Endometriosis is a condition where bits of
tissue like the lining of the uterus, are found in
places outside of the uterus where they
shouldn’t be.
Endometriosis is a problem because it can
cause pain, scarring and sometimes problems
getting pregnant.
5. BUT WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
Endometriosis with adhesions which are ‘cobweb’ like
threads that attach themselves to other parts of the body.
They pull and cause pain.
6. Endometriosis appears as
little dark spots on the
internal tissue lining which
are called ‘nodules’.
7. WHAT CAN IT LOOK LIKE ON THE
OUTSIDE?
An outward symptom of
Endometriosis can be
bloating and distention of the
abdomen.
