tips on how classroom teachers can
stir learning through games.
Make progress visible: Feedbacks
should be given instantly. When
playing a video game, players aim to
progress in levels to see how great
they are in the game. Gami ed
lessons can have similar elements.
Instead of giving grades or points,
teachers can opt to make progress
bars and levels, so students can set
goals for themselves. They will also
value achievement with this
technique.

assignments, opt for a quest: When
graded activities like assignments or
tests are turned into quests or
challenges, students perform
