Introduction to the concepts of nanotechnology and its scientific importance.quot;
Nanotechnology refers to the manipulation of physical and technological systems, such as the physical dimension with an order of 100nm or less. The advantages of nanotechnology are that it provides the highest surface area as catalysis as well as greater material hardness and chemical reactivity. Also the surface forces dominate as do quantum confinement effects, increased sensitivity, and response time for biomedical applications. The lab produces a coating of hydroxyapatite (HA), Ca10(PO4 )6(OH)2 , which is a primary component of bone and bioactive ceramics. This is used for coating implants and screws for bone repair and reconstruction.
Moreover, we observed specialized machinery such as sputtering deposition system, which is composed of magnets, plasma, substrate, and a heater. This instrument can be used to integrate elements such as gold and silver to a substrate. In conclusion, nanotechnology is a breakthrough for the development of technology in the world, and you can see fibers of a minute size and the specialized machines that perform this type of work.
