1. BAND IMAGE MANIPULATION
The image above is the main image that I used for my front cover of my finished media product.
The image is of the featured artist called Amelia Cranstoun.
As you can see my final image that I have use on my front cover is a lot different to the raw image
which I took. I changed the image in order to increase the quality of my image and to make it much
more eye catching. I felt that the raw image which I took was abit too dark considering most other
cover magazines have high key images. I felt it would also attract the attention of the readers if the
image on the front cover looked better. I increased the
brightness of my image as well as zooming and
cropping it. I also manipulated the image to remove
any spots or blemishes on my model.
Once I did this, I wanted to give the image more depth
to make it stand out more as it is my cover image.
to achieve this I increased the contrast of the image to emphasise its background shadows, etc…
increasing the contrast and brightness have my cover page image a more professional look and
made certain elements of the image stand out more, succh as the lips (which I also edited and made
them more red.i also increased the saturation and edited the hue slightly.
I like the way I made her lips more red as they stand out and now match my colourscheme.
