to volunteer somewhere for a few hours and then analyze what I saw and experienced. I decided to volunteer at a nursing home and spend some
time with the elderly residents there. The experience that I had impacted my outlook on nursing homes and those with mental illnesses. While there,
I saw many residents that were physically impaired but I was not prepared to witness so many people with failing minds. I feel like this project
really opened my eyes and my heart for those that had once been able to live full lives and were now unable to care for themselves. A few years later,

Service Learning Project Analysis
The first objective that my service learning project can relate to is objective five. This is to analyze the historically and morally necessary forces of
change that brought an end to slavery and segregation, as well as second–class citizenship for women and people of color (Course Objectives, 2015).
Bringing the history of slavery and segregation to the forefront may be difficult at times, but it is important to know just how far America has come.
Understanding and analyzing the events that abolished segregation also allows individuals to consider racial tensions that still arise in current society.
The majority of girls at Girls Inc. are African–American, so my project is related to the objective in a very simple reasoning. Had these changes not
been enforced, I would not have had the opportunity to mentor my young lady. At Girls Inc., 67% of the members are African–American, 16% are
Hispanic and Multicultural, and 2% are Native American (The Girls We Serve, 2013). Immersing myself into a diverse and racially–integrated center
has allowed me to see the moral necessity behind abolishing slavery and segregation. This objective is important to society for the simple fact that no
one should be dehumanized due to race or gender. The U.S. promises equality to all citizens, and the historical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The Influence of LEAD Service Projects
Through completion and comparison of LEAD Service Projects, I have learned much about the community and myself. Through comparison,
perception, leadership, and reflection we can see the validity of this statement. While comparing projects with Jarrett Jennings I recognized many
similarities. We both gained more passion for our respective issues. We both want to continue to contribute to the communities and we understand the
importance of staying involved. By helping at the Second Harvest Food Bank, Jarrett was able to be in an environment that encouraged further
participation rather than isolated work. He helps separate potatoes based on quality as he continues to communicate with the diverse group of people
that work and volunteer there. He notices that there are many characters that range from convicts, to scouts, to executives that want to help the
community. He gains life experience by learning from other people's mistakes and their successes. He does not yet comprehend what it means to be
truly hungry, but with continued effort and more experience with the customers, he soon will. By becoming a chair member for VUCF's Different
Abilities, I have taken a crucial step to understanding the community of people with disabilities. With my previous knowledge, I was able to step up
and lead three different events. They include Buddy Training 101, Childcare for DSFF, and Abilities Field Day. At Buddy Training 101, I was able to

Service Learning Project Report
Academics is a large part of what determines the future of the typical college student. With an education and a degree, it is assumed that the individual
will be an active member in a work space, a family, and the various forms of community that will be encountered after graduation. However, for an
individual to fully participate and utilize their skills to the best of their ability, they will need to practice participating and helping within a community.
This is what a service learning project is. This project will integrate the student's into a community, whether it be a town, church, school, and any other
community. The student's will be given multiple opportunities that allow them to enrich the lives of the other members of this community.

Service Learning Project Pertaining to Goods Drive for Child Advocacy Center
For this service learning project, my group and I organized a goods drive. We placed donation boxes around Denton for art–therapy supplies. The
group also held an event on November 6, 2017, at Texas Woman's University to encourage students to make donations. All the donations went to the
Child Advocacy Center in Denton; this organization provides assistance to children that have been victims of physical or sexual abuse. This service
learning project relates to the theories and ideas in chapter 13 and chapter 14 of Women's Lives: A Psychological Exploration. Chapter 13 relates to

According to an article published in Art Therapy: Journal of the American Art therapy Association, "...art therapy strengthened personal, spiritual and
social development" (pg. 72, Kapitan, Litell, Torres, 2011). Additionally, it could also help children reduce "acute stress symptom" (pg. 103, Chapman,
Morabito, Ladakakos, Schreier, Knudson, 2001). This type of therapy can be used to build child's self–esteem by encouraging them to express
themselves openly through art.
My experience has been consistent with what we learned in class. This project brought light to the horrifying abuse that large number of children go
through at a young age and this service learning project allowed me to better understand their suffering and their need for assistance. My service
learning project made the course material relevant, because I could now better understand the necessity to provide support and comfort to children at a
young age.
This project benefited me personally because it allowed me to step out of my comfort zone. I am somewhat of a shy person; and this project put me
in uncomfortable situations where I had to contact various business managers and request to put a donation box in their establishment. Many of these
businesses denied my request, but by the fifth or sixth call, my discomfort of talking to strangers was gone. This project also benefited me
academically because it required me to work in groups. Group work

Data Collection
I collected data through surveys and focus group discussions. I used a purposive sample to select the participants for this study. As soon as the
service–learning project was completed, each student who had participated was asked to complete an online survey so that I could gauge their
satisfaction with the service–learning project. Thirty–two students out of the total of 50 completed the survey (a 64% response rate).
Three 90–minute focus group discussions were conducted with a total of 26 consenting students to probe their experience with and opinions about the
service–learning project. Students were approached and asked to voluntarily participate in the focus group discussions on the last day of the academic
quarter. Inclusion criteria consisted of willingness to be interviewed and participation in the service–learning project. Of the 26 focus group
participants, 13 were first–year students and 13 were second–year students. Twenty of the participants were ages 16 to 24 years; five were between the

Introduction:
The paper deals with the current use of Project management in the software applications. Project management is the science (and art) of organizing the
components of a project, whether the development of a new product or the launch of a new service. It is not something that's a part of normal business
operations. Aproject consumes resources and it has funding limits. Lehner (2010) stated that project knowledge management process is playing a key
role in the organizations and reinforcing them to manage the entire activities of the organizations. In this paper we are presenting project management

Project At Tulsa County Youth Services
I acquired my service learning hours by participating in a group that volunteered at Tulsa County Youth Services. My group encountered many
difficulties and challenges before finally securing a project at Tulsa County Youth Services that would allow for us to fulfill our eight
–hour requirement
for the service–learning project. Initially, we had planned to volunteer at Rogers County Youth Services, but these plans dissipated as we learned that it
was extremely difficult to simply set up a meeting between our group and their organization's director. Luckily, I came across group volunteer
opportunities at Tulsa County Youth Services while contemplating how we would be able to fulfill our community service hours with the difficulties
that were then experiencing with Rogers County Youth Services. Looking back, I think it was easier to set up a group project withTulsa County Youth
Services because they are a much larger–scale organization when being compared to Rogers County Youth Services. Tulsa County Youth Service's
communications coordinator was easily able to set our group up with date, time, and project that would fulfill the requirements for the group project.
Collectively speaking, our entire group felt privileged to share this experience at Tulsa County Youth Services and we all were very impressed by the
tremendous amount of services that were offered by Tulsa County Youth Services. Our group decided to complete our volunteer service with Tulsa

The Information Technology Services Project Management...

  • 1. The Information Technology Services Project Management... Definition of methodology Project methodology provides the Information Technology Services project teams with group of rules to manage projects. Methodology is a tool provider to make every one 's job easier, mainly who manages the project, which contains the description, steps and templates to various project activities that require delivering successful projects. Project Management Methodology is a factually defined sequence of logically related practices, methods and processes that determine how best to plan, develop and deliver a project throughout the continuous implementation process until the completion. It is a scientifically–proven that systematic and disciplined approach project execution, design and completion of project. A methodology provides a skeleton for describing every step in depth, so that a project manager will know what to do to deliver and implement the work according to the budget, schedule and client specification. Role of methodology in the Project Management The primary challenge of project management is to achieve all the project goals within the given conditions. These requirements are usually described in a user or project manual, which is created at the beginning of the development process of the project. The primary conditions are time, scope, budget and quality. The secondary challenge is to optimize the allocation of necessary inputs given and integrate them to meet pre–defined objectives in the project. What is the waterfall model ... • 2. Customer Service Project Plan Currently, the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency is focusing on improving customer service from good to exceptional. A project which can improve delivery of service has been laid out in this paper. To deliver a person–centered customer service, the goal of this project is to bring several critical departments together by offering service catered to the customer's needs. For example, cash–aid, food, medical, child welfare, child support, and adult protective services and probation all into one business hub. Currently, the county makes manual referrals or sends the customer to separate departments without the ability to track these referrals or follow through to see if the customers received the benefits they were... • 3. Project Management : A Unique Product Or Service Web Project Management A project is a temporary endeavour to create a unique product or service (Wikipedia contributors 2015). When this comes to IT we can define it as software enhancement or new software product, hardware improvements or fine tuning any process involved in an IT industry which can save time, money and avoid risk. Project management is the process and application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to different project activities so as to deliver project with all requirements expected by customer or client on expected time (What is Project Management? | Project Management Institute, 2014). Some of the activities that are involved in project management are пѓ Planning пѓ Organizing пѓ Budgeting пѓ Motivating and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Difference also lies between the expectation and situations that typically present. Main difficulty lies in web projects where client tend to change project expectation and project manager need to adapt the changes and deliver if possible within actual time (Thomas–Shelford, J, Gregory–Remillard, A, 2002). The main factors for any project management should be managing internal and external conflicts and providing motivation and leader ships to team. Web Project manager should be with knowledge of every discipline so as to be familiar with his/her team expectations and client requirement. The main challenges faced by any project manager are budget, scope, time, quality and to efficiently allocate resources and other inputs in order to achieve targets (Thomas–Shelford, J, Gregory–Remillard, A, 2002). There are many techniques used to manage all project activities some of them are: пѓ The traditional approach пѓ PRINCE2 пѓ Critical chain project management пѓ Process–based management пѓ Agile project management пѓ Lean project management пѓ Extreme project management пѓ Benefits realization management (Wikipedia Contributors, 2015). A traditional approach got a sequence of steps and cannot come back once done with sequence steps. Waterfall model is similar to this when we discuss traditional approach in software industry (Winston W. Royce, 1970). There is no need for all the projects to follow all steps in sequence.

  • 5. Service Learning Project Summary Kenneth had the opportunity to serve as chair of a service–learning project and plan the project for the last several weeks. Service–learning projects provide college students with a new method of learning. Kenneth is very active in the community, but planning a project was new so his expectations were low. His expectations changed once his service–learning team put all effort and dedication into the planning process. Kenneth found that serving as the chair of a service–learning project takes analytical and communication skills, dedication, flexibility, firmness, understanding, and hard work. The group discovered that service–learning projects take a great deal of effort and team work. The project strengthened, increased, and developed the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Service Learning Project On average on 26% of Americans volunteer, this surprised me on how low this number truly was. I now understand why community service is required for most classes, because without us kids out volunteering the numbers would be substantially lower. This proves to be true by a study done by Debra Blum shows that hot spots for volunteer work is in college towns, such as Provo, Madison, Wisconsin and Iowa City, Iowa. To me this is pointing out that people that have higher education are more likely to give back to their communities. This can be explained with certain theories that will be broken down later in the essay along with other materials. While doing community service there were a few ideas or concepts that came right out at me. The one that I noticed the most was conformity (page 473), this was most prominent in the high school setting. For an example there was a group of kids and they wanted a pop, except one of the kids just wanted a water since he just got done playing a game. And all of his "friend" started to bash on him for not getting a pop like all the others, this led to the kid giving in and getting a pop. In a way that got me thinking about that kids personality traits (pg. 345), and how he conformed so easily to his friends opinions. I later went on to volunteering at a local nursing home and that is when obedience (pg. 475) was most prominent. Everyone there was very responsive and willing to comply with whoever was in charge and in my opinion obedience ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Network Performance Quality Of Service Project Report The aim of this project is to investigate and implement a standardised way to monitor and improve quality of service for a user with devices connected to the internet of things. Although there are several papers referring to the need for this, any implementation has been on an ad–hoc bases for specific devices/issues and not rolled out as a standard approach. The approach this project is taking is to implement an algorithm which will monitor a network and work to improve its quality or service through different protocols. It will not be specific to just one application and the end goal would be the algorithm working with all types of IoT devices and handle a range of issues. 2.The Problem Network performance Quality of Service (QoS) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is therefore interesting that this area remains to be unstandardized today. The researcher in this paper proposes that the problem is responded to by a "QoS architecture based on IoT layered structure. This architecture sets QoS agent in lower layers then transmits QoS requirements, trying to guarantee the consistency as well as effectively use the existing QoS mechanisms in every layer."(Duan, Chen and Xing, 2011) Other research suggests that the integration between IoT and other technologies such as Cloud Computing is "in its infantile phase and it has not been extended to all application domains due to its inadequate quality of service architecture." (T, S and A, 2015) . We see here the lack of QoS in the IoT also has an impact on the future and extendibility of the IoT. Within this area of QoS, which continues to be actively researched, there is still a gap in any currently available solution. This project aims to contribute to this gap. 3.The Proposed Solution The proposed solution is to develop a protocol, a set of rules, to monitor application performance and the real–time state of the network in the Internet of Things (IoT). The objective of this ruleset is to achieve Quality of Service (QoS) from the network perspective and Quality of Experience (QoE) from the user perspective. This ruleset will support a range of devices and applications in the IoT. There will also be consideration taken into ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While rapid urbanization and urban growth continues, an increasing number of city governments are looking to the consolidation of municipal services as one of the ways to make their cities more efficient, effective, transparent, and accountable. A 311 program is considered one particular strategy for service integration. The 311 is a special telephone number supported in many communities in Canada and the United States. It can also be considered as city–level service integration initiatives. The number provides quick and easy access to non–emergency municipal services and information. 311 mainly have three big objectives. The first one as we mentioned before, they need to provide the public with quick, easy access to all City government services and information while maintaining the highest possible level of customer service. • 12. My Community Service Project For my community service project I volunteered at a fundraiser that raised money for the circus arts program called El Tour De Sonrisas, a program that is built for the youth in the community of Nicaragua. My engagement in this project has benefited me in ways that allowed me to grow the prosperity as an individual such as new skill development and expansion of knowledge in providing service in our society. This project has also given me the opportunity to be involved in my community while helping another community outside of the country. The fundraiser sole purpose is to raise money for a program that is located in Nicaragua. This country is the second poorest in the western hemisphere, where ninety percent of the population is poverty stricken due to the political and environmental barriers that keep them. This aims toward generational poverty. For many of the youth living in these conditions there is a lack of attention towards these young individuals and this could potentially lead to a bad life. Programs that provide the youth a safe place to develop as health community members is something that exists but are scarce – especially living in a poor country. The specific program that I volunteered to raise money for a circus troupe at El Nido. The troupe teaches and mentors children about the circus arts. Every summer, the troupe goes on a tour called, "El Tour de Las Sonrisas", where teachers and children perform for the community, bringing smiles all around. The main ... • 13. Selection Of The Service Learning Project Entry One: Selection of the Service Learning Project After some research and deliberation, I chose Habitat for Humanity (HFH, 2016) for my service project. There were several reasons that Habitat for Humanity appealed to me. The first reason is that I consider HFH to be a worthy cause is that I appreciate that it's for a lower income family that would not otherwise be able to afford a home. The facts that the beneficiaries are expected to help build their home or other HFH homes with sweat equity, they'll pay a mortgage, combined with the way it's set up so they won't be able to just sell as a short term flip, gives me the impression that it's not a freebie entitlement program, but a program that promotes responsibility with some life changing results. I also consider that working on a construction project plays into my strengths. Even though I haven't been hired specifically as a construction worker since my teen years when pouring concrete every summer, some of my strengths come from my previous education and work as an electro–mechanical technician along with the all of the construction projects I've completed over the years on the farm and for home improvements which have included electrical, and plumbing when I've remodeled and added additions and buildings. Another thing I liked about HFH is that it is a Christian ministry. With so much of the world and people within our country judging Christians and their values in a poor light, I feel that it's important to project ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 14. Christian Service Project Approaching the Christian Service Project my junior year, my project is already picked out. The catholic social teaching actually had a hand in helping me pick out my project. This project is through the church of St. Vincent de Paul and is the Adopt–A–Family program at Christmas. God created human beings to be in loving communion with another and God which is what this program helps to accomplish. The Paschal Mystery taught that we need to be holy people and what it means to be a holy person. This has taught me how much we are to love God, others, and all of creation, which I do. I believe that the Adopt–A–Family project is a way to show God how much I love him by loving and supporting his creation. This project is all about helping less fortunate parents ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Calls of the Church to be the light of the world are through good examples and good deeds. Kindness is a simple way to make the world a brighter place which is something we learned in class this year. During all 10 years I have done this project, the one thing that always stays the same is that the families are so appreciative and happy to see how much we help and that smiles are always contagious. This organization is the perfect way to share our God–given gifts to help others which is what the Church calls for. The Catholic Social Teaching taught me the morals of which God created human beings to have. God created human beings to be in a loving, harmonious relationship with one another and himself. This principle is the basis of my entire decision for my Christian Service Project idea. The fact that God wanted us to be loving down to the very core inspired me to show others that their neighbors are kind by helping them provide for their families. We were assigned a Public Service Announcement project during the last weeks of school. Everyone was required to choose from a list of topics for their public service announcement. Our topic was on what people can do to save the environment. We made the project with a mixture of photos from the internet and photos we personally captured. Service Learning Project Analysis "Service–learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities" (Learn and Serve America National Service–Learning Clearinghouse). This assignment gave students the opportunity to go outside of their comfort zone, which is typically the classroom and see what the "real world" is like. As Gandhi would say "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others" (Gandhi). • 18. The Service-Learning Project Analysis For the service–learning project I decided to go to the kid's club "Zuvedra" and during this time I have discovered several new things about myself. I have never thought that at the age of 20 I will behave in the same manner as kids act at the age of 8–10 years. I was playing card game such as Dixit with children of different ages and, after several games, we already knew who and in what way is thinking. In addition, during the project, after two days of practice, I have learned how to play a table football and started to play at the same level as "professionals" with several mouths of experience. I really was not expecting that I will enjoy playing with kids so much. Nonetheless, this became an additional proof that I am open for the new experience. All in all, every time I went there I was enjoying every activity the same way as Buddhists worldview suggests people to value every moment and be happy.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I was enjoying communication with children because they were so willing to share their knowledge and to simply tell about interests. Once, the one girl, who was one of the most active speakers, told that she is a hockey player in a mixed team. A very small and skinny nine years girl is a forward in hockey team! In addition, she also said that there are only two girls in her team and the second girl is a goalkeeper. My reaction was like: "Wow, that is something totally new and unexpected for me," and that showed me that I reallywant to know these kids better. Unconsciously I still had a kind of stereotype even if I try to follow the Buddhists approach – to perceive the new information according to open–mind principle – however, this became an additional experience in my knowledge–box. Environmental Service Project Paper ESRM 100 Extra Credit Environmental Service Project Paper 08/05/2013 On 27th July 2013, I embark on my second volunteer service project with EarthCorps to help with the restoration of the forested parklands at Camp Long. The scope of work during this service project was similar to the one that I did at the West Duwamish Greenbelt, which is primarily to remove the invasive species of Himalayan Blackberry. As these seeds start to germinate on the forest floor and grow, they are a threat to the native plant species as they compete against them for nutrients and sunlight. In the case of the English Ivy, they grow on the barks of the native deciduous trees, absorbing nutrients and sunlight, which were meant for the growth of the native trees. Over time, the trees fall behind in the competition for nutrients and sunlight, causing them to weaken and die. The thorn on the stems of the Himalayan Blackberry also prevents wildlife from easy access through the forest floor and hence denying them entry to areas where food for the animals is available. As such, our main goal for the day was to clear out as many invasive Himalayan Blackberries as possible. This would allow a more sustainable environment for our native plant and animal species to thrive and preserve the ecosystem that we once had. Tools such as shovels and garden shears were provided to get down to the root of the Himalayan Blackberry and to dig them out. This was a tedious process for many new volunteers who didn't know what to expect and were constantly being pricked by the thorns of the Himalayan Blackberry. For this reason, I have spent around forty hours from the end of the summer up until now volunteering at HonorHealth hospital. I volunteered as a transporter, what this means is that I move equipment, medical documents and lab samples around the hospital. Through this experience I was able to make life easier on people who were vulnerable and trying to recover as well as the busy staff member who treated them. I had many interactions with people and by from this I have a better understanding of impact my service had. I will be discussing: How psychology can explain social interaction, how outside factors can influence a person 's sense of self, how behaviors and situations can help you understand a person, the importance of communication as well as focus, and the environment shapes the organization. Using Psychology to Explain Specific Interactions Over the course of my volunteering I had many patient interactions and before escorting them out of the hospital I could see how the doctor affected their behavior. • 26. Project Management : Building A Unique Product, Service,... Project management matters because it is a way to control spending and improve project results. It may be a way to reduce risks, cut costs and improved success rates. Project management across the organization helps create a strategic value that gives companies an edge on their competitors. Being able to deliver projects on time and within budget often determines whether a company will get the next job or not. Projects have been around since beginning of time. Even a life cycle of a living being is a project on its own. Let us break down project management in order to demonstrate the impact project management has within organizations. What is a project? "A project is "a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result" (Kloppenborg, 2015, p.4). Management is defined as the controlling and making decisions. Thus, "project management is "the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements" (Kloppenborg, 2015, p.4). "All work can be described as fitting into one of two types: projects or operations" (Kloppenborg, 2015, p.5). Projects are temporary and no two projects are alike. Operations are the happenings on a daily basis that keep the business going. In order to get a project going, a project manager should be appointed/hired. Mr. Whittle explained that until the tape and float "domino" falls, you cannot paint. Items in the schedule that are dependent on a previous activity must "fall" in a sequential order in order for the schedule to be an effective tool. Mr. Whittle also stressed the importance of breaking the schedule up into bite–sized pieces. The smaller the pieces, the more manageable a schedule is to maintain and communicate. To explain the importance of a schedule in the process of constructing a building, Mr. Whittle showed us how he scheduled the Roth Street Flats and the issues that came into play. The first schedule that was presented was the four–week look–ahead schedule for the project. This was created at the front–end of the project when very few subcontractors on the site. This is to analyze the historically and morally necessary forces of change that brought an end to slavery and segregation, as well as second–class citizenship for women and people of color (Course Objectives, 2015). Had these changes not been enforced, I would not have had the opportunity to mentor my young lady. At Girls Inc., 67% of the members are African–American, 16% are Hispanic and Multicultural, and 2% are Native American (The Girls We Serve, 2013). Immersing myself into a diverse and racially–integrated center has allowed me to see the moral necessity behind abolishing slavery and segregation.
