This document outlines the objectives and tasks for Assignment 1 which requires students to create an information panel on the construction industry in groups. The objectives are to introduce the various professionals involved in the construction industry, develop an understanding of construction project teams and their roles, and assess students' knowledge of the construction process. Students must carry out research on the construction industry, discuss panel layout with their group, and include content on topics like key organizations, construction phases, the design team's roles, and safety and health issues. Their panel should have 2-3 mounting boards with images and be assessed based on accuracy, clarity of ideas, and creativity.

ASSIGNMENT 1 (Group 10%)
Objectives:
1. To introduce the scope of work handled by professionals and sub-professionals in their
respective professions both in the public and the private sectors in Malaysia.
2. To enable students to develop an understanding of the building team, its organization, their
duties, responsibilities and the inter-relationship within which they will seek employment,
career progression or further study.
3. To learn about the general overview of construction industry from mankind perspective derived
from different point of views.
4. To assess the students understanding on the general construction process from the sketch
plan to completion of a building and introduce the scope of work handled by the players
involved.
5. To develop graphic skills in summarizing the information such as (but not limited to) definition,
construction process, team players, classification, stages in construction etc.
Task (GROUP)
1. To carry out an in depth study to get as much information and references about
CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY.

2. The lecture 1 and 2 might be one of the resources but you are REQUIRED to incorporate extra
information as elaboration or further explanation about Construction Industry.
3. Discuss with your team members on the arrangement of your info panel. The arrangement
layout of your panel should also incorporate some images whichever necessary.
4. The arrangement layout should be interesting, neat and clear.
5. The authorship of your group (2cm spacing) shall be allocated on the bottom part of every
panel. The authorship shall have Taylor’s University official logo and indication of the group
info :
