1. Kilve
• Activities in the woods were most useful in getting ideas out
• This led me on to create more 3D products from the ideas
• And to use materials in different ways
2. For this idea I was thinking about the use for
my park bench.
• For this idea I was thinking about the use for my park bench.
• My first idea was to put a well-designed table in the entrance of Kilve court. This would become a very hard
challenge as there is not much need or use for a table in there. I was not able to get the proportions needed
for the table
• I further developed the table idea when looking outside Kilve court to find old park benches and decided to
create a set of table and benches to go outside Kilve court. This would be centred on the idea that it was for
young children and would have to be very stable and strong to withstand them climbing all over it.
• In Kilve there is a wonderful beach that has an unused park bench which could be replaced by a better one.
There were some problems though, the tides at the beach came up very high and would mean that the bench
would have to be water proof and the winds there are very strong as it is by the beach so it would need to be
strong and stable
3. Wooden table idea
• Idea number one was to create a table of some form the project brief that was related to a
natural landscape. I had an idea of what I could create from these images. When I was at
Kilve I found that the sticks I found there could be carved off leaving lighter texture, using
this idea I could implement this into a table leg leaving the natural bark to be shown and
slowly be carved away.
• This would replace the current
table with a better one
4. Chair design
• This chair could fit with the table that would be used a watch view over the
beach.
• Similarly to the table the chair would have to
be strong enough to withstand the strong tides
and winds at the beach.
5. Cutlery design
• This designer has created cutlery that looks like it is made from wood
• Cutlery "place" (urethane paint finish)
• Branch theme expressed to graphical and sculptural elements of the natural
world.
• production of the world's leading luxury tableware, polishing, etc.
manufacturing technology enables the beautifully complex shapes made.
6. Coat hanger design
• the image of forest trees. In elegant form
• moulded plywood is installed, Organic lines overlap complicates the coat
hanger as well as, as an object in the room is sufficient presence.
• Material: moulded plywood (Maple surface material), urethane resin
• Colour: Walnut red black
7. Develop my idea further to a final decision
• The idea was to replace this park bench with a better one
