Simple machines
make it easier for us
to perform work and
other activities.

A lever has a long, stiff

fulcrum.
It is used to carry or lift
heavy objects easily.

7. Parts of a Lever
A lever consists of three main: the fulcrum, the load, and the effort.

The fulcrum is
where the rod or
beam pivots.
The load refers to
the weight carried
by a lever.
The effort is the
force applied to
do the action.
