   From my audience feedback I also learnt I used the gate
    keeping theory effectively. This is where the editor can
    manipulate images and pick a particular image from several
    that have been taken in order to have a desired effect on the
    audience. I used gate keeping effectively on my main image
    on my front page.
   I captured many images of my model and
    decided on a particular one that portrayed
    him as a vicious criminal who doesn't care
    about his actions. This gave my audience a
    sense of realism which was evident from my
    audience feedback.
   However products such as my poster supports Chomsky's
    theory that Audience is the product as they are being
    delivered to advertisers through the media text. It could be
    said my newspaper production is a way to get the audience
    to advertisers to build a brand for the newspaper.
   Furthermore from my audience feedback I
    also learnt that my production support the
    Uses and gratifications theory as I found that
    audiences are active and use media texts for a
    variety of purposes rather than the
    hypodermic syringe where it is stated that
    audiences are passive and are easily
    brainwashed.
   I learnt that audiences are not slaves to media
    texts ideas and can uses texts for there own
    purposes such as the need to be informed
    and also for entertainment and diversion. The
    purpose of diversion seemed to be put across
    from feedback from my poster as my
    audience suggested that the image was
    unique.
