3. The artist’s name, the album name, and a picture of the artist is
all that makes up this front cover. The picture in the centre has
been edited to replicate a bullet hole. This is relevant to the
artist’s life as he was shot numerous times years ago and is still
alive to this day. He also is wearing a big sliver crucifix round his
neck on a chain. This is in the centre of the bullet hole, maybe
meaning that the cross is indestructible, as is God. That could be
a subliminal religious message hidden in the artists album
artwork. There is also a parental advisory stamp, explaining that
the content isn’t suitable for children.
4. Here on the back of 50 Cent’s ‘Get Rich Or Die Trying’ we have the
album track list. The track list is written over an image, the image
being 50’s hometown of Jamaica Queens in which he was born and
raised. The angle in which the photo is taken, really exaggerates 50
Cent’s muscular physique, glorifying his tattoos and piercings. The
barcode on the back is there for the simple reason of purchasing the
album in a shop.
5. The CD is a very basic disk. It has ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ on
the front in gold, which is so relivant to the title as gold
makes you rich! The bullet holes are a recurring theme
throughout the whole digi-pack, and also the colour red is
too. I think this may relate to blood, and blood being spilt in
order to ‘get rich’ and if it doesn’t happen, you ‘die tryin’ as
does the title say. The black background colour of the disk
looks very classy and slick, metallic black does this, therefore
providing a glossy look to the disk.
6. The inside cover consists of much of the same as the front cover. The
same image has been used with the bullet hole aimed at the crucifix in
which hangs down from 50 Cent’s neck. The main feature on this inside
cover is the tag that is promoting his featuring singles/songs on the
album. This will automatically draw the target audience’s attention to
the featuring songs as they are the ones that promise the most, in
order for them to be displayed on their own on the inside cover.
