• Previous knowledge : Students have learnt to the format of writing
a summary.
• General Objectives : By the end of the lesson, students will be able
to :
a) Produce a informative summary based on materials
b) Determine the main idea and important elaboration of the
materials
• Materials : Video, laptop, projector, pictures
• Induction set (5 minutes)
1. Teacher shows a video clip of a health product commercial.
2. Teacher ask a representative to explain briefly the message of the commercial.
3. Teacher explains the concept of summary to the whole class.

Skills : listening and speaking
• Development 1 (10 minutes)
1. Teacher ask students to form a group of 5.
2. Teacher distributes a text.
3. Students read and understand the text.
4. Teacher distributes few pictures which wraps the texts and asks student to sequence the
pictures based on text.
5. Students complete a bubble map given based on their understanding.

• Development 2 (20 minutes)
1. Teacher ask students to write a summary of the complete picture and based on the bubble
map they have draw.
2. Teacher gives 15 minutes to complete the task.

1. Teacher ask students to pass up their summary.
2. Teacher recaps the learning objectives that they have learnt from the lesson.
