1. My Journal To My Presentation: The Reasoning
Okay, now when this deliverable was presented to me I was thinking what should I do for this assignment?
T here was never one doubt what I wanted to make my goal and it’s been a goal and a thought I had during the
summer, on a lonesome night. Enhances why I chose creating an event for all of you. Granted we had two week
since we handed in our proposals for them to get accepted, but because of the way my work schedule is it allows to
take week by week and that is what I did and you know what I found out? I found myself struggling to do this
assignment because I hadn’t had the time. I would have to consistently tell myself that work well under tight
deadlines. T hat’s not to say I didn’t have fun and learned something because I did.
The Idea and the Planning of The Event
My week started off on Tuesday evening while going through the assignment and my proposal that it
dawned me what I actually had propose. It was something that I came up with while on the food truck I work on. Now
think in the city like New York or San Francisco where you are likely to do more in a park in the summer. Case in
point some have screenings of movies, older movies, cult classics but where could we hold the venue, maybe a drive
in? Sure I mean you could partner up with a drive in theatre, but that isn’t what I wanted to do... See you need a spot
where its going drive the attraction of people to spot in the summer. A park. In Kitchener Waterloo there is several
parks throughout the city but the park that I chose is Victoria Park and on a night where it’s the second day of the
week that is referred to as a date night, Tuesday. T hat’s only the half my idea the other half of my idea is having food
truck park at the location in the park so they could serve their food to the people already there for a discounted price.
Having that as an idea, I began researching and spent all Tuesday night doing just that. Only to find what it
would take to do an event in outdoor venue such as a park. Needless to say I couldn’t find any information on google
that referred to the Kitchener fee on google. In frustration I just went with the Toronto model so all the things that I
have put in my slideshow are actually things that the city of Toronto uses when some want. After obtaining that
information what I had to do was think about a name for the event. Wanting to play off Shakespeare. I decide to go
with the name a Summer Night Dream Date.
Because I am creative but I’m going to admit I don’t a whole lot about Photoshop so the other night I had a
friend help me with the poster and what the end result we got was a poster that I was proud she help me with, taught
me a lot of what I didn’t know about this program.
Reasoning: Food Truck Portion
There was another part of this assignment that I had made a goal of mine and that is to learn to do a sales quote. I
fully understand that I did put a sale quota, but that there was my mistake. I meant a sale quote for this event. But
before I get into that I will say that did ask myself a question and the same question has been lingering since I started
on the truck. So I had to ask myself what multi-channel of social media works best when you are on food truck? And
the result I found out is that you can’t go wrong with any form of social media, but here are some rules that you need
to follow when you are starting.

2.  Interact
In my own personal experience I found that Twitter and Facebook are probably the best way to go because it allows
you to
 Interact – In real time with the customer and have better understanding of how people do value your
business. It will help improve your customer experience and create a relationship with the customers
 Reward Social Media – Set up a contest on Social Media Platform where it allows you send in photos and
or videos in hopes that it can generate new clients.
 Location- You’ll able to your location of where you will be to your followers
Having researched that, I then proceed to give you a rough idea of the menu that we severed on the food truck, the
seemingly top favorites valued at anywhere from the range of 10-12 dollars a dish. I took the pictures of the food off
our own website to enhance the experience and make you guys hungry.
Lastly, we get to the Sales Quote, not Quota
