Analysis of typical features on cd covers
1. Analysis of Typical Features on CD Covers
Let's begin with the typical front cover of a disc. The front cover, usually contains
the face of the artist that is performing the songs, along with the title of the album.
However sometimes in single or independent albums we might see some logos that
represent the artist, his image or even
the genre of the music. Furthermore,
the spine will include again the title of
the album and the name of the artist.
Now as far as the back cover is
concerned, there is usually the playlist
of the album, the name of the album
and the mention of the Record Label at
the bottom. Moreover the inlays contain
the playlist again, but this time in more
detailed and also the information
concerning the production company.
Finally the typical features of the disc include an image that represents the genre
and the artist, along with the name of the album, the Record Label and at the edge,
it describes to who the copyrights belong to.
Based on all that information that I have gathered, concerning the typical features, I
have decided that in my front cover will not include an image of me, because I have
also taken the path of working with an independent production company, so there
is no reason of putting my face out there. There is also a draft of my front and back
cover of my Digipak in another post in this blog that I have considered as suitable
for my single album.
