- 1. Try using some of these questions as
prompts to help you find out your learners’
views. You could add some of your own
questions in the right-hand column.
HOW will you know when you are achieving your aims?
What do your learners think of
their curriculum?
Example questions
• What do you enjoy learning?
• What would you like to learn?
• In what surroundings do you most like to learn?
• How do you know if you have been successful?
• What happens when you make a mistake?
• Do you like learning on your own, with a friend or
in a group?
• Do you ask questions about your learning?
• What skills do you have?
Adapt and add to the questions to meet the needs of
your learners and to help focus the discussion on the
areas that you want to develop. For example, if you are
focusing on developing learners’ creativity through the
curriculum, you might ask:
• What kind of work do you do when you are being
most creative?
• How do you know when you have achieved something
that is really creative?
• How do your teachers or other adults help you
to be creative?
• Talk about a time when you have been particularly
creative.
• Does being creative make you a better learner?
What do you want to ask your learners?
