Cdg (hot spare)
1. FedEx Hot Spare CDG
Times
Hot Spare 1: 1100z-2100z
Hot Spare 3: 2300z-0330z
Crew
1100-2100z. The Crew will be in the Hotel (Suite Novotel Roissy +33 1 34 38 54 54) and will
need to be ready for a pick up at reception 30 minutes from initial call. We have 90 minutes
from initial call to off blocks. Transport to and from the Hotel will be by First Logistics. Flight
plans are to be sent to AirData Distribution list HOT1 which covers emails GOCC-
CDG@corp.ds.fedex.com, flyco@corp.ds.fedex.com, GOOC-CDG@mail.fedex.com
Crews collect flight paperwork in FedEx crew room ‘Flyco’ and can self brief –
weather/notams here. Flyco will arrange transport to the aircraft.
2300-0330z. The Crew need to be at the FedEx facility, as we have 45 minutes from call to
off blocks. Transport to the airport will be provided by EAP shuttle – pick up at 2230z with
return to hotel from FDX HUB at 0330z (if not called out). The contact will be EAP Operations
Dept (+33 1 48 16 97 97 or 97 98). If the crew are called to operate Mike Kay will advise EAP
the return crew transport trip is not required. Crew will be in the crew room, if called, so
flight plans will be sent to crew assist.
Fuel
We need to keep standard fuel on board 2500kgs for an ATR-42 and 3000kgs for an ATR-72.
In the event we need additional fuel please contact GOCC.
Ballast
We need to keep 300kgs of ballast on board in case of call to position empty. If there is
freight and we are weight restricted, this can then be removed but please advise via voyage
or flight report.
Aircraft Parking
The aircraft may be parked on Air France ramp, keep in mind that fuelling, loading,
maintenance is not allowed on this ramp. Note on Day 5 we may be required to move the
aircraft from FDX ramp to this ramp and back again on Day 1.
Aircraft Sealing
We will require aircraft to be sealed after each night’s operation in CDG.
Destinations
The following regular destinations have been set up in AirData for flight plans. All plans are
Euro control compliant.
LYS, MRS, NCE, TLS, SXF, HAJ, STR, MUC, CGN, CPH, AOI, MXP, VCE, LIS, OPO, BCN, VLC,
VIT, MAD, AMS, GLA, NCL.
Handling / Airport / Fuel
If we are called to operate one of our own routes then all these services are ok. For another
operator’s routes, we have agreement from them to utilise their contract services.
A list of airport briefs have been posted on Acclaim. We has arranged with Air BP that we can
pick up fuel on open release at the Captain’s request at the following stations: AMS, BCN,
CGN, CPH, HAJ, LIS, LYS, MAD, MRS, MUC, NCE, OPO, TLS, VCE, VIT, VLC.
We can also use Word Fuel Services for any Adhoc arrangements.
2. Be aware several airfields are Category B and require crew self brief prior to departure. Check
details on airport briefs via Crew Assist.
Hotac will be arranged by ACL. Confirm Hotac with ACL Ops.
Crew to ensure Eastern European binder is on board before departure and any ad-hoc RPM
sheets will be supplied from Dublin.
Note when crew arrive at destination after a call out it is vital we get next report
time for communication to FedEx ASAP.
