This document discusses the role of technology in curriculum delivery and trends in education. It notes that technological innovation is rapidly developing and changing education. Three key trends are identified: 1) a shift from teacher-centered to student-centered learning, 2) moving beyond just delivering facts to cultivating different types of intelligence, and 3) increased use of information and communication technology (ICT). ICT is already influencing education and its impact is expected to grow rapidly with more affordable computers available to schools. The primary roles of educational technology are to upgrade teaching and learning quality, increase teachers' and students' capabilities, and broaden delivery of education outside of schools.
