Sanger High School serves a diverse population of 2,760 students in eastern Fresno County. 72% of students are Hispanic, 13% white, and 12% Asian. The mission of Sanger Unified School District is to guarantee each student attains personal and academic goals through a dynamic learning community characterized by challenging environments celebrating creativity and diversity. Goals include promoting early literacy and preparing students for college and careers. ISA High School provides language immersion opportunities abroad for US students at an affordable price, recognizing its role in increasing awareness of other cultures through support before, during, and after students' time abroad.

The mission of Sanger Unified School District, the cornerstone of

4. POPULATION
The present enrollment is approximately 2,760 with a diverse student
population of 72% Hispanic, 13% white, 12% Asian, and 3% other. Of the
2,760 students, 12% are classified as English Learners (EL) and 30% have
been redesignated as Fluent English Proficient (RFEP), and 3% are migrant.
38% of parents’ primary language is other than English. The number of
students qualifying for free and reduced lunches is 74%.
5. GEOGRAPHIC
• Sanger Unified School District covers 180 square miles in eastern Fresno
County from the city of Fresno to the foothills, includes the city of
Sanger, the communities of Del Rey and Centerville, and suburban and
rural areas. Sanger Unified adjoins Fresno, Clovis, Fowler, Selma, Kings
Canyon, Parlier, and Sierra Unified School Districts. The district is rich in
agriculture and suburban areas. The location offers students three
community colleges and two universities within 20 miles. Sanger is a small
close-knit community with a median income of $26,500 per household.

• The demographic groups that tend to live in this community is the same as
the students that go to Sanger High School. Majority is Hispanics- as well
as white, Asian, and others.
• The students walk, ride the bus, drive, and/or get rides to and from school.
• The school is involved with the community because it’s serving most of
the population with education and activities.
• Sanger Unified has nineteen schools, including three charter schools, a
community day school, and an adult school.

• The clients are the youth that come to this school- the students. They are
the reason why the school exist.

• This school is empowering the students by teaching them. By giving them
the knowledge that will help them further their education and better their
future. The students are offered many services that will assist them in
anything they need.
• The school has its own values that they feel are important and the students
seem to understand them and they do a good job in following them.
• Everyone that works in this school are very aware of the different cultures
that this school brings and they do a great job in accommodating each one.
11. ISA HIGH SCHOOL
MISSION
ISA High School's mission is to provide high quality language and cultural
immersion opportunities to U.S. high school students at an affordable price.
We recognize that we play an important role in the worldwide effort of
international educators to increase individuals' awareness of cultures and
societies outside of their own national boundaries. Our programs are designed
to maximize our participants' learning abroad, and we understand that high
school students need support and expert guidance before, during and after
their time abroad.
12. ISA HIGH SCHOOL
• The culture that attend this program is very diverse. The students come
from all over the world.
• ISA works closely with accredited foreign universities in addition to
resident staff in each program location in order to provide cultural
activities, tutoring services, language exchanges, volunteer opportunities,
and many opportunities to improve foreign language skills. Through ISAHS programs, students have options to equip themselves with working
knowledge of a second language, or in some programs, take courses in
English. Students earn college credit, experience another culture and
explore the area around their host city through both daytime and overnight
cultural excursions.
