The music video starts in black and white with shots of wires and rocks, creating a dark and mysterious mood. We hear the artist singing but don't see her face. The bass line kicks in, revealing a obscured body part on a bed. The video consists of Banks lip-synching to the song alongside conceptual images and projected videos, with a static effect separating the shots. There are voyeuristic elements where Banks is depicted in a sexual way through close-ups and mid-shots, exhibiting her sexuality as an independent female artist inviting the gaze of her audience.

Banks - Fall Over
1.
2. You got my heart
You got my mind to fall
beating
Beating, beating, over
beating
Fall over, fall over, fall
over…
3. The music video starts off with close-ups of wires
and rocks in a derelict environment, the video is
also in black and white which creates a dark
mysterious mood and an enigma because we can
hear the artist singing in the background but
haven’t yet seen her face. The bass line then kicks in
revealing a shot of a body part, which is quite
obscured by the lighting, dark shadows and
extreme close-up. We know see the artist, ‘Banks’
on a bed, a mid shot reveals half undressed lipsynching to the lyrics.
4. The music video consists of performance shots of Banks
lip-synching to the track and conceptual images and
projected videos combined together. There is a static
effect which separates the shots linking to the
distorted, obscure nature of the video. There are
several shots of the artist, depicted below, against a
wall with projected videos of a mushroom cloud and
shattered things, symbolising the essence of her
destructive relationship.
5. The artist’s face is quite obscured, hidden by shadows
throughout the video, emphasising her mood and the
general tone of the music video. There is one point in
the video where Banks looks with direct mode of
address, while lip-synching to the camera. At this point
she engages the audience whereas before there was a
disconnect and the audience were only involved from a
voyeur POV.
6. There is voyeuristic elements to this video, with various
shots of the main artist, Banks represented in a very
sexual way. She is half dressed wearing a bra and the
mid-shots and close-ups show her sexuality explicitly.
Rather than her body being exploited or and objectified
like in Hip Hop video, Banks is exhibiting herself as an
independent female artist and invites the sexualised
gaze particularly from the male audience.
