6. The Gateway Project -- Harvard is planning to develop a mixed-use facility for
academic and administrative offices on the upper levels and ground floor retail
space to complement the Barry’s Corner Residential and Retail Common. The
Gateway Project will be built on the site of the current Charlesview Apartments,
which are set to be demolished.

10. Mixed Use Facility and Basketball Stadium - Will be built at 175 Harvard Ave,
currently the site of the Harvard Educational Portal. The Ed Portal provides
educational support for Allston students and adults by Harvard faculty and
students. The Ed Portal will be moved elsewhere.
11. In 2007, the BRA approved Harvard’s Science Complex. Construction began in late 2007, but
Harvard stopped after the 2009 global financial crisis. The area has remained a pedestrianimpermeable construction zone. They have resumed work on the Science Complex and have
retained the original architects, Behnisch Architekten.

Western Avenue. The program was previously located at 219 Western Avenue.
