Outline Of Anecdotal Speech
Anecdotal Speech Outline Intro: Bombs are very dangerous and are not to be messed with. Going
from a fart bomb all the way to nuclear weapons of mass destruction bombs are not supposed to be
taken lightly. Today I will talk to you about how a simple mistake of identifying a toy for a bomb at
school led to a unintentional day off. I will first explain to you why we had our day off, about the
events that took place that day, and what happened that following Monday. Body: It was Friday
January 24th 2014 and we were already two weeks in the second semester of my junior year. So I
wake up and get ready for school like any normal day *well that's what I thought*. Every morning
before school begins my brother and I park by some of our teammates ... Show more content on

We started our day off with having friends over at Ryan's house we ordered pizzas played video
games and listened to music. As a couple hours passed by we decided that we needed to be in some
water but nobody wanted to drive to the beach. Greg thought of going to a nearby pool where there
was no security and hop the fence. So we called up a couple of our friends and had squad trip at the
pool. At this moment it is about 12 o'clock and Ryan gets a call from his mom saying that the school
called. They said what appeared to be a bomb was actually the inner mechanical workings of a toy.
They went on to say that the students were never told to go home and that everyone who does not
show up will be marked truant. We saw no point in going back so we continued on with our pool
day. Now I fast forward to the evening I checked in at home see how my mom was doing. I come
home to find out my mom was oblivious to all the events that took place because she was sleeping
all day after coming home from work. That night my mom went back to work so I decided to go
back out with my friends. I got picked up by Greg, Koy, and Ryan. They tell me that we are having a
bonfire tonight at Ryan's house and more people are on their way. So we spend the night at Ryan's
house eating s'mores and having a good

Terrorism In Texas
News response
Recently in Austin, Texas there have been a series of bombings. Three bombings have occurred in
total, one on March 2nd and two on March 12th. Authorities believe the bombings are connected
because the method of delivery was identical. Specifically, the bombs were all placed in unmarked
packages on the victims' front door steps. Two African American males were killed and a Hispanic
women was seriously injured. CNN covered a story regarding the bombings titled "These Austin
residents fear that the explosions may be racially motivated." The article discussed why residents
feel the attacks are racially motivated. Obviously, the primary reason is that none of the victims
were Caucasian. Chas Moore, the executive director of the Austin Justice Coalition, summarized the
feelings of many residents stating "We do feel targeted. Until it happens to somebody that is not a
person of color I think that is going to remain the same." In addition to the demographics of the
victims, Moore cited the unacknowledged racial tension in the city as evidence of the probability the
attacks were racially motivated. Namely, because it is one of the few liberal locations in Texas,
wealthy white college educated individuals have been moving into the city ... Show more content on

Conflict Theory focuses on inequality and how factors such as race keep people oppressed.
Specifically, the article claims the reason why the victims were targeted was because they were not
white and we have an inequality of races in the United States. Furthermore, the article includes
quotes from individuals who believe that the inequality of races in the United States caused a
disparity in police responding. For instance, one member of the Austin community questioned the
integrity of the Austin Police Department by asking "What are you doing to make sure your officers
are sharp and not targeting black and brown

Persuasive Essay On Atomic Bombs
Have you ever noticed how dangerous the world can be? While some of us think that we are safe,
there are a lot of people who disagree. Today we have all these bombs of mass destruction, and this
is a great fear to a lot of people. We now have enough of these bombs worldwide, and it can wipe
out most of living organisms. Yes, the U.S. does have these bombs for protection, but the U.S. isn't
the only one with them, there are a lot of countries that also have them, and this is what alarms
everyone. Are these bombs truly our go to weapon when it's time to fight? These bombs can leak
radiation, cause damage and millions of casualties to our planet, but we won't blink an eye once they
are used on the people who have done us harm. Now we have more advanced bombs that can cause
much more damage than the bombs used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. These bombs like atomic
bombs nuclear bombs etc. can reach a much bigger range in diameter. The biggest bomb in the
world is called the tsar bomb which is 1500 times bigger than the bombs used in Hiroshima and
Nagasaki combined. You can only imagine how many innocent lives can be affected using only this
bomb Atomic bombs are weapons of mass destruction. The definition says it all. They do not cause
peace, they cause mass destruction, mass destruction of cities countries etc. The first atomic bomb
was dropped on Hiroshima japan. This was done after the attack on pearl harbor. When japan
attacked the united states, the united states suffered

Persuasive Speech On My Last Day
Go back in time. Imagine yourself walking in the streets of Hiroshima. Eating breakfast, walking to
school, riding the train to work. You're squinting your eyes looking at the sun and you think to
yourself "I'm going to have a wonderful day." You suddenly see a bright flash. It's so hot you just
disintegrate. You just disappear from the world. Not even a single trace of you. 8:15, August 6, 1945
was a day so terrifying, a day so horrifying the people's stories will be in our hearts forever. There
were many places we went around in Hiroshima, Miyajima and Kyoto but to me the Peace Park was
the most memorable. It shows how horrifying just one bomb, can be and how many people it can
kill and affect. When I went to this trip, I mostly thought. Thought what would happen if this was
my last day. What I would do if this "special" bomb affected me. What would I suffer through? ...

decades and people still suffer today, not just physically but mentally as well. Thinking about all the
people that died, all the people they lost. I think that everyone in their lifetime should go to the
Peace Park because you can see all the suffering people went through and how important world
peace is. Since you might not have time and you have a tight schedule, I'm going recommend my

Hiroshima; Right or Wrong? Essay
1) Describe the main arguments, reasons, and evidence that support the perspective of Historian A. –
Historian A had a lot of reasonable and strong perspectives on the dropping of the atomic bomb on
Hiroshima. She views the United States was not justified in dropping the bomb. A huge argument
begins with the U.S. knowing that Japan was trying to surrender. This is a great example of
unnecessarily kicking someone when they are already down. The Japanese wanted peace and tried to
surrender, the only condition was that they could keep their emperor. The U.S. declined and said
they had to have an "unconditional surrender." After the bombing, the U.S. let Japan keep their
emperor anyway. The U.S. could have saved so many lives if they had ... Show more content on

America had a bad experience with letting a condition slide during World War 1, which was a
mistake and led to the next World War. The U.S. did not want to risk more war and denied Japan of
their condition. They also believed that if they allowed Japan to keep their emperor, it would
encourage Japan to be more resistant against the U.S. to see what they could get away with. We also
didn't want to show any signs of weakness by straining our strict policy of not accepting anything
less than "unconditional surrender." Historian B claims that Japan actually wanted more than just
their emperor, which shows that the bombs were necessary to keep out further war. The quick
dropping of the bombs wasn't to keep Russia out of war considering the U.S. did not know the exact
date of Russian entry. Officers were instructed to drop the bombs when weather was appropriate and
the quicker to end the war, the better. The bomb was also not used to scare the Russia considering
the Russians were too resistant to U.S. policies in Europe. The use of the bomb being dropped on
empty land would have been a waste of a bomb and time. It took two bombings on Japan to bring
the surrender shows that the bombing of empty land would not have been effective. The committee
also recommended it be used on military targets. Importantly, the U.S. warned Japan that the use of
an atomic bomb would be ordered against them unless they accepted

Tsar Bomba Research Paper
Tsar bomba, a.k.a. Hydrogen bomb, is the most powerful nuclear weapon ever to be created. The
leading scientists for the soviets – Andrei Sakharov, Yakov Borisovich Zel'dovich, Yulii Borisovich
Khariton, and Yuri Trutnev – are the physicists most credited for its creation. The Tsar Bomba was
first tested in 1961 above Mityushikha Bay; all 50 megatons and 60,000 pounds of it was dropped
13,000 feet in the air and the power from the tsar bomb was 10 times stronger than all the explosives
used in WWⅡ combined. If the United States were free to study and work for innovations to excel
our nuclear program and keep us on the brink of the future, we would be second to none and our
world would be much safer. But with the above information questions ... Show more content on

The last time, and only time a nuclear bomb was used in combat was August 6,1945. That day was
considered America's bravest time and not in a good way, to launch a weapon with such power has
to come with true commitment, and the realization that you could be killing thousands of innocent
people. Nuclear bombs are always considered morally wrong when used, because of the effect they
have on a country not only are you killing thousands of people innocent or not, you are destroying
the infrastructure or the heart of an entire nation. America has gone far with the nuclear exploration
done so far , but if the restrictions were lifted and we had people who could properly think through
tough situations, who knows what could be accomplished. maybe it doesn't have to end with nuclear
weapons maybe it could transfer towards new and efficient ways to use nuclear power; but I urge

Dr. Michiya's In The Atomic Bomb
Imagine resting on the couch watching TV when a press of a button changes the world forever. A
flash of a shining light plunges everything into a murky darkness. The fading screams erupt around
you. Agony devours your bloody raw body and you look for your family, but they are part of the
same deathly silence that had engulfed the burning city. Blood mixes with the tears streaming down
your face and the sweet light leaves your young eyes forever and you become part of the hushed
ashes of your childhood city. The atom bomb was the cause of a brutal massacre of two towns that
ended a war of billions and the start of the ending era of our world. The atomic bomb is a weapon of
mass destruction. In other words, "In the atomic bomb, the very power of the universe had been
harnessed to create the most destructive weapon imaginable." (Ogwyn 1) That catastrophic power of
the universe was put into a weapon, a weapon that would later have the power in numbers to destroy
the whole world and every soul in it. Even the scientists who created it knew of its tragic abilities
when they said "We knew it was a war ending weapon, that's what it was built ... Show more content

Dr. Michihiko Hachiya found out first hand why it ended ww2 as he explained in his diary saying "It
was all a nightmare–my wounds, the darkness, the road ahead" ("Surviving the Atomic Attack on
Hiroshima, 1945" 3). He saw the obliteration surrounding him and knew the war was over and how
could it not be with so much destruction? Furthermore another man wanted to explain how it ended
announcing "It doubtless saved tens of thousands of lives... we would have not surrendered... It
preserved our national unity for the future" ("Nuclear Bomb on Hiroshima" 5). He knew his people
weren't going to surrender and the bomb gave them an escape route out of the war and out of a
chaotic split of the country. Therefore the Bomb ended WW2 by its gruesome attack and its offering

The Kappa Mythology
The idea of monsters lurking in rivers and eating children strikes fear in the eyes of many. The
Kappa, otherwise known as the Japanese River Monster, lies in rivers and ponds in ancient Japan.
Many people research the tale of the Kappa and has sparked interest in many explorers over time.
The Kappa is an interesting monster from old folktales or legends. Before research was conducted,
many questions arose. Questions that want to know more about what a Kappa is and where they
come from. Research has provided a different view on the tall tale of the Kappa, and provided
numerous reasons to stay away from the deadly creature. From the kidnapping of children to raiding
people's gardens, the Kappa further proved its danger to humans. Despite the name, the Kappa was
first spotted in China, then the Kappa moved to Japan. Kappa are most common in the waters in
Saga Prefecture, but many tales tell the Kappa are all over Japan and spread throughout the country.

The Power Of God : A Push Of A Button
The power of God, all in a push of a button. Nuclear weapons are the most destructive, powerful,
barbaric weapons ever used and made in human history. They have the capability of wiping out
populations of people, destroying entire ecosystems, tearing down cities in a matter of seconds.
These weapons are unlike any other for they are unique in their tenacious, dispersing, genetically
damaging radioactive after effects. They are so powerful that even the use of tens or hundreds of
nuclear bombs would disrupt the global climate, causing widespread famine. The use of atomic
bombs began in the times of World War II, the fight between the Axis powers and the Allies. In the
Axis powers the three main countries were Germany, Italy, and Japan. In the Allied powers the main
countries consisted of Great Britain, the United States, China, and the Soviet Union. The drive and
purpose of the Axis powers were to (The Axis powers had 2 common goals)
For them, nothing would get in their way. While doing so the killing of thousands of innocent people
including acts of genocide took place. Later in the war Germany and Italy would surrender due to
invasions by Allied powers and the Invasion in Normandy resulting in Allied liberation of Western
Europe from Germany Nazi control. But Japan was still left in the equation.
Earlier in the war, in 1942, the US conducted a secret military project called the Manhattan Project.

Essay On The Boston Marathon Bombing
"The Boston Marathon bombing terrorist attack that took place a short distance from the finish line
of the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013. A pair of homemade bombs detonated in the crowd
watching the race, killing 3 people and injuring more than 260" (Boston Marathon Bombing). Many
people were hurt, physically or mentally, by this attack. Because of this the bombing lead to the all
out lockdown and manhunt in the boston area. The act of terrorism committed by the Tsarnaev
brothers will forever be remembered by everyone there. Including the semi–famous Carlos
Arredondo, otherwise known as The Man in a Cowboy Hat.
The day of April 15, 2013 will forever be remembered as a day of sorrow and cruelty in the eyes of
americans. On that day two pressure cooker bombs were put in backpacks that were placed on the
ground among the crowd of people watching the boston marathon, and exploded within seconds of
eachother. The bombs killed three people and injured more than 260. Accordingly, this wasn't going
to just be brushed off of america's shoulder. So, the FBI and over 1,000 different law enforcements
set out to find whoever did this. Three whole days later, on April 18th, they finally were able to

Essay On Peter The Great
Peter the Great ruled over Russia from 1682 to 1725. Known as a key force in the reformation of the
Russian economy, and the country as a whole, Peter wished to bring his country into a new era. Up
until his reign, Russia had been trapped in a medieval like state, cut off from its European neighbors;
the Renaissance that revolutionized the rest of Europe had very little to no effect on the Russian
government or its citizens. Peter realized that Russia could never be the world power that he wished
it to be until they were on the same level as the rest of Europe. Seeing the dilemma, Peter left Russia
for a period of time to travel Europe, work among the people of different nations, and study the
cultures and governments of Russia's neighbors. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One such fund raising method was the very high taxes which Peter imposed on his subjects. One
particularly odd strategy for gaining funds occurred when attempted to outlaw beards (Beck, Roger
B. Pg. 534), seeing an opportunity, Peter created an optional tax, either a person shaved off their
beard, and stayed clean shaven, or they pay a substantial fine that grants you pardon from the beard
law (Beck, Roger B. Pg. 534). Perhaps one of Peter's greatest desires as the Czar was to obtain a
warm water port for Russia. Up until Peter's reign, Russia had only one substantial port known as
Archangel, however, nearly the entire year Archangel's waters were clogged with with ice,
prohibiting trade or exploration. With a warm water port, Russia would be able to broaden its
horizons as well as bring in a steady flow of money and goods through trade. Eventually, to
accomplish his goal, Peter declared war with Sweden, which lasted 21 years. After the long struggle
with Sweden, Russia finally came out the victor, with a new tract of land as their spoils to do what
they please (Nikiforov, Leonid Alekseyevich, Peter I). Finally, in 1703, Peter began the construction
of a new city on the land that they had taken from Sweden, Peter

Will There Be A Ww2 Essay
Will there be a WWIII? Most likely not. Countries from around the world are trying to prevent this
from happening, because if we have a WWIII, we would be our own demise. First off, There are so
many nuclear warheads in the world, that we could blow up the whole earth. As it says in this
article, from a scientist/mathematician "There are an estimated total of 20,500 nuclear warheads in
the world today. If the average power of these devices is 33,500 Kilotons, there are enough to
destroy the total earth landmass." For comparison, the largest bomb ever detonated was 50 megatons
– or 50000000000000 pounds of TNT. If we can produce 1 pound of TNT per minute, it would take
1,902,540 YEARS to produce the same amount of force one bomb can ... Show more content on

Maybe the terrorists want it though. They seem to like mass destruction. Heres another fact: It
would only take a couple bombs to destroy the US. This is not even counting wind carrying
radioactive dirt and dust miles away. If a bomb was dropped in the UK, people on the east coast of
the US could suffer radiation poisoning. Secondly, thermonuclear bombs, or hydrogen bombs, work
by using the energy of a fission bomb to compress and heat fusion fuel. This means that it has
incredible nuclear fallout, and if only a few were dropped, we would go into nuclear winter, no
crops would grow, and everything would die. Even if they were dropped in the same place at the
same time on the other side of the world, the nuclear winter would engulf the world in a shade,
essentially turning it into a giant snowball and causing another ice age. Going back to the question
on the table, will there be a WWIII? Maybe, if North Korea makes a big mistake. The USA cannot
nuke North Korea because some of the fallout would land onto China, South Korea, and Russia. We
do not want to go to war with Russia, neither China. If we go to war with Russia, then the world
ends, if we go to war with China, its allies would join in and our allies would join in and the world
would end. The geography of North Korea is perfect for them because we would have to resort to
foot combat and carpet bombing, which is not preferable. If we

Investigative Techniques Of A Bomb Investigation
Investigative Techniques
In life every individual develops his or her way in which they do things. For example, you may put
your shoes on and then your coat to go outside while others may do that action in reverse. The key
though is that both people put their shoes and coat on before going outside. Just as in that example
there are certain steps to a bomb investigation, in which some investigators may do in a different
order but in the end all of the steps will be complete. There are certain questions an investigator
must ask while proceeding through those steps as well. The biggest thing that one needs to know
about investigating an explosion is that it is a rare occurrence and in the case of recent events ends
up affecting not only ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, TNT is roughly inexpensive and has roughly 15 different blends and can be detected
through nitro aromatics (Toal, Sanchez, Dugan, & Trogler, 2007). As stated above there are several
different ways in which that compound can be detected is utilizing Photoluminescent Metallole–
containing Polymers.
However, before one can look for any trace or components of an explosive we must first understand
what questions need to be answered. There are five questions that through an investigation must be
answered. If those questions are answered you will most likely arrive at a perpetrator. These five
questions are as follows:
1. Was the explosion accidental or intentional?
2. If it was intentional, what was the target?
3. What was used to make the explosive device?
4. What level of skill was needed to make the device?
5. Where were the materials to make the device obtained from?
If an investigator answers those five questions they more than likely will be able to answer the more
important question of who detonated the device. The question then becomes how one goes about
answering those questions. In a book written by Charles and Gregory O'Hara (2003) there was a
comprehensive guide to these type of investigations that encompass six useful factors:
1. Target
2. Opportunity

The Consequences Of The Atomic Bombs
The not–so wild 1950s frontier were vastly sprawling lands comprised of gorgeous geology. The dry
ecosystem inspires carnivorous creatures to roam the desert in search of their next meal. The sun
bleeds into cascading mountains within the day, blurring the horizon with harmonious colors,
leaving no doubt of natures undisturbed beauty. Those moments, were then interrupted with a
blinding light. An accession of a mushroom cloud followed behind, indicating the destruction of all
in total annihilation. The aftermath leading to the extinction of life as we know it. The explosion
described wasn't naturally occurring, but a demonstration of the United States fission weapons
testing program. The military tested numerous atomic bombs in Nevada's deserts which could be
seen as an everyday occurrence, desensitizing those around it. The testing stopped and slowed down
into continuous looming threat. The atomic bomb was so terrifyingly devastating that many artists
such as: Ed Ruschas' Atomic Princess, Jack Malottes' The End, and Ken Lisbournes' Cape
Thompson! captured in painting the physical and metaphorical repercussion during the aftermath
that I'd like to discuss. First up is Ed Ruschas' Atomic Princess, which I interpreted as the simplest
in terms in painting style compared to Malottes and Lisbournes themes and color use in my opinion.
However, this does not deter away from a metaphorical meaning painted on the canvas. I stared hard

Such dire–sounding headlines only fueled the people's fear of nuclear war more. Upon hearing news
of the affected fishermen and the sheer power of such H–bombs, people began to fear not only of
other countries, like Soviet Russia, planning to develop similar, if not more destructive hydrogen
bombs, but American bomb testings affecting them. "Following atmospheric testing of hydrogen
bombs in 1954, people in and around Seattle, Washington began to report mysterious "pitting"
damage to auto windshields. [...] The incident was shortly followed by a nationwide rush to buy
fallout shelter plans" (Miller 136) The H–bomb testings seemingly spelling doom, according to
1950s media, did not help survival plans make people feel any safer, either. "The film, Duck and
Cover, was shown to schoolchildren beginning in 1950. The cartoon turtle, the cheerful theme song,
and the practical advice were supposed to reassure children who might worry about an atomic
attack. Instead, the images of little Johnny diving off his bicycle convinced children that the bombs

Persuasive Speech On Suicide
Suicide opening weekend! Well guys here it is the movie that's been the topic since last year, its
finally hitting our theater this weekend. I am sure a lot of us are excited and lets be honest our
superhero movies do bring the money. I just want to point out a couple of things so that we can have
a smooth weekend and leave with good money in our pockets. 1. Communication; we have
definitely improved a lot on this, teams that communicate make money, but not only communicate
with your team mates, don't forget about the runners they can do simple stuff like run a sauce or a
refill on fly, and also if you need a manager please know your zone managers, and call them, of
course if they are busy i am sure another manager/supervisor will be able to assist you. ... Show

Pre–Authorization; yes i know most of the handhelds don't do it, all of the iPads can swipe cards so
take advantage of that we all know how awesome it feels to have almost an entire theater cc'd. Team
leaders make sure you remind your team members about pre–authorizing cards. 3. Pre–buzzing; yes
i know we talk about this in every preshift, suicide squad is a 2hr plus movie there will be plenty of
time to do some clean up for the guest, we all know the benefits of doing this i am sure i don't have
to type it out. i know the first 30 40 mins into the movie will be chaotic but try to keep the landings
clear, remove drink holders and trays. Theaters 1,2,5,8,9 try and use the landings on the other side of
the exit door, so that we don't crowd the front with food and drinks. 4. 9 steps of service, very
important to fallow as much as we can the steps this weekend. Please read back your orders and
drop silverware, check your cubbies make sure they are ready, if its a sold out theater preset it, if not
have a tray of silverware ready, napkins out of the plastic if you are gonna put it on the

Emotional Health Guy Winch Analysis
Emotional Health When kids fall and they get a cut, they know that they need to cover the cut so
that it does not get infected. This is taught at such a young age, so that when it happens they are
prepared. But why don't we, as a nation, teach how to practice emotional health. In Guy Winch's
video, "Why we all need to practice emotional first aid" he talks on three main points that as a
society we need to teach how to care for. Winch gives many examples and real life situations to back
up his claim. This video appeals to the audience with winch stating three points: Stop emotional
bleeding, Protect your self–esteem, and battle negative thoughts. Winch mentions that we need to
stop emotional bleeding as one of the steps to emotional health. ... Show more content on

A habit in emotional health that is very common is rumination. Rumination is when something bad
happens to us and we continue to play it over and over in our heads trying to figure out a way we
could have change the situation. Winch says that this is very risking when we continue the negative
thoughts, "You are actually putting yourself at significant risk for developing clinical depression,
alcoholism, eating disorders, and even cardiovascular disease." These are all huge risks people take
when they do not take care of their emotional health. I believe that this is Winches strongest
statement, because it shows that if we continue to only treat our physical needs and not our
emotional ones, our emotional needs will turn into physical issues. Winch takes a personal turn on
this statement, his brother was diagnosed with stage 3 non–Hodgkin's lymphoma, and his cancer
was aggressive. Winch explains that he couldn't stop thinking about everything his brother was
going through, but his brother was extremely positive throughout it all. He explains what he did to
continually break the negative thinking, "An so each time I had a worrying, upsetting, negative
thought, I forced myself to concentrate on something else until the urge passes. And within one
week my whole outlook changed and became more positive and more hopeful." This is the kind of
information that needs to be taught at a younger age along with

Ivan The Terrible Research Paper
Ivan IV also mainly known as Ivan the Terrible was a famous Russian born monarch that used the
name czar as a title of his reign. He granted a lot of power in 1543 by killing a Shuisky member and
letting his family known as Glinsky, have more power in the Russian government. In January of
1547 he gained full power and a few months after, Moscow caught fire and killed more than 1,700
people making many protests go against the Glinsky family making Ivan IV wanting an emergency

people that did not like Ivan IV. The police was made to have no involvement in government and

nicest of men. This targeted mostly Russian nobles and aristocrats because they were educated and
had power in Russia. Since the nobles and aristocrats received low power because of Ivan the
terrible's new policies of the Sudebnik, the angry people went against the monarch and the
government. However that was where the nobles went wrong because the Oprichniki police went
after many of them to kill and take their lands. As many would think, the police would be in effect to
protect and help the leader so nothing happens to him and his family like Ivan IV. However the
police were not the nicest and cleanest of people because of the fact that the actions they did to

Bombs Bursting In London Analysis
The author reference to bombs bursting in air is in relation to the hard times in life. Johnson's use of
the word bombs is figuratively. Some examples that Johnson references are far–off explosions,
which include events that occurred to people outside her circle of family and friends. For instance,
the little girl who was absent from school for a week and when she returned, she no longer lived
with her mother. Other examples of far–off explosions are, the girl who throw up in the bathroom
every morning and the friendly custodian who was sudden fired. The other type reference by
Johnson were closer explosions, which were events that happened within in her circle of family and

Most Powerful Weapon Ever Created By Austin Perkins
Austin Perkins Ever since man has come into existence we have killed with rocks, spears, clubs,
knifes, swords, arrows, cannons, guns and, unfortunately, bombs. In 2077 man unleashed the full
force of the most powerful weapon ever created, a hydrogen bomb nicknamed the Tsar Bomba, a
hydrogen bomb with 50 megatons of explosive power. 1 megaton is equal to a million tons of TNT;
the "Little Boy" that was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 was only a mere .02. The fallout
of such a weapon nearly destroyed the world we lived in, but didn't end it. In the beginning,
thousands were able to survive by relocating to underground shelters called vaults. When they
finally came out, there was nothing but the apocalyptic wastes for them to see. Buildings were
demolished, the landscape was scorched, the water was undrinkable, and the creatures were unholy.
When Hell's gates opened there was one vault, however, that kept its gates closed. Vault 101 kept its
giant metal door closed and never let anyone in or out. Inside were the inhabitants who were all
looked over by an Overseer, who could be a mayor in some vaults or a god in others. They control
everything in the vaults from what foods you eat to what you will do in the future. Everyone knows
each other in a vault and everyone has a role to play, whether that role is a doctor or a tattoo artist.
The one thing they all have in common is that they were born in the vault, lived in the vault, and
eventually will die in the vault. That

The Russian Revolution Essay
The Russian Revolution
Here are some of the causes of the Russian Revolution in March 1917:
~Failures in the War
~The mutiny in the Army
~The Tsarina and Rasputin
~Food Shortages
~Strikes
PREFACE:
In 1904 The Tsar of Russia (Nicholas II) embarked on a war with Japan, hoping for a quick and
glorious victory that would unite the country, decrease support for the Tsar's opponents and gain
control over Korea and Manchuria. Unfortunately for the Tsar, the Japanese were well prepared,
both industrially and military. The Japanese crushed the Russian army and destroyed most of it's
fleet. Damaged both militarily and industrially, Russia had to sign a peace treaty. In 1905 the Tsar
crushed the attempted revolution using ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The other reason was transporting the crop once it was harvested. ` The USA could fit into Russia
two and a half times and over and Britain nearly 100 times`4, the problem with transportation was
that the railroads were very often the only way to transport large amounts of goods as Russia's
conditions often made roads impassable. `By 1900 Russia had only as many miles of track as
Britain`5 and Britain was 100 times smaller. This meant that there were very large delays of
delivering food and most of it rotted before even reaching town. The only way of transporting goods
from the industrial West to the unfarmable East was the Trans Siberian Express, which took more
than a week to complete its journey from Moscow to Vladivostok. During the WWI (which started
in 1914), Food Shortages increased greatly because more strikes begun demanding an end to the
war. Strikes of course caused food shortages as peasants began striking and not producing any food.
Also more soldiers were needed to join the army and so the factory workers were taken to fight and
peasants left the countryside to seek better jobs in factories so fewer farmers were left to grow food.
Another very important reason that caused an increase in food shortage was that ` the Russian
railway system was being used to carry supplies to the war front and so trains carrying food to the
cities had been reduced`1so

The Manhattan Project was a facility in Los Alamos, where work and research for the atomic and
hydrogen bombs were conducted. The Manhattan Project started with resources split between the
atomic and hydrogen bomb. Soon after, the atomic bomb turned out to be more difficult than the
scientists expected. This meant most of the scientists went and worked on the atomic bomb while

Personal Narrative Essay: The Rise Of The Atomic Bomb
I never believed that the bomb would actually drop. I thought that it would just be a threat, like it
always was. I wanted to believe that everything would be okay after the fact and that everything
would go back to normal. That wasn't the case. When the bomb touched down, I was outside in the
park, among many others. I was walking rusty. I was going to meet Tom in the park. Rusty was
about a year old at the time, just shedded all of his puppy fur. Thank god I took him with me. If I left
him in the apartment, he would have died, and he is one of the only things I have left from my
parents, who gave him to me after the car crash. I was walking toward the park bench were me and

I knew that he must have been on his way, maybe even in the park, but I could not find him. I was
desperate to find him, he was one of my only friends. The bomb dropped maybe 30 miles from the
park, so we didn't get the worst end of the deal, but there was still mass destruction in the park itself.
I could feel the radiation on my skin, burning. Think of the worse sunburn you have ever had, then
times that by 5. I can't imagine what the people must have felt like who were 5 miles from the bomb
explosion. It must have felt at least ten times worse that what I felt that day. The hair on rusty didn't

the explosion. It was chaos. People sprinting for their lives, like they were being chased by
monsters. I wasn't running, not even walking. I was in shock, on the ground, hugging rusty, tears
streaming down my cheeks. After maybe a minute of sitting on the ground, I felt hands on my
shoulders, shaking vigorously. "Melissa!", he shouted. I recognized the voice, but everything was so
hazy in my eyes, I could barely stand when he helped me up. When my sight started to clear, there

Tsar Bomba Essay
The Tsar Bomba is the largest nuclear bomb ever detonated. It was detonated on October 30, 1961.
It had a yield of 50 megatons, about 1,570 times more powerful than the bombs dropped on
Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. It was also about 25% of the Krakatoa volcanic eruption of
1883. In theory the Tsar Bomba could've had a 100 megaton yield, if it wasn't rushed, and included
the U–238 tamper. The idea of the bomb was first thought of on July 10, 1961 during a meeting with
Khrushchev and their senior weapon designer, Andrei Sakharov. The development of the bomb was
rushed, because Khrushchev wanted it to be detonated during the 22nd Congress of the Communist
Party. Which was going to be held October 17 through the 31. The design of the bomb posed

CBRN Tactics
When talking about CBRN devices and tactics that may be used in a terrorist attack, people
envidiblity think about what is commonly referred to as a "dirty bomb", or a RDD (radiological
dispersal device). This type of device offers many advantages to an individual or group wanting to
cause harm or more importantly cause terror. These types of devices are rudimentary in design and
their basic purpose is to spread radioactive debris in a manner that it will be absorbed by as many
people as possible. The means of spreading this material can come in various forms. The typical
design would involve explosives and a radioactive element that would disperse rapidly upon
activation of the explosive device. There are other methods that a terrorist ... Show more content on

Any type of bomb is going to cause damage purely from the energy that is released when the device
detonates. There is great amount of kinetic force that is released in the form of a shock wave. This
alone can cause death, as well as serious injury to people in the area, and the severity of this injury is
determined by the strength of the device and proximity to the actual event at the time of detonation.
Secondary injuries or casualties might be caused from materials that are projected by the force of the
blast. Furniture, building materials, and in some cases, people themselves can be thrown with such
force that upon impact with another person can cause grave damage. Next there is a thermal element
to such a device. Detonation of any explosive creates a large amount of heat that is a by–product of
the chemical reaction of the explosive material as it is set off. People in the immediate area would be
severely injured or killed by this element alone. Once again the radius of damage would be
proportional to the relative proximity to the device upon detonation. Last but not least with this type
of device is the radiological property. The explosive element is almost secondary as it serves as a
delivery method for the

The Regime Of The 1905 Revolution
It is evident that Nicholas II was mainly to blame for the 1905, due to his lack of response to the
growing discontent amongst the Russian people. Although it could be argued that the actions of
previous Tsars were the cause of this discontent, and this was certainly influential, Nicholas ' failure
to act upon his people 's requests was ultimately the cause of the revolution.
The repressive Tsarist system in place in 1905 was arguably one of the most significant factors in
the 1905 revolution, as much of the discontent in Russia was due to anger at Nicholas ' autocratic
Tsarist government. It could be argued that the repressive Tsarist system was not the fault of
Nicholas II, but instead a problem that had been in existence for decades before his reign began. For
example, Nicholas ' predecessor Alexander III was also committed to the preservation of the
autocracy, and arguably took steps towards repression, through Russification and censorship, in
addition to the introduction of the Okhrana. Therefore, it could be argued that Nicholas was not to
blame for the repressive Tsarist system or its consequences, due to the fact that it had been in
existence before his reign began.
However, as Nicholas did little to stop the government being so repressive, it could be argued that
he was still to blame. Despite widespread calls for reform from individuals such as Father Gapon,
these requests were not acted upon, so in some ways Nicholas II can be held to account for the

The cops believed that John had something to do with the bombing, because he was at the site of the
bomb before it was detonated. The bomb was planted inside of a hole where a tree was being

company the day of the attack. Because John was the suspect, the police went to his house to talk to
him and see if he was guilty of these crimes. John was coerced by the sheriff to step outside and talk
to them, but right as he walked outside he was shot. Somebody in the woods fired a high caliber
round through John's chest instantly killing him. Stone states: "Well, I guess we know now that
kravitz was part of the bombing plot" (Baldacci 195). This shows that John was shot so that he
wouldn't tell the cops information about the bombing. Whether he was forced into planting the

the bombing. Overall, this was a good play on the enemies part in keeping there identities

Changes Throughout History
The past has always influenced the future in which many generations will live in. Sometimes
incidents and ideas are warnings but other times, these incidents and ideas can evolve into
something that can help the future in time. From 1945 to 2015, society has been changing and
improving the science behind bombs and from 1969 to 1977, the world has escalated their
determination on putting men into space whereas even music and musicians during the years 1968
to 1980 influenced people's way of life. From political, social, and technological changes, the past
allows generations to evolve in life as individuals and as a society.
Both politics and political issues have changed society's views on the world. On July 16, 1945, the
first atomic bomb was dropped. The United States established the Manhattan Project, comprised of
the country's leading scientists to create a bomb, which led to the creation of the atomic bomb,
which was to be dropped onto Japan. From the bomb, 90,000 to 146,000 people were killed in
Hiroshima and 39,000 to 80,000 people were killed in Nagasaki. The atomic bomb wiped out many
blocks and destroyed many streets and buildings. This bomb was the most deadly bomb to
successfully drop in that time. However, in 1954, the United States successfully detonated the first
hydrogen bomb in the Pacific. This bomb was 1,000 times more powerful than regular

Hiroshima Essay examples
Hiroshima The stories and events that unfold in John Hersey's, Hiroshima, have certainly been eye–
openers for me. As a child in middle school and high school I, we have all heard of the atomic bomb
and of course of Hiroshima, but never in as much detail or on such a personal level as these stories.
Not even in chemistry or physics class, where I learned some of the specifics as to how the bomb
works, had I known of the destructive force of the bomb or it's gruesome effects on human beings.
As I mentioned before, this book was quite an eye–opener for me because it has taught me just how
deadly nuclear weapons can be not only on material properties, but on human beings, and why
nuclear weapons must never again be used is such a way. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The first story of the book we hear is that of the Reverend Tanimoto. He is dropping off some goods
at a friend's house for safekeeping some 3,500 yards, or two miles, away from the center of the
explosion and that house crumbles to the ground from the force of the blast. That seems so amazing
to me because in such a huge city, most of the time, you cannot even see two miles away. It may be
difficult for most people to appreciate the force of a bomb that can destroy something two miles
away, but most airplane bombs only destroy things within about 100 yards. That would be
everything within a football field completely wiped out, now imagine something that could level
everything within 35 football fields!
The book also accounts just how much pressure the bomb exerted and how hot the bomb blast was
according to scientists of the time. These were two other awesome statistics. The pressure of the
blast was estimated to be somewhere between 5.3 to 8 tons per square yard. A yard is slightly larger
than a person's arm and most people cannot lift more than a hundred pounds on one arm. Imagine
having over 10,000 pounds, or five tons, of pressure being exerted on your arms? It's almost
unbelievable. The heat given off by the blast is just as astonishing a number as the pressure. There
was evidence that clay tiles, whose melting point is thirteen times hotter than that of the boiling
point of water, had

house, to celebrate the joyous occasion of my birthday. Halfway throughout the party, my son had
come up to us and mentioned that he heard the news anchor say, "Tune in to the conrad channel." Of
course, we were all concerned, and felt uneasy, and knew that it was time to make a run for it. It's
been 15 years since that day, but the moment still haunts me today. When we found out that a
nuclear bomb was going to drop, my family and the rest of the street had no idea what to do.
Everything was all over the place, seconds after the explosion happened. Houses were destroyed,
cars were flipped and ravaged, and thousands of dead bodies were lying on the streets. Some of
them were even our dearest friends. Before the explosion happened, nothing was going as wanted.
Chaos had filled in my house. It was every man for himself. My wife was agitated, and my son
(Paul) had no clue of what was going

Nicholas Romanov II Research Paper
Nicholas Romanov II was born on the 18 May 1868 and came into reign in 1894 becoming Tsar of
Russia, continuing the Romanov rule since 1613. His coronation celebrations saw huge crowds
lining the streets (as seen in source 1). As in the past all Tsars were believed to be chosen by god to
rule and Tsar Nicholas II was no exception, the people of Russia saw him as their 'Little Father'.
During his first years of Tsar, Russia was ranked among the world's greatest powers; it was a time of
peace and prosperity.
Though succeeding his father in 1894 at the age of 26, he had few of the skills needed, was under–
prepared and inexperienced in politics in other words he was politically naïve. As said by Kerensky,
the leader of the government that took ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Alexandra had also reassured Nicholas to turn to Rasputin, a Serbian mystic to heal his son, Alexei
who had inherited Haemophilia B. his success in healing their son saw Rasputin gain increasing
influence over the Empress and therefor the Tsar.
As an autocrat Nicholas II expected unquestioning loyalty and obedience from the Russian people,
loyalty which was gained through the Russian Orthodox Church. The church taught and encouraged
the Russian people to love and respect their Tsar by promoting 'The Divine Right of Kings', meaning
that the Tsar was appointed by god to rule and he therefor had absolute power. His absolute power
also came from fear, as his secret police, the Okhrana would act viciously to anyone who opposed
the Tsar.
It was in the 1900s when the Tsars rule came into question. At that point in time Russia was at the
edge of catastrophe, as the harvests had failed and there was an economic depression, this saw the
peasants and workers resorting to riots, protests and strikes. The end of the monarchy was ultimately
brought down by the Tsars incompetence and mediocre

The Atomic Bomb Was Necessary
The Atomic Bomb was needed to be Used then, but not now Cullen J. Babcock I002 FALL 15 HIST
102 Dr. Lilia Anand American Military University Abstract The Atomic Bomb or known Atom
Bomb was created by a scientist, which assembled the first bomb. He and General Leslie Graves
officially and successfully tested it in New Mexico, July 21, 1945. Despite this, two refugees from
Italy and Germany in the early 1940's, Enrico Fermi and Leo Szilard were the first to ever produce a
controlled chain reaction. The bomb was created to use during WW2 and end it. This was big for
America as president Franklin was notified that Germany was working on a similar weapon to use
on America and its Allies. This bomb was needed to win the war and it took approximately 160,000
lives as a result while also having many affects on the people then, the people today, and the
environment (Henretta, Edwards, & Self, 2012). The US was the first and only country to this day to
drop an atomic bomb on another country, not once, but twice. This did end the war; however, the
results were quite devastating to Japan. The environment and lives lost were all greatly impacted
however, the world as a whole would be impacted for years to come. It also had its political
reasoning behind it to show the global power of America. The devastation caused by the bombs also
created deterrence from using them in the future at the time. Furthermore, now as other countries
have improved technological

Outline Of Anecdotal Speech

  • 1. Outline Of Anecdotal Speech Anecdotal Speech Outline Intro: Bombs are very dangerous and are not to be messed with. Going from a fart bomb all the way to nuclear weapons of mass destruction bombs are not supposed to be taken lightly. Today I will talk to you about how a simple mistake of identifying a toy for a bomb at school led to a unintentional day off. I will first explain to you why we had our day off, about the events that took place that day, and what happened that following Monday. Body: It was Friday January 24th 2014 and we were already two weeks in the second semester of my junior year. So I wake up and get ready for school like any normal day *well that's what I thought*. Every morning before school begins my brother and I park by some of our teammates ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We started our day off with having friends over at Ryan's house we ordered pizzas played video games and listened to music. As a couple hours passed by we decided that we needed to be in some water but nobody wanted to drive to the beach. Greg thought of going to a nearby pool where there was no security and hop the fence. So we called up a couple of our friends and had squad trip at the pool. At this moment it is about 12 o'clock and Ryan gets a call from his mom saying that the school called. They said what appeared to be a bomb was actually the inner mechanical workings of a toy. They went on to say that the students were never told to go home and that everyone who does not show up will be marked truant. We saw no point in going back so we continued on with our pool day. Now I fast forward to the evening I checked in at home see how my mom was doing. I come home to find out my mom was oblivious to all the events that took place because she was sleeping all day after coming home from work. That night my mom went back to work so I decided to go back out with my friends. I got picked up by Greg, Koy, and Ryan. They tell me that we are having a bonfire tonight at Ryan's house and more people are on their way. So we spend the night at Ryan's house eating s'mores and having a good ... • 3. Terrorism In Texas News response Recently in Austin, Texas there have been a series of bombings. Three bombings have occurred in total, one on March 2nd and two on March 12th. Authorities believe the bombings are connected because the method of delivery was identical. Specifically, the bombs were all placed in unmarked packages on the victims' front door steps. Two African American males were killed and a Hispanic women was seriously injured. CNN covered a story regarding the bombings titled "These Austin residents fear that the explosions may be racially motivated." The article discussed why residents feel the attacks are racially motivated. Obviously, the primary reason is that none of the victims were Caucasian. Chas Moore, the executive director of the Austin Justice Coalition, summarized the feelings of many residents stating "We do feel targeted. Until it happens to somebody that is not a person of color I think that is going to remain the same." In addition to the demographics of the victims, Moore cited the unacknowledged racial tension in the city as evidence of the probability the attacks were racially motivated. Namely, because it is one of the few liberal locations in Texas, wealthy white college educated individuals have been moving into the city ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Conflict Theory focuses on inequality and how factors such as race keep people oppressed. Specifically, the article claims the reason why the victims were targeted was because they were not white and we have an inequality of races in the United States. Furthermore, the article includes quotes from individuals who believe that the inequality of races in the United States caused a disparity in police responding. For instance, one member of the Austin community questioned the integrity of the Austin Police Department by asking "What are you doing to make sure your officers are sharp and not targeting black and brown ... • 5. Persuasive Essay On Atomic Bombs Have you ever noticed how dangerous the world can be? While some of us think that we are safe, there are a lot of people who disagree. Today we have all these bombs of mass destruction, and this is a great fear to a lot of people. We now have enough of these bombs worldwide, and it can wipe out most of living organisms. Yes, the U.S. does have these bombs for protection, but the U.S. isn't the only one with them, there are a lot of countries that also have them, and this is what alarms everyone. Are these bombs truly our go to weapon when it's time to fight? These bombs can leak radiation, cause damage and millions of casualties to our planet, but we won't blink an eye once they are used on the people who have done us harm. Now we have more advanced bombs that can cause much more damage than the bombs used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. These bombs like atomic bombs nuclear bombs etc. can reach a much bigger range in diameter. The biggest bomb in the world is called the tsar bomb which is 1500 times bigger than the bombs used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. You can only imagine how many innocent lives can be affected using only this bomb Atomic bombs are weapons of mass destruction. The definition says it all. They do not cause peace, they cause mass destruction, mass destruction of cities countries etc. The first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima japan. This was done after the attack on pearl harbor. When japan attacked the united states, the united states suffered ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Persuasive Speech On My Last Day Go back in time. Imagine yourself walking in the streets of Hiroshima. Eating breakfast, walking to school, riding the train to work. You're squinting your eyes looking at the sun and you think to yourself "I'm going to have a wonderful day." You suddenly see a bright flash. It's so hot you just disintegrate. You just disappear from the world. Not even a single trace of you. 8:15, August 6, 1945 was a day so terrifying, a day so horrifying the people's stories will be in our hearts forever. There were many places we went around in Hiroshima, Miyajima and Kyoto but to me the Peace Park was the most memorable. It shows how horrifying just one bomb, can be and how many people it can kill and affect. When I went to this trip, I mostly thought. Thought what would happen if this was my last day. What I would do if this "special" bomb affected me. What would I suffer through? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Around 140,000 people died from the explosion and radiation in total. Many people suffered for decades and people still suffer today, not just physically but mentally as well. Thinking about all the people that died, all the people they lost. I think that everyone in their lifetime should go to the Peace Park because you can see all the suffering people went through and how important world peace is. Since you might not have time and you have a tight schedule, I'm going recommend my top 3 artifacts and my top monuments there that was the most interesting and most memorable. Artifacts in the ... • 9. Hiroshima; Right or Wrong? Essay 1) Describe the main arguments, reasons, and evidence that support the perspective of Historian A. – Historian A had a lot of reasonable and strong perspectives on the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. She views the United States was not justified in dropping the bomb. A huge argument begins with the U.S. knowing that Japan was trying to surrender. This is a great example of unnecessarily kicking someone when they are already down. The Japanese wanted peace and tried to surrender, the only condition was that they could keep their emperor. The U.S. declined and said they had to have an "unconditional surrender." After the bombing, the U.S. let Japan keep their emperor anyway. The U.S. could have saved so many lives if they had ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... America had a bad experience with letting a condition slide during World War 1, which was a mistake and led to the next World War. The U.S. did not want to risk more war and denied Japan of their condition. They also believed that if they allowed Japan to keep their emperor, it would encourage Japan to be more resistant against the U.S. to see what they could get away with. We also didn't want to show any signs of weakness by straining our strict policy of not accepting anything less than "unconditional surrender." Historian B claims that Japan actually wanted more than just their emperor, which shows that the bombs were necessary to keep out further war. The quick dropping of the bombs wasn't to keep Russia out of war considering the U.S. did not know the exact date of Russian entry. Officers were instructed to drop the bombs when weather was appropriate and the quicker to end the war, the better. The bomb was also not used to scare the Russia considering the Russians were too resistant to U.S. policies in Europe. The use of the bomb being dropped on empty land would have been a waste of a bomb and time. It took two bombings on Japan to bring the surrender shows that the bombing of empty land would not have been effective. The committee also recommended it be used on military targets. Importantly, the U.S. warned Japan that the use of an atomic bomb would be ordered against them unless they accepted ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Tsar Bomba Research Paper Tsar bomba, a.k.a. Hydrogen bomb, is the most powerful nuclear weapon ever to be created. The leading scientists for the soviets – Andrei Sakharov, Yakov Borisovich Zel'dovich, Yulii Borisovich Khariton, and Yuri Trutnev – are the physicists most credited for its creation. The Tsar Bomba was first tested in 1961 above Mityushikha Bay; all 50 megatons and 60,000 pounds of it was dropped 13,000 feet in the air and the power from the tsar bomb was 10 times stronger than all the explosives used in WWⅡ combined. Nuclear bombs are always considered morally wrong when used, because of the effect they have on a country not only are you killing thousands of people innocent or not, you are destroying the infrastructure or the heart of an entire nation. A flash of a shining light plunges everything into a murky darkness. The fading screams erupt around you. Agony devours your bloody raw body and you look for your family, but they are part of the same deathly silence that had engulfed the burning city. Blood mixes with the tears streaming down your face and the sweet light leaves your young eyes forever and you become part of the hushed ashes of your childhood city. The atom bomb was the cause of a brutal massacre of two towns that ended a war of billions and the start of the ending era of our world. The atomic bomb is a weapon of mass destruction. In other words, "In the atomic bomb, the very power of the universe had been harnessed to create the most destructive weapon imaginable." (Ogwyn 1) That catastrophic power of the universe was put into a weapon, a weapon that would later have the power in numbers to destroy the whole world and every soul in it. They have the capability of wiping out populations of people, destroying entire ecosystems, tearing down cities in a matter of seconds. These weapons are unlike any other for they are unique in their tenacious, dispersing, genetically damaging radioactive after effects. • 24. Essay On Peter The Great Peter the Great ruled over Russia from 1682 to 1725. Known as a key force in the reformation of the Russian economy, and the country as a whole, Peter wished to bring his country into a new era. Up until his reign, Russia had been trapped in a medieval like state, cut off from its European neighbors; the Renaissance that revolutionized the rest of Europe had very little to no effect on the Russian government or its citizens. Peter realized that Russia could never be the world power that he wished it to be until they were on the same level as the rest of Europe. Seeing the dilemma, Peter left Russia for a period of time to travel Europe, work among the people of different nations, and study the cultures and governments of Russia's neighbors. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One such fund raising method was the very high taxes which Peter imposed on his subjects. One particularly odd strategy for gaining funds occurred when attempted to outlaw beards (Beck, Roger B. Pg. 534), seeing an opportunity, Peter created an optional tax, either a person shaved off their beard, and stayed clean shaven, or they pay a substantial fine that grants you pardon from the beard law (Beck, Roger B. Pg. 534). Perhaps one of Peter's greatest desires as the Czar was to obtain a warm water port for Russia. Up until Peter's reign, Russia had only one substantial port known as Archangel, however, nearly the entire year Archangel's waters were clogged with with ice, prohibiting trade or exploration. With a warm water port, Russia would be able to broaden its horizons as well as bring in a steady flow of money and goods through trade. Eventually, to accomplish his goal, Peter declared war with Sweden, which lasted 21 years. After the long struggle with Sweden, Russia finally came out the victor, with a new tract of land as their spoils to do what they please (Nikiforov, Leonid Alekseyevich, Peter I). • 26. Will There Be A Ww2 Essay Will there be a WWIII? Most likely not. Countries from around the world are trying to prevent this from happening, because if we have a WWIII, we would be our own demise. First off, There are so many nuclear warheads in the world, that we could blow up the whole earth. As it says in this article, from a scientist/mathematician "There are an estimated total of 20,500 nuclear warheads in the world today. If the average power of these devices is 33,500 Kilotons, there are enough to destroy the total earth landmass." For comparison, the largest bomb ever detonated was 50 megatons – or 50000000000000 pounds of TNT. If we can produce 1 pound of TNT per minute, it would take 1,902,540 YEARS to produce the same amount of force one bomb can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Maybe the terrorists want it though. They seem to like mass destruction. Heres another fact: It would only take a couple bombs to destroy the US. This is not even counting wind carrying radioactive dirt and dust miles away. If a bomb was dropped in the UK, people on the east coast of the US could suffer radiation poisoning. Secondly, thermonuclear bombs, or hydrogen bombs, work by using the energy of a fission bomb to compress and heat fusion fuel. This means that it has incredible nuclear fallout, and if only a few were dropped, we would go into nuclear winter, no crops would grow, and everything would die. Even if they were dropped in the same place at the same time on the other side of the world, the nuclear winter would engulf the world in a shade, essentially turning it into a giant snowball and causing another ice age. Going back to the question on the table, will there be a WWIII? Maybe, if North Korea makes a big mistake. The USA cannot nuke North Korea because some of the fallout would land onto China, South Korea, and Russia. We do not want to go to war with Russia, neither China. If we go to war with Russia, then the world ends, if we go to war with China, its allies would join in and our allies would join in and the world would end. For example, you may put your shoes on and then your coat to go outside while others may do that action in reverse. The key though is that both people put their shoes and coat on before going outside. Just as in that example there are certain steps to a bomb investigation, in which some investigators may do in a different order but in the end all of the steps will be complete. There are certain questions an investigator must ask while proceeding through those steps as well. The biggest thing that one needs to know about investigating an explosion is that it is a rare occurrence and in the case of recent events ends up affecting not only ... As stated above there are several different ways in which that compound can be detected is utilizing Photoluminescent Metallole– containing Polymers. However, before one can look for any trace or components of an explosive we must first understand what questions need to be answered. There are five questions that through an investigation must be answered. If those questions are answered you will most likely arrive at a perpetrator. These five questions are as follows: 1. Was the explosion accidental or intentional? 2. If it was intentional, what was the target? 3. What was used to make the explosive device? 4. What level of skill was needed to make the device? 5. Where were the materials to make the device obtained from? If an investigator answers those five questions they more than likely will be able to answer the more important question of who detonated the device. The question then becomes how one goes about answering those questions. In a book written by Charles and Gregory O'Hara (2003) there was a comprehensive guide to these type of investigations that encompass six useful factors: 1. Target 2. Opportunity 3. ... The military tested numerous atomic bombs in Nevada's deserts which could be seen as an everyday occurrence, desensitizing those around it. The testing stopped and slowed down into continuous looming threat. The atomic bomb was so terrifyingly devastating that many artists such as: Ed Ruschas' Atomic Princess, Jack Malottes' The End, and Ken Lisbournes' Cape Thompson! captured in painting the physical and metaphorical repercussion during the aftermath that I'd like to discuss. "Following atmospheric testing of hydrogen bombs in 1954, people in and around Seattle, Washington began to report mysterious "pitting" damage to auto windshields. Most Powerful Weapon Ever Created By Austin Perkins Austin Perkins Ever since man has come into existence we have killed with rocks, spears, clubs, knifes, swords, arrows, cannons, guns and, unfortunately, bombs. In 2077 man unleashed the full force of the most powerful weapon ever created, a hydrogen bomb nicknamed the Tsar Bomba, a hydrogen bomb with 50 megatons of explosive power. 1 megaton is equal to a million tons of TNT; the "Little Boy" that was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 was only a mere .02. The fallout of such a weapon nearly destroyed the world we lived in, but didn't end it. In the beginning, thousands were able to survive by relocating to underground shelters called vaults. When they finally came out, there was nothing but the apocalyptic wastes for them to see. Buildings were demolished, the landscape was scorched, the water was undrinkable, and the creatures were unholy. When Hell's gates opened there was one vault, however, that kept its gates closed. Vault 101 kept its giant metal door closed and never let anyone in or out. Inside were the inhabitants who were all looked over by an Overseer, who could be a mayor in some vaults or a god in others. They control everything in the vaults from what foods you eat to what you will do in the future. Everyone knows each other in a vault and everyone has a role to play, whether that role is a doctor or a tattoo artist. The one thing they all have in common is that they were born in the vault, lived in the vault, and eventually will die in the vault. That ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Russian Revolution Essay The Russian Revolution Here are some of the causes of the Russian Revolution in March 1917: ~Failures in the War ~The mutiny in the Army ~The Tsarina and Rasputin ~Food Shortages ~Strikes PREFACE: In 1904 The Tsar of Russia (Nicholas II) embarked on a war with Japan, hoping for a quick and glorious victory that would unite the country, decrease support for the Tsar's opponents and gain control over Korea and Manchuria. Unfortunately for the Tsar, the Japanese were well prepared, both industrially and military. The Japanese crushed the Russian army and destroyed most of it's fleet. Damaged both militarily and industrially, Russia had to sign a peace treaty. In 1905 the Tsar crushed the attempted revolution using ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The other reason was transporting the crop once it was harvested. ` The USA could fit into Russia two and a half times and over and Britain nearly 100 times`4, the problem with transportation was that the railroads were very often the only way to transport large amounts of goods as Russia's conditions often made roads impassable. `By 1900 Russia had only as many miles of track as Britain`5 and Britain was 100 times smaller. This meant that there were very large delays of delivering food and most of it rotted before even reaching town. The only way of transporting goods from the industrial West to the unfarmable East was the Trans Siberian Express, which took more than a week to complete its journey from Moscow to Vladivostok. During the WWI (which started in 1914), Food Shortages increased greatly because more strikes begun demanding an end to the war. Strikes of course caused food shortages as peasants began striking and not producing any food. Also more soldiers were needed to join the army and so the factory workers were taken to fight and peasants left the countryside to seek better jobs in factories so fewer farmers were left to grow food. Another very important reason that caused an increase in food shortage was that ` the Russian railway system was being used to carry supplies to the war front and so trains carrying food to the cities had been reduced`1so ... "Convert Megatonnes to Pounds." This is how much energy the biggest bomb built by the United States gave off. The hydrogen bomb was a terrific and terrifying advance in science. The Manhattan Project was a facility in Los Alamos, where work and research for the atomic and hydrogen bombs were conducted. The Manhattan Project started with resources split between the atomic and hydrogen bomb. Soon after, the atomic bomb turned out to be more difficult than the scientists expected. This meant most of the scientists went and worked on the atomic bomb while only a few worked on the hydrogen bomb. Enrico Fermi said the hydrogen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 54. Personal Narrative Essay: The Rise Of The Atomic Bomb I never believed that the bomb would actually drop. I thought that it would just be a threat, like it always was. I wanted to believe that everything would be okay after the fact and that everything would go back to normal. That wasn't the case. When the bomb touched down, I was outside in the park, among many others. I was walking rusty. I was going to meet Tom in the park. Rusty was about a year old at the time, just shedded all of his puppy fur. Thank god I took him with me. If I left him in the apartment, he would have died, and he is one of the only things I have left from my parents, who gave him to me after the car crash. I knew that he must have been on his way, maybe even in the park, but I could not find him. I was desperate to find him, he was one of my only friends. The bomb dropped maybe 30 miles from the park, so we didn't get the worst end of the deal, but there was still mass destruction in the park itself. I could feel the radiation on my skin, burning. Think of the worse sunburn you have ever had, then times that by 5. I can't imagine what the people must have felt like who were 5 miles from the bomb explosion. It must have felt at least ten times worse that what I felt that day. The hair on rusty didn't shed, good thing too, that is a sure sign of deathly radiation poisoning. I crippled on the ground after the explosion. It was chaos. People sprinting for their lives, like they were being chased by monsters. I wasn't running, not even walking. I was in shock, on the ground, hugging rusty, tears streaming down my cheeks. After maybe a minute of sitting on the ground, I felt hands on my shoulders, shaking vigorously. "Melissa!", he shouted. • 56. Tsar Bomba Essay The Tsar Bomba is the largest nuclear bomb ever detonated. It was detonated on October 30, 1961. It had a yield of 50 megatons, about 1,570 times more powerful than the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. It was also about 25% of the Krakatoa volcanic eruption of 1883. In theory the Tsar Bomba could've had a 100 megaton yield, if it wasn't rushed, and included the U–238 tamper. The idea of the bomb was first thought of on July 10, 1961 during a meeting with Khrushchev and their senior weapon designer, Andrei Sakharov. The development of the bomb was rushed, because Khrushchev wanted it to be detonated during the 22nd Congress of the Communist Party. Which was going to be held October 17 through the 31. CBRN Tactics When talking about CBRN devices and tactics that may be used in a terrorist attack, people envidiblity think about what is commonly referred to as a "dirty bomb", or a RDD (radiological dispersal device). This type of device offers many advantages to an individual or group wanting to cause harm or more importantly cause terror. These types of devices are rudimentary in design and their basic purpose is to spread radioactive debris in a manner that it will be absorbed by as many people as possible. The means of spreading this material can come in various forms. The typical design would involve explosives and a radioactive element that would disperse rapidly upon activation of the explosive device. There are other methods that a terrorist ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Any type of bomb is going to cause damage purely from the energy that is released when the device detonates. There is great amount of kinetic force that is released in the form of a shock wave. This alone can cause death, as well as serious injury to people in the area, and the severity of this injury is determined by the strength of the device and proximity to the actual event at the time of detonation. Secondary injuries or casualties might be caused from materials that are projected by the force of the blast. Furniture, building materials, and in some cases, people themselves can be thrown with such force that upon impact with another person can cause grave damage. Next there is a thermal element to such a device. Detonation of any explosive creates a large amount of heat that is a by–product of the chemical reaction of the explosive material as it is set off. People in the immediate area would be severely injured or killed by this element alone. Once again the radius of damage would be proportional to the relative proximity to the device upon detonation. Last but not least with this type of device is the radiological property. The explosive element is almost secondary as it serves as a delivery method for the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 62. The Regime Of The 1905 Revolution It is evident that Nicholas II was mainly to blame for the 1905, due to his lack of response to the growing discontent amongst the Russian people. Although it could be argued that the actions of previous Tsars were the cause of this discontent, and this was certainly influential, Nicholas ' failure to act upon his people 's requests was ultimately the cause of the revolution. The repressive Tsarist system in place in 1905 was arguably one of the most significant factors in the 1905 revolution, as much of the discontent in Russia was due to anger at Nicholas ' autocratic Tsarist government. It could be argued that the repressive Tsarist system was not the fault of Nicholas II, but instead a problem that had been in existence for decades before his reign began. For example, Nicholas ' predecessor Alexander III was also committed to the preservation of the autocracy, and arguably took steps towards repression, through Russification and censorship, in addition to the introduction of the Okhrana. Therefore, it could be argued that Nicholas was not to blame for the repressive Tsarist system or its consequences, due to the fact that it had been in existence before his reign began. However, as Nicholas did little to stop the government being so repressive, it could be argued that he was still to blame. Despite widespread calls for reform from individuals such as Father Gapon, these requests were not acted upon, so in some ways Nicholas II can be held to account for the ... British M1–6 agent Mary Chapman helps Stone try to solve this horrific crime. In this journal I will be questioning the race of the terrorist group, evaluating the attack on John Kravitz, and predicting what will happen to Stone while he is in Russia. Because John was the suspect, the police went to his house to talk to him and see if he was guilty of these crimes. John was coerced by the sheriff to step outside and talk to them, but right as he walked outside he was shot. Somebody in the woods fired a high caliber round through John's chest instantly killing him. Stone states: "Well, I guess we know now that kravitz was part of the bombing plot" (Baldacci 195). This shows that John was shot so that he wouldn't tell the cops information about the bombing. Whether he was forced into planting the bomb, or if the bomb was his idea. Changes Throughout History : World History Paige Dispalatro Ms. Molina World History Period 0 27 May 2016 Changes Throughout History The past has always influenced the future in which many generations will live in. Sometimes incidents and ideas are warnings but other times, these incidents and ideas can evolve into something that can help the future in time. From 1945 to 2015, society has been changing and improving the science behind bombs and from 1969 to 1977, the world has escalated their determination on putting men into space whereas even music and musicians during the years 1968 to 1980 influenced people's way of life. From political, social, and technological changes, the past allows generations to evolve in life as individuals and as a society. Both politics and political issues have changed society's views on the world. On July 16, 1945, the first atomic bomb was dropped. The United States established the Manhattan Project, comprised of the country's leading scientists to create a bomb, which led to the creation of the atomic bomb, which was to be dropped onto Japan. From the bomb, 90,000 to 146,000 people were killed in Hiroshima and 39,000 to 80,000 people were killed in Nagasaki. The atomic bomb wiped out many blocks and destroyed many streets and buildings. This bomb was the most deadly bomb to successfully drop in that time. However, in 1954, the United States successfully detonated the first hydrogen bomb in the Pacific. As a child in middle school and high school I, we have all heard of the atomic bomb and of course of Hiroshima, but never in as much detail or on such a personal level as these stories. Not even in chemistry or physics class, where I learned some of the specifics as to how the bomb works, had I known of the destructive force of the bomb or it's gruesome effects on human beings. As I mentioned before, this book was quite an eye–opener for me because it has taught me just how deadly nuclear weapons can be not only on material properties, but on human beings, and why nuclear weapons must never again be used is such a way. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first story of the book we hear is that of the Reverend Tanimoto. He is dropping off some goods at a friend's house for safekeeping some 3,500 yards, or two miles, away from the center of the explosion and that house crumbles to the ground from the force of the blast. That seems so amazing to me because in such a huge city, most of the time, you cannot even see two miles away. It may be difficult for most people to appreciate the force of a bomb that can destroy something two miles away, but most airplane bombs only destroy things within about 100 yards. That would be everything within a football field completely wiped out, now imagine something that could level everything within 35 football fields! The book also accounts just how much pressure the bomb exerted and how hot the bomb blast was according to scientists of the time. These were two other awesome statistics. The pressure of the blast was estimated to be somewhere between 5.3 to 8 tons per square yard. A yard is slightly larger than a person's arm and most people cannot lift more than a hundred pounds on one arm. Imagine having over 10,000 pounds, or five tons, of pressure being exerted on your arms? It's almost unbelievable. The heat given off by the blast is just as astonishing a number as the pressure. Babcock I002 FALL 15 HIST 102 Dr. Lilia Anand American Military University Abstract The Atomic Bomb or known Atom Bomb was created by a scientist, which assembled the first bomb. He and General Leslie Graves officially and successfully tested it in New Mexico, July 21, 1945. Despite this, two refugees from Italy and Germany in the early 1940's, Enrico Fermi and Leo Szilard were the first to ever produce a controlled chain reaction. The bomb was created to use during WW2 and end it. This was big for America as president Franklin was notified that Germany was working on a similar weapon to use on America and its Allies. This bomb was needed to win the war and it took approximately 160,000 lives as a result while also having many affects on the people then, the people today, and the environment (Henretta, Edwards, & Self, 2012). The US was the first and only country to this day to drop an atomic bomb on another country, not once, but twice. This did end the war; however, the results were quite devastating to Japan. The environment and lives lost were all greatly impacted however, the world as a whole would be impacted for years to come.
